Here's the new thread. If there are any other links that you would like added or removed (sorted by system, rare games, etc), let me know and I'll take care of it as I have time. FAQ:
How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 7:30am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?
Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.

I'm so happy that I hit the snooze button on my alarm. I just didn't feel like getting up too early this morning. I guess it worked out for me anyway.

Don't think so, cause it wasn't the best rpg on the system way back when (Grandia II and Skies of Arcadia), but I'd buy that copy off you.
 
They STILL haven't shipped my pre-played Front Mission 3 (PS1) yet. I ordered it on the 10th and it hasn't even shipped yet? WTF?! I got Wild 9 and the memory card over a week ago. What B.S. :bomb:
 
Gotta keep your hopes down. I had hopes that Parappa would come complete (they had 20 instock) . . . alas, arrived disc-only. $9? . . . I may return it.

They seem to get Front Mission 3 in stock everyday. It has to be an error making it as if when you order it your on back order since they don't actually have it in stock. I ordered one early November and it didn't ship for about 2 weeks as they must have actually gotten some in at that time.

They usually seem to never fix anything in a timely manner if it's minor or not losing them any money like the GameBoy games that saver dosen't work on.

Disc only? As in one disc? If thats so, then no wonder why you can't sell it! Its a two disc game...

I was wondering if you tried out Strider on your PS or PS2 yet? The disc art on mine is for the original arcade Strider, but when I pop it in, the game is actually Strider 2.

My first shipment came in and Tales of Destiny and Strider 2 were disc only, and I guess I'm technically missing the arcade Strider disc for Strider 2. Dragon Quest VIII and Stella Deus came in good shape though.

Don't you guys remember the disc screwup with Strider 2? There was huge buzz in '99 (I think that's when it came out) and people realized the wrong game was printed on the wrong disc. Fun stuff. :)
 
With all the money I have/will have spent at TRU this week, I think I'll be handicapping myself for the update so I can miss out on everything I would want.

what have you bought so far and are you planning on going this morning? what games do you plan to get? i think i'm going to look for FF 1&2, GS: TLA, Darkstalkers, Fatal Frame 2, RE4, and Pikmin 2. any other good ones?

I think I've actually bought everything before hand taht I really want: RE4, Pikmin 2, Metal Slug Advance, Mr. Driller, and Golden Sun. Got Fight Night Round 2 online last night. Only thing I'm debating is F-Zero GP, and then I have someone looking for Advance Wars 2 for me. Then of course the requests from other CAGs. Too much! And I have to be at work at 8, so no morning shopping for me.
 
Great SNES update. Castlevania IV, Paladin's Quest, Soul Blazer, few other RPGs that haven't popped up in recent memory. I don't know if I should bite so I'm probably going to miss out.

wow, did you get all those online? or did you buy them beforehand to get price adjusted later?

Price adjusting. Or more accurately, gonna print out a bunch of those $5 off $25 coupons and rebuy whatever I can in groups of 3, returning the other purchases ;)
 
Does anyone know if Phoenix Wright is hard to come by and why?

I'm not seeing it in the normal places and its listed for $50 by Amazon sellers (not that that means much).

Oh, I knew that already since I played my friend's copy around two or three years ago. I just corrected the title in my original post since I wanted to get both (of course) but...eh, what can you do?

Personally, I liked the old one a lot better even if it had the tendency to be completely and utterly unfair, brutal, and downright nasty!

You pretty much need to go to EB to get that one. Only place I've seen it. I'm holding out hope that someone gets that for me for Christmas so I don't have to go pay full price for a game. Though if I do, my $20 voucher will make that seem like not buying for full price.

I guess it depends. I can still find it all around over here without much of a problem. Same goes with Trauma Center. Perhaps there's a bit of lull in the stock? I know Trauma Center all but disappeared a few days after release, remained missing for two or three weeks, and has been cramming store shelves ever since.

Wow, I've already got all those, but that's a pretty damn nice haul.

Only thing of interest that I picked up was Mobile Light Force 1 (Gunbird 1 I think) for 2.24 shipped. I was half hoping for DW Monsters 1 for GBC, anyone know if that one ever comes in?

Quite a good game, actually. Just be careful, though, since there is a major glitch on most of the carts. I forget what it was exactly but basically you cannot come in contact with any of the trucks or other vehicles on the ground. Otherwise, in most carts, something major happens like the game freezes and whatnot.

What makes this bad is that, like in Bionic Commando, the ground sorties were insanely easy ways to get extra continues. However, remove that from the playing field and...well, good luck! I had to beat the last seven or eight stages on a single life with my save, and that last area makes the original Bionic Commando seem like a cakewalk!

I think that all of them have that problem, since I have yet to find someone to tell me otherwise. There's speculation that some work but I haven't found one and neither have my friends.

It's sort of like with Star Ocean 2's glitch in one of the bonus areas. So far I've gone through around 13 different copies of the game and they all have the random freeze. There was certainly more talk about that only being a glitch on certain production runs but...still, I've yet to touch a copy that hasn't had that problem.

thanks, DW Monsters 1 does come in however today was the first good GBC update in like a week. keep watching for it.

I got the game at launch and I had no problem saving in the game.

Do you still have a GBC? I didn't have this problem with my GBC (only on my GBA) so I was able to stock up on guys using my GBC.

My copy of Arc the Lad Collection arrived today disc only. The case (which was not intended to hold six discs) was in pieces and a couple shards. :whistle2:| Fortunately the discs were all right. I'm happy just to have the game, but I wish the shipping on the PSX games was a little tighter.
 
Meh... went over to the Ridge Park EB since the website said they had Castlevania IV. Couldn't find it, had them look it up... one left. Still couldn't find it, "must be stolen." Super. Or they're hiding in the back; told me they didn't have it held anywhere, so what can ya do.

Even more suspicious when the other employee said "Probably stolen" as soon as I asked about it. Wonder who was waiting to buy a friggin $3 game.
