Here's the new thread. If there are any other links that you would like added or removed (sorted by system, rare games, etc), let me know and I'll take care of it as I have time. FAQ:
How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 7:30am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?
Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.

Yes! I got my Front Mission 3 (PS1) today! I ordered it exactly a month ago! YESSSS!! It better be good... :D
 
How much was The Sims 2 on DS, gamestop (b&m) was still charging a full 34.99 or 39.99 price tag on it so whatever price you got it for was probably very good!

great game imo. the story keeps your interest without getting too slow or complicated. and the battles are great fun. also remember that there are two separate quests that you can do depending on your answer to a question in the beginning of the game (i forget exactly what but it has to do with going somewhere with someone).. so you can enjoy the game twice! :)

WOOO i just got it WOOOOOO 80 buck game shipped for 3 bucks LOL right... there is 0% chance in getting the cards.. the cards are the only thing that made this game worth 80+ on ebay.... I had this game a few years back but lost the freaking disc (only pay 4 for it) 3.15 shipped isnt bad for a yu gi oh game

I think it was $24.99 (I passed on it) . . . so $18.74 after coupon for a used game . . . pretty good.

Does EB have a history of shipping things like this differently? Can't think of any examples off hand, but it would really suck if some came complete with the guitar and some came game only.

Yes, Sims 2 DS was $24.99 pre-codes, 18.74 + tax after. Not the deal of the century, but a very good price, still. I would much rather have gotten in on the Guitar Hero deal, but, I'm... very... happy... for... the... people... who... did... get... it :bomb:. Seriously, congrats all, early bird gets the guitar.

I didn't see anything today but my Norse by Norsewest arrived yesterday!

Disc only of course but I don't care because it is $1.50 of gaming goodness . . . nice that that the gameplay didn't change much from SNES to PS.
 
I have to wonder how many of the really good games the employees keep for themselves and the managers sell on Ebay. That's why I think chances of getting a complete valkarie profile / sudikon II etc. are pretty slim.

Hmmm....my Arc the Lad Collection still hasn't come yet. I ordered it on the Dec. 16th, and the last update that the USPS website says is for the 22nd of Dec. Does it usually take saver shipping this long for stuff to ship when ordered around the holidays like that? Should I consider contacting EB's support? I'm not really that interested in the copy from EB that much anymore since I'm sure it'll just come all busted up, and I'd rather have a somewhat better looking copy from eBay even if it costs a little bit more, I just was curious since I don't want it to arrive too late to return.

At first, I misread your post and thought it said $5.99 b/c. My trigger finger twitched.

Still it's a good deal for a good FPS. I passed because I'm holding on to my cash for that $10 DOOM CE at EB this weekend.

I'm sure it happens occasionally. I thought the same thing until my copy of Suikoden II arrived minty fresh in November. All it takes is one score to restore your faith in humanity!
 
Has anyone tried ordering Persona 2? I know that this just got a reprint and I was wondering if my chances were good that it's a complete copy of the game.

If you want to be sure of the quality, just go to a EB Games or Gamestop store, there's tons of copies out there now. It's hard not to find it now that it's been reprinted.

i've got a perfect condition one i picked up at EB the other day, if you have stuff for trade.

yeah, this was $6 at EB when i picked up AtL Collection, and it wasn't a reprint either. i was surprised, especially because i'd picked up a reprint at Gamestop for $20 during the B2G1.

I'm not sure that the existence of a single fool who would take $4 for the trade in of a mint copy of Suikoden II exactly restores my faith in humanity. It does, however, make me happy that I can benefit from said foolishness.

I must concur. However, that's how my brother got his copy of Suikoden 2 and how I got my copy of Valkyrie Profile. Even better was the fact that both games were in excellent condition with every single piece intact, if not looking mint.

That's the one nice thing about trade-ins of sought-after games near me. The people who trade-in lesser-known anime series, movies, and rare games have a tendency to keep their items in pristine condition. The other bonus is that in the case of unknown anime series and unknown/independent/foreign movies, those prices are even lower since nobody wants to buy them. I like picking up fantastic movies, perfect condition, for $4 to $6 a pop.

I went in to one of my local EBs last night and asked for a copy of the Preowned Playstation games list (most stores will print me up a new list since they don't keep many on the floor.) He turns to me and says "We don't carry those anymore." And I was like, "Well, your website said you had X and Y and maybe Z in stock." And he was like "Oh, those. Those are what we kept for employees. We shipped everything else back over a week ago."

This happening at anyone elses EBs? Seems like all the goodies from my local stores are going to now be available online only.

Not as of yet as far as I can tell, and I've visited my local eight or nine EBs back at home as well as the ones out here in IN. All of them still had a large pile of PSX games, although most of the pickings have grown ever so slim (save for reprints and new people turning in some quality games).

And since my local GameStops are the same way, I'm thinking very YMMV? I guess it would depend upon the area. People are still walking into game stores around here asking for PS1 and N64 games so I imagine that the ones on my end may hold onto those titles for quite a while longer if there's a demand.
 
Believe it or not there are some people that would take the 4$ trade in for Suikoden II, some stupid kid will just think of it as an old psx game that he/she doesnt like anymore, and gladly accept the trade in.

i just return the one i got back around dec 20... came disc only with broken case... Wasnt worth 33 bucks shipped when i found someone here who was selling DISC ONLY for 15.... broken case isnt worth 17 bucks to me .
