I got a perfect in one of my matches, there is video of almost all the matches but who knows if it will actually get posted. There were only a handful of good players there.

IMO, A lot of characters run on him for free.

Exactly. It's a stupid way to "balance" him. Straight up band-aid fix when it wasn't needed.

It's pretty funny reading all the comments on SRK front page about the nerf.

His health wasn't an issue, the more annoying things about him that should have been addressed were:

-Hard Drive having a ridiculous amount of Invul frames
-Command Grab (which can be Kara'd) and Regular Throw leading to Combos xx Almost Dead/Dead Characters

-2 Super Armored Moves, both of which lead into his main combos.

-Does a ridiculous amount of damage off of nothing. One good guess and you can do Day 1 combos and cause havoc.

-XF Level 3 Sentinel is ridiuclous.

Alllssoooo....GG's to Esper and Trajin tonight in MVC3. The lag was spiking pretty bad during the last few matches so I decided to call it a night.

new patch means sentinel becomes phoenix. lol.

i think the thing i like about the health nerf is that he will no longer be ridiculously hard to kill as an assist.
 
Im fine with sent nerf, i use him as my anchor anyway and hardly used his assist unless it was safe anyway, his lv3 xfactor is still going to be brutal as well.

Agreed 100%. Even playing other Sentinel players it gets annoying. Even when called out blindly, he always manages to stay around.

Played a bunch of random matches online with Sentinel. As expected, some of the matches where he gets rushed down for almost free (Wolverine, X-23, Zero) and the matches I feel he can get zoned out hard (Taskmaster, Trish) are a bit rough.

Taskmaster's extended BnB actually does great damage against Sentinel now! :lol:

After messin with Taskmaster for awhile. Definitely like his playstyle. I feel I can play him both ways - Use arrows to play the keep away game / use his swing and air arrows (Didn't utilize this at all yesterday, lol) to get in and apply pressure. Tasky's going to be in the rotation a lot more. He's a perfect fit to my Mag and Doom combo. They all have great assists, great projectiles, good dmg output, and health. In addition, they're all rockin capes, so that's a plus! :)

If I can't execute his bnb's, I'll alternate Task with the Hulk. The Hulk does great dmg without the fancy combos. All I need to use is his st.M and st.H into launch and I'm set.

So, now I have 5 characters that I'm comfortable with right now - Wolv/Mag/Doom/Task/Hulk. I just don't know the team order yet.

I'll still experiment with other characters in the future. The five characters I'm using now might not be set in stone.

edit - Wait, blitz rolls with the Colombian drug cartel? Where's Sosa at?

You need to mix in Ground/Air throws more with Taskmaster.

They both lead to his Supers, which do too much damage off such a braindead setup.

Tried out the 3DS at Best Buy today. the 3D is not that bad. Reminds me of Magic Eye. Didn't give me a headache either. I'm not really impressed to buy it day 1, but maybe later down the road when it drops in price.

No Krav Maga yet.. I won't be in the army for another 5-12 months. I might be going to an anime convention tomorrow... Harucon... I'm only going for the fighting games though. They're supposed to have SF and Tekken tournaments.. unfortunately by the time I get off work in the citrus groves I'll be too late for the SF tournament. :[
