Damn, I missed out on Mark of the Ninja.
Me too. Dunno why they don't do a one-day recap sale where everything is on sale again for one final day.

I have a feeling that Microsoft is going to revive all previous sales on 1/01/13 because there has to be a reason why they are showing everyone all the previous deals as "deals you missed". Maybe this will encourage people to buy what they missed previously on 1/01/13.

Or maybe I am totally wrong...

I hope so. I'd like to grab The Walking Dead. I missed out on that one.

OP updated - sorry for the delay!

Me too. For some reason I thought I had already purchased Fruit Ninja for my kids, so I bought all the extra boards when they were on sale. Then I found out I hadn't. I certainly don't want to burn 800 points for it (let alone 400) but 400 would obviously be better. Here's hoping it goes back on sale.

They did the same thing last year...

But no revive!

Come onnnnnnn Skyrim DLC. Can't wait till tomorrow!

Hmmm. I am not hopeful now... But this year may be the year?!
i played the demo of dungeon fighters and i wasnt to impressed. Any input from CaG that DF 400 msp is worth the bite?
The demo is a fine representation of the game. It doesn't really get any better. It's cheaply made, clunky, and extremely repetitive (they force you to play each level 3 times to unlock the next, every quest is a fetch quest, etc). I bought it because beat-em-up is my favorite dead genre and I wish I hadn't.

Dungeon Fighter is fun, but it's a shell of it's PC counterpart. DFO--the PC game--is free to play, and is a ton of fun. I would highly recommend that instead.

Guess I'll grab VF5:FS while it's on sale. Got it when PS+ plus had it free but I wouldn't mind having it for good on 360 at a reduced price.

Skyrim for $29.99. But the only DLC I see on sale so far is Dawnguard for 1200

If its only 400MSP off for the 2 DLCs...I might pass and wait for a GOTY. Or at least a 50% off sale.

I'm waiting a little longer to see what else drops.

I want Dragonborn the most out of them all. I might still go ahead and buy them since I have 6 ms cards I got for $10 each so I'm saving money all the way around.

For someone like me who hasn't even started Skyrim yet, could someone descibe the two DLC's a little? I'd be more interested in one that provides a new house/items (assuming those are better than other things you can get in the game) rather than new quests at this point. It's just that if I'm going to start now and invest in building up a house I'd rather have the good one early on.

But I know that I barely used much of the Oblivion DLC stuff so some is more useful than others.

Still, though, I don't have very cheap points right now and anything less than 50% off is pretty disappointing. So it would take something pretty awesome in those DLC packs to get me to buy them at 25% or whatever.

With this this official add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, journey off the coast of Morrowind, to the island of Solstheim. Encounter new towns, dungeons, and quests, as you traverse the ash wastes and glacial valleys of this new land. Become more powerful with new shouts that bend the will of your enemies and even tame dragons. Your fate, and the fate of Solstheim, hangs in the balance as you face off against your deadliest adversary – the first Dragonborn.

Heathfire --With this official add-on to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, you can purchase land and build your own home from the ground up - from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with an armory, alchemy laboratory, stable, garden, and more. Use all-new tools like the drafting table and carpenter’s workbench to transform quarried stone, clay, and sawn logs into structures and furnishings. Even transform your house into a home by adopting children.

Dawnguard™ is the first official game add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim® - the 2011 Game of the Year. The Vampire Lord Harkon has returned to power. By using the Elder Scrolls, he seeks to do the unthinkable - to end the sun itself. Will you join the ancient order of the Dawnguard and stop him? Or will you become a Vampire Lord yourself? Featuring an all new faction questline and locations, the ultimate choice will be yours.

Dragonborn... I heard you get to ride Dragons..... Haven't played it so anyone confirming this please add spoiler tags.

I just finished the main quest in Dragonborn tonight, it was pretty great. Not ultra long, but there are a LOT of sidequests and optional locations to explore on Solstheim. The actual dragon riding thing is
very slight and... kind of dumb. It is definitely not the awesome flying mount you might imagine. Still a cool DLC though.

Everything I've read has said that Dawnguard is a lot less substantial in terms of length and content, but it does allow you to get Serana who is supposedly the strongest/best follower in the game. I'll be buying it tomorrow.

So it sounds like a definite no for me on Dawnguard. But for the Hearthfilre one, I guess I was asking advice for those who played the main game and maybe this as well. Is it worth having from the beginning or do you get the usual assortment of houses to own regardless? is it just more customizable? Is that fun in this game?

I mean, I appreciate the cut n' paste of the descriptions, but that isn't what I was really getting at - I wanted some CAG impressions of the worth/value of the DLC.
where? all i see is 1200 on the xbox and xbox.com
I see 800 on the Skyrim Add-ons page, but the full listing and individual page still show 1,200. The confirm purchase pop-up from the Add-ons page also still shows 1,200. Probably has to take a little time to propagate through the whole system.
Well, fuck. I bought the Dawnguard earlier for 1200.
You should call Xbox and ask for a refund of 400 points.

I am also an individual that has purchased Dawnguard. fuck I haven't played that game in forever. fuck im buzzed. fuck they better not discount the rest under these conditions....

If you're thinking about grabbing Hearthfire, I think it's worthwhile to have in tandem with other stuff to do. You can purchase houses without it, but Hearthfire adds adoption, baking, and a couple of new ingredients, foods, and makes the grain mills usable. Plus, building a house is a great way to improve smithing.

So, if you like to do things other than fight baddies, I think it's worthwhile. If not, you can pass on it without really missing out on too much.

Thanks, I do like doing other things. In fact, fighting baddies is the least fun part of the game for me (at least in Morrowind/Oblivion it was). So I'll keep an eye out for that one going on sale. Hearthfire is 400 right now on xbox.com - is that 50% off? I wish they would show the original price when they have these sales.

Dawnguard at 800 is half off, right? I might just get that as well - not sure yet...

Sounds kinda boring I might skip this I don't want to adopt a kid or bake cakes...

I didn't realize it was just 400 to begin with. Just looked that up.

Also, don't like this (from a review):

Rooms are always built in a fixed place. Elsewhere, the fact that furniture can't be moved or customised in any way means that when you finish furnishing the - for example - bedrooms, it will just feel like a room found in a standard pre-built house. There's no opportunity to put your own stamp on the interiors, and that's probably the most lacklustre aspect about the expansion.

Can you at least place weapons/armor you find around the house? And books, potions, etc? I seem to remember doing that quite extensively in Morrowind at least (even putting things on shelves).

But I'll definitely buy it if it goes lower than 400 points. I mean, if it goes to 200, that is a great price. Obviously I'll hold off if it doesn't go on sale at all.

Quick question: how much is Dawnguard and Hearthfire originally?

Wondering if I should bite for the 800 Dawnguard, or wait if it goes for less than that when the sale officially starts tomorrow.

1600/400

Thanks! Hopefully Hearthfire goes for 200 or so.

Any chance for Dawnguard dropping sub 800? I know I know, I'm being hopeful for >50% sale but that WOULD be great. I'm thinking of just buying it for 800, really doubt it would go less than that.

I really wanted Sonic Episode II and Jet Set Radio, but I've lost most of my interest in Sonic and my Dreamcast is right goddamn there connected to the TV, so I'm gonna pass on both.
