Fanatical Thread

So far this bundlefest is pretty underwhelming. Hasn't gotten me to buy anything yet. Need a good Killer Bundle to finish it up.

Pick and Mix has a few interesting games if you missed them from prior bundles. The King's Bounty titles are great.

The other bundle is perfectly split between new and repeats, and I don't think the half that's new is enough to warrant a purchase.

Though I didn't know The Battle for Sector 219 was on Steam or, for that matter, a PC game at all. I'm familiar with the physical game as I own it's predecessor, The Battle for Hill 218

I actually would bite on a few of these bundles if they were $1.49 or so. Some have decent games mixed with a bunch of repeats. This newest one looks aight....though not great.

I grabbed the Hotshot bundle for Axis Football, The Seven Years War and Meld. I mostly wanted Axis Football even though I know I'll never play it and it'll get bundled in an IndieGala bundle probably for cheaper but I'm impatient to own a game I'll never play. If anyone wants to split the bundle for any of the other games though I have no interest in them.

I'm probably getting it for Axis Football 16 as well. Played a prior version and it was competent.

It says it has local MP. Is there a way to emulate that and play it online with someone?

Not that I know of. Next year's version is supposed to have online, but no way to play it online this year. The game looks improved from last year's version, which was mildly entertaining. I'm excited to see the game continue to make improvements though, who knows maybe in a few years it will be a decent alternative to Madden.

That first review for 7 years really tempts me.

I ended up getting Chaos (Tier 2), Lucius (only had the first one), and Neon (for some reason)

Yea agree pretty much. Looking at past Bundle Fests, they've only launched a Killer Bundle with one once. It was on the last day of Bundle Fest 3, so hopefully they'll end it like that.

I have minimal interest in Chaos and Hotshot, but Chaos has too many repeats and Hotshot Id want it for literally one game (Axis Football). Hotshot goes for almost a month tho so in no rush and looking at Axis Football 16 on Youtube, it looks crap, although theres NFL and NCAA mods for it that seem to make it a bit more interesting.

Curious, what was the name of the KC team?

I was on the fence about getting the bundle until I looked at the reviews, if the game is halfway decent though I figure with that and Axis Football the bundle was worth a buy, wish it had been a bit cheaper though.

Do they have a XFL Mod for it yet?

I will buy this bundle actually. Pure +1s, some puzzle games, and BAD END is on my wishlist.
I might buy this for BAD END.. if it weren't for that I'd pass, but it seems that I only own 2 games from this bundle.

EDIT: Then again it lasts for 28 days.. might wait for a promo code or for tremor to stock it.

Only two repeats for me. It's a little tempting, but perhaps a bit too pricey.

So I don't really pay all that close attention to Bundlestars. How frequently do they do coupons? Do coupons usually show up during these bundlefests? Or are the coupon appearances totally random?

4000 posts and you didn't see that answer coming...?
You're right. I've been on CAG for a long time. I purchase prepaid debit cards specifically for use on sites such as the Humble Store and Indiegamestand because I've had to replace my debit card a few times over the years because of bad shit. Therefore, I refuse to use my personal debit on Bundlestars. I would like to take advantage of the deals on that site though if at all possible, but it's no skin off my nuts if I can't make any purchases there. I have enough games for them to bury me with when I die.

Just seconding what The End is saying.  Paypal is safe to use with humble, bundle stars, groupees type sites.  You can also utilize paypal for trading on CAG.  I get the idea of what you are trying to do with the prepaid, but I really think that paypal is a safe way to go and you can easily monitor it i.e. you should get an email every time you make a paypal and can log into paypal to review charges if need be.

Thank you for clarifying.

I have an account, but I don't really use it. But if that's the best way to go, I'll try that. Thanks for providing a useful and constructive answer. I was just trying to get the Batman bundle. Much appreciated.
You can use your prepaid cards through Paypal if you want, so that sites where it is difficult to use like BundleStars won't be such a hassle for you.

Have there been any new bundles released over the past few days? I checked the bundlestars bundle page, but it's such a fucking mess over there that it's hard to tell if anything is new.

Funny thing - I got an email from Bundle Stars last night saying I had unredeemed keys from last January when I was able to use a prepaid debit card because the site wouldn't take them again after that. So, it did work at one time, but I guess they're thinking they won't get paid or something. That's asinine.

Again with the FAKE NEWS!

I played it and finished it, it's quite a long campaign and really haven't had any desire to touch the DLC since.

Plus it's 83c here vs $4.50 for the Gold Edition at a sale price. That's a big difference.

If I had a dollar for every piece of DLC I bought that I didn't play... well, I'd probably buy more DLC that I still wouldn't play.

We're CAGs. We need to get the DLC. It's what we do.

Like I said.
