FAQ:
How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 7:30am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?

Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.
lost point blank 3...again
I kept refreshing the search page looking for Point Blank games I did not see any of them in stock the person who bought it is lightning fast.

yeah, the last couple times point blank 3 was in, they've been gone within a minute.
Missed out on Castlevania Chronicles for PS1.
Wha? I search for that every day including this morning, and I've never seen it in. What's the price on it?

$24.99
The funny thing is, with all the DS games I've bought and all the ones I've looked into, there are still some that show up that I know nothing about.

One of these days I'll have to look into the Mega Man Battle Network series:

29.99 b/c
I know how you feel. Half of these used DS games I had no idea were coming out/already out.
There are rumors that YOU are the EB update gal...Location: West Chester...Hmmmm...
Yes, it's a 4 minute drive down the highway from here... ironically, two years ago I drove past it every morning to drop my girlfriend off, and paid it not a bit of attention! And now I'd be willing to storm the place if they'll let me buy rare stuff.
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/241167.asp

anyone know if this game is any good? Looks interesting, and with the sequel coming out soon, im considering picking it up.
I thought it was just OK. the story was kind of convoluted and the gameplay was just very repetitive. I got it at launch and I don't think it was worth the $39.99 I paid, but for $14.99 b/c, knowing what I know now, I would pick it up.

i got my suikoden 2 and thousand arms yesterday.
suikoden 2 came disc only
thousand arms came complete though which surprised me.

Power Stone 2 got here yesterday, good condition with case but no manual. If anyone has a manual for sale or trade, let me know.

PS2 component cable was 1st party, new/good looking in a standard EB used accessory bag. Last time I got one, it was a 3rd party from Monster Cable, and it broke. Glad its a 1st party this time.

Uncharted Waters was cart only in excellent condition.

Surprisingly, those are the only 3 things I've ordered since October.

Nothing on the update for me but not a total waste I saw a little promise in store locator. Think I'll have the wife drive me around to a couple of the stores so I can dig in the stacks. She's always saying we should do more things together.
If they actuallly send you what's in the picture, this is a good deal:

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/231475.asp
You might get the Logitech one and in that case this would be a good deal. But you might also get a Mad Catz or something generic . . . you could return it.

I got the pictured Logitech one at Goodwill for $15 (a Target return) and it has worked great.

I really want to grab one of these, while they are still available, but my EDGE card expired a couple days ago!

Thank you very much, botticus!

Man, I had the chance to get a missing manual, otherwise complete, Valkyrie Profile today at EB for $60, and I passed it up as I think the manual would be damn near impossible to find.

I would have bought it, if you can still get it...

I might go back tomorrow and check, as they also had a non GH copy of Silent Hill for the PS.

Funny thing is, the place I went to before EB, actually had the guide for Silent Hill, and I was like sweet and just left it.

Yeah, and I noticed yesterday that the price on Silent Hill has dropped to $7.99.
Last year, it was going for a whopping $24.99!

Even better news.

Anyone know whether or not the Silent Hill guide is hard to come by? I almost picked it up for $6 and some change. It was in decent shape.

Anyone ever see Fire Pro Wrestling 1 or 2 (for GBA) in-stock on ebgames.com lately? I haven't seen either in-stock for quite a while.

I just received my copy of Silhouette Mirage in the mail yesterday(disk only and good condition) so I was happy. Anyways I was searching through the PS1 bin at a local Gamestop today and found a mint copy of silhouette Mirage(I mean BRAND NEW mint, probably just opened) so I grabbed it for $4.99.

When I got home I opened it up and noticed that the disks were different(had a different picture on the disk), so I was wondering if they did different prints of this game, they had a special edition, or a possible reprint.

The new game had a shiny sticker on the case saying "includes Lunar 2 demo", but I not sure if the older EB disk has any such demo on it(I still need to check).

Does anyone know anything about this? I can put up a pic of the disks if you guys like.

Working Designs was notorius for releasing different disc art for their games. (Lunar is the best example, as there are many different variants.) They probably still have the discs archived on their site: www.workingdesigns.com How I miss them...

cool deal, thanks!

I didn't see anything I wanted after Brigandine, so I'm done. Thought about DQ7, but don't want it badly enough to take it away from someone here who might really want it. I need to quit spending so much on games anyway, I've got to get Tales of Legendia next week.

It's nice to watch the update in the morning and not really want anything anymore. All I do is endlessly refresh the Phoenix Wright link in hopes that MAYBE it will come in stock. But even if it did I doubt i'd be fast enough.

Anyway, looks like Atelier Iris got a price drop. Says 44.99 on the page but if you add it to your cart the new price of 26.99 is reflected.
