Any chance for Dawnguard dropping sub 800? I know I know, I'm being hopeful for >50% sale but that WOULD be great. I'm thinking of just buying it for 800, really doubt it would go less than that.
I would go ahead and buy it now, just in case 800 is actually the mistake, and it goes back to 1200 at some point...

So I have a download code for Skyrim but have not even redeemed it yet. Wondering if it is worth getting Dawnguard for 800 or just wait till GOTY releases.
Picked up Dawnguard for 800. Not sure if it's a mistake or not, but it's mine now. Thanks!
How is it a mistake if you enjoy it? Haha

If you got in on the MS points for $10 for 1600 it's well worth it, but if not I would sell the code, and wait for the GOTY.
...Why is Hearthfire taking so long to go on sale?
Perhaps this is it... Maybe they are counting on the relatively cheap price to fool some people (as it almost did me) into thinking 400 is the sale price. But, then again, maybe that's just me being cynical ;).
I am still shocked that Mass Effect / Dragon Age DLC did not get a sale at year's end. It just flies in the face of reason.
So true. Throw in Risk Factions and you'd think the world was gonna end!
So true. Throw in Risk Factions and you'd think the world was gonna end!
Would have been hilarious if they scheduled Mass Effect and Risk Factions for 12/22. "No one can complain about the repeats because the world will have been destroyed anyway!"

According to Major Nelson, Hearthfire is supposed to be on sale today for 200.

I actually just called Xbox Support regarding Hearthfire not being discounted and they basically said keep checking throughout the day, but they'll be pushed to actually do something about it once they start getting more phone calls about it. If it starts getting towards the end of the day, call them and they'll "see what they can do", apparently.

Decided to hold off on Dawnguard. I have made this mistake in the past with games I have never played. Seems that Dragonborn is the better received DLC anyway so I can wait. Maybe I finally download my code and regret it but I have 100 hours of Skyrim still to play so I am not worried about content right now.

My final haul:
Fez - 400
Sonic Adventure 2 - 400
Dust: An Elysian Tail - 600
Trials Evolution - 800
Trials Evolution dlc - 200
Trials HD dlc #2 - 200
Borderlands 2 Season Pass - 1800
Walking Dead complete - 800
Skyrim Dawnguard - 800
Skyrim Hearthfire - 200
--------
Total: 6200 pts
My cost: $38.75 (thx to Target BF half-price cards)

Only regret Sonic Adventure 2… the nostalgia wore off fast, lol.
I have 790 points left and I've bought everything I set out to get. Is world of keflings and both dlc packs worth it for 720ms points?
If you don't have Peggle, get it + the dlc for 600 total. I thought it was dumb at first, but I've now beaten it twice (once on iPad, again on Xbox) and it is amazing.
i signed in xbox.com and was about to buy borderlands 2 season pass but it's showing 2400 online - am i missing something?
You're days late...

Try the demo first. I really enjoyed the game and I bought both of the DLCs that were on sale and even the third one that wasn't. The game is like a RTS without the combat. The humor is hit or miss. If it matters to you the achivements are very easy to get and there is a total of 450 points between the main game and the three DLC packs. There is only one online achievement for the game and it is very easy to get. Each of the DLC packs will take about an hour and a half to get all of the achievements for.

oops i thought it was ongoing till today. oh well - maybe next time or all in the goty version.
oops i thought it was ongoing till today. oh well - maybe next time or all in the goty version.
No, it was one of the daily deals. The daily deal today is Elder Scrolls and DLC and there are other ongoing deals.
$42.50 for Skyrim and the two DLCs.

Hmm, might just get the DLC and keep an eye out for Skyrim on Amazon Warehouse Deals.
If you don't mind having digital you can get a download code off eBay for around $20.
I didn't realize it was just 400 to begin with. Just looked that up.

Also, don't like this (from a review):

Can you at least place weapons/armor you find around the house? And books, potions, etc? I seem to remember doing that quite extensively in Morrowind at least (even putting things on shelves).

But I'll definitely buy it if it goes lower than 400 points. I mean, if it goes to 200, that is a great price. Obviously I'll hold off if it doesn't go on sale at all.
Yes, you can place weapons/armor around the house. There are mannequins, bookshelves, weapon racks, etc. There are also rooms dedicated to them such as the armory and library that you can choose to build.

I'd suggest not using the glass display cases though. I lost a damn dragon priest mask by leaving it in one of those.

Is CAG people's diary? What else did you buy last week? Tell me what groceries you bought on sale and how much did you pay for them?
Is CAG people's diary? What else did you buy last week? Tell me what groceries you bought on sale and how much did you pay for them?
Its a little unnecessary but I can understand why people would want to brag about their hauls. And maybe it alerts people to still open deals.

I'd trade the bragging posts for the utterly unnecessary and ridiculous "waiting for $10" posts any day of the week.

Clearly you bought a stick that you placed firmly up your own ass before coming on here.

Nice haul, lilman, mine isn't as large, but I still enjoyed the sale.

Joe Danger 2: The Movie
Mark of the Ninja

Thinking about picking up the Skyrim DLC while it is cheap and waiting for a sale on the physical discs.
75% of the posts on CAG are people shooting the breeze, sharing opinions, and just generally, you know, being friendly. It's nothing new. :)
And the other 25% are people complaining about it.

1. Don't we have a bragging rights thread? Bragging usually just clutters and doesn't provide any new info.

2. The "waiting for $10" posts are no different than someone saying: "I will pass, not for me" which are commonplace at CAG.

1. Did you think about this comment all by yourself? You must be proud of your creativity.

2. You guys should exchange Facebook accounts so you can compliment each other nonstop.

3. Please keep us informed about what else you are thinking about picking up. The entire CAG community is dying to know:lol:

Here is a more accurate breakdown:

1% posting deals or other valuable information
3% bitching about GameStop and how they hope go bankrupt and swearing they will never buy there (which we know they will go to the store when there are deals)
2% people like me complaining about the clutter or the "in stock threads"
93% of people with casual comments about what they got or are waiting for in the mail.
1% will post excessively and with tons of details about what they got and give you a thorough explanation about why they bought X games even though most people don't give a shit.

Cost to me 0: Zero... Free points from MS's recent Instore Bing promotion :)

I started playing wreckateer, and I recommend that to anyone with some left over points. It's Kinect only, but its like controlling an angry bird and hitting castles. It also has avatar famestar for anyone interested in that.

Just Walking Dead, Rock Band Blitz and Serious Sam 3 for me.

They need to run promos like this year round. Between games, DLC & avatar shit, they have enough content to pull it off.

I only bought the rest of the Walking Dead Episodes (3-5) and Bully: Scholarship Edition. It's been a week now and I still can't download Bully: SE. Not sure what's up with that, but Microsoft needs to fix it.

You need to start the download on Bully and then power down you XBOX immediately and it will download while off, worked for me.
