Fat Princess CAG Night - SUNDAY (3/28) Friendlies @ 5PM PST (IRC @ 4:30)

Out of curiosity, was it possible to start a game with un-filled reserved slots?? Also, if the game is full and a CAG wants in, are they out of luck? :lol:

Yeah, it's possible to start a game with unfilled reserved spots. And, yes, if it is full, you're pretty much out of luck. I don't think it's every really been full though. And people will drop out before the end so you can always retry after about an hour or come into the IRC and we may be able to stop after the current game to add more players or something.
 
Fat Princess CAG Night will happen tonight @ 5pm pdt / 8pm edt. IRC @ 4:30pm pdt. We will be playing a 32-player match with 12-14 slots reserved for CAGs and the rest will be open to the world. After Game 1, switch to team red so that we may be a CAG clan. :cool:
 
alright I'm gonna be there today for the most part unless I have to go somewhere. FAT PRINCESS FUN

You don't need to contact anyone. Just make sure one of your CAG friends - who also happens to be in the OP's Knights of the Round Princess - is also playing and join their game. Or you can add me. If you're still having trouble, join the IRC to get assistance.
 
I think maybe I can make it if my wife doesn't kill me since we didn't get much of anything done around the house today and I have 10 hours of work to do before a conference call in the AM. But I still want to play ;).
 
I just opened a mic I got from an Endwar bundle about 6 months ago and am currently charging it. I have no idea how to use it so we'll see if I can get it to work (and how long the charge will last!).

Did you connect it to the PS3 directly via USB (not in cradle) to sync it already? After it's sync'd just hold down power to turn it on/off. It works great.

Also, Fat Princess uses push-to-talk... Just hold down R2.

I just have it plugged in to my PC now. I'll probably be a few minutes late - hopefully I can join in. I think I have chibijosh in my friends list so hopefully I can find the game.
 
Someone needs to restart the server. Once that glitch happens, it's impossible for a win.
 
Well, I joined up for one incredibly long game and then my Internet broke and I got booted. I think I'm back on now and may see if anyone is still there...

It seems like the glitch disappears when the host leaves. It was resolved twice under different hosts.

So, I've been messing with my router, trying to figure out why random people can't connect to me. I can't figure it out. I have all the right ports forwarded and I enabled DMZ too.
 
Once I fixed the Internet (by power cycling my cable modem :roll:) I was able to get in random games but could not join up with you guys (via ShinChibiJosh). Oh well, I'll try again next time. At least I was able to snag a few trophies out of the session (killing 10 people and the 1500 calories of cake in a single game one which I did during that marathon game that I joined halfway through). I did notice that it was way easier to rack up kills in the second random game I went in to rather than in the CAG game. I was on the red team but it seemed CAGs were on blue too.

And I got my new headset to work but all I ever heard was Mana Knight and Kandal talking about Mana's job and such - not too useful from a gameplay perspective ;).
 
lol @ my conversation with mana knight. Barely anyone talked at all! Anyway, I wouldn't mind hosting a game here and there.

We usually start getting quiet after the first hour for some reason. :lol:
 
So my hosting ability seems to be limited to 20. And I thought I had a pretty good Internet connection (when it works, anyway). Oh well...

It appears I will be getting a second PS3 (a Slim using the Amazon $75 off system coupon that I got from trade-ins). One of the big reasons is so that me and the kids can play this game online together. I was pretty disappointed there was no splitscreen local multiplayer.

evergoo - I see you are in Berkeley. I hope to get down there with one of my kids in a month or two. I grew up there and went to Cal. My dad is still there so I needs to visit soon! The cool thing is he has a PS3 and with the easy login, free online, and gamesharing we can even play Fat Princess when we visit ;).

Sounds like there was a great turnout. I'll be returning to CA this upcoming Sunday. So, if jetlag isn't killing me, I'll try to make it for that game. Going through serious FP withdrawls.

Sorry guys for not being there yesterday. The school year is about to begin again and I won't be able to host Wednesdays anymore. Since no one took the full-time offer last time, I guess we can have arbitrary Wednesday hosts? Just post here if you want to host a particular Wednesday and I'll try my best to update the title with your name. The general responsibilities are posted below.


  • Have a laptop/computer in the same room as your PS3 in order to join the IRC
  • Stay active in the IRC from around 4:30 pm pst to 6:30 pm pst (doesn't necessarily require the host to play the game for 2 hours; just answer questions and provide technical support)
  • Find 1-2 CAGs in the IRC who can host 32 players
  • Accept PSN Friend Requests if need be (I've already taken most of the load)

Fat Princess Teases Pirates And Ninjas



What could possibly be missing from Titan Studios' multiplayer online PlayStation Network game, Fat Princess? Oh yeah...those. No details and no teasing words. Just a simple image popping up on Titan's website. Subtle. Classy. Pirates. Ninjas. New job classes for the game, or does someone over there just really love pirates and ninjas? The world may never know.
Oh of course we'll know, eventually.
