these days Ima fan of Victoria Song.

she has nothing to do with fighting games!

you're off topic!

the whole system is off topic!

i play ling in tekken.
Bro I wish. We couldn't find any. Instead we took this hagigat shit. It's like speed except quasi-legal here. We basically only slept about 8 nights out of the 2 week passover holiday, kept hitting up different clubs and shit. Hella fun. Also found some dudes that play fighters but haven't linked up with them yet.
So wait.

If I go to Israel, it' s like a rave 24/7?

I'm in.

I'll bring the pacifiers and glow sticks.

Oh yeah, playing dat Mahvel 3. It's pretty decent. Might just dump it off to Amazon though since the netcode is apparently junk, but I HAVEN'T TRIED IT YET THANKS PSN!!

Dont you dare! We need Cagfight MAHVEL night!!! I havent played the game in weeks but i'd love to get some games going when psn is up.
Same here dude. The only time I had a decent connection was when I played against 2 different CAG people (one which was located like 30 miles away, and the other relatively close by as well)
Now, I see what you mean by that.

A friend of mine that lives down the road (maybe a 5 minute drive if that) decided to test the netcode for MK9 tonight. The connection overall was smoother (less juddering in game as well as in the Character Select), but wow was there input lag. Yikes!

I know NeatherRealm addressed the issue but I hope they get on top of that input lag.

Did you actually read what they said? It sounded like they were only acknowledging matchmaking issues and disconnections.

Yea, they said they were addressing problems with King Of The Hill and 1v1 Matches. The same article said they added at Tech Forum to their site. Hopefully there was be an overwhelming response of Laggy Matches/Input Lag.

Usually I wouldn't care about online play, but I have a handful of friends that play MK9 and are being hermits lately and not coming out to Weekly Sessions/Practice/Hangouts

Word I'll check in there later.

Also, Option, I remember you posting awhile back about a replacing the spring in a TE to make it more resistant. Do you have any more info on that? Thanks, as I would love to do that to mine.

I need to do the same mod. Option has a seimitsu stick in his TE.

I tried two sanwa springs, but it has too much resistant.

/edit: Jimbo, where is Tekken 6? Markman is going to be disappointed you didn't enter :D

And I have only played it for 30 minutes despite owning the game. Damn you Namco for releasing the game so late. I'll be on the ball this time for TTT2.

I haven't even really figured out how to play MvC3 properly, let alone wondering if MK is even worth it to me.

Now there are too many fighting games out, this sucks (in a good way).

Where did you find new springs for a TE? I couldn't find any on Lizard Lick.

This is it, but they say they are out of stock. I have three Sanwa JLF sticks, but one is fucked up, so that is why I have an extra spring.

Just use the the seimitsu spring instead.

Also we need to play this at EVO.

Have you guys never played loser of the hill in a fighting game?

Rules are simple:
-loser keeps playing until they win
-each loss nets one drink
-after 5 losses the loser is require to take a shot and is called the "loser" until someone else losses 5 times in a row. Two new players now play after someone loses 5 times in a row.
-when you are the loser, each win you get the person you beat takes a shot rather than a drink. Don't lose to the loser!

Side bets with booze or money is highly encouraged. This works very well with a group of 6-10 people. Less people means you drink faster.

I wish.. it was just cuz we had an apartment/car during the big holiday. Now I'm back to going to work and taking Hebrew classes, sucks. Still went out last weekend though. It's strange, I meet the same people at almost every club I go to. Met one guy 3 weeks in a row and 2 girls 2 weeks in a row.

Whoever killed Bin Laden must feel like the fucking MAN right now. Gotta be a hell of a story.. btw, you guys should watch Big Bang Theory. Amazing.

I like how in the off topic forums, there's people who are like "who cares about bin laden being dead, we shouldn't celebrate, etc." Typical, I suppose.

i bet these are the same people who will pull their stock out of apple if steve jobs retires

Totally typical. I am (and most of the people in here are, I'm sure) a smart enough guy to understand this doesn't change everything. The "war on terror" isn't over and the economy isn't going to suddenly turn around, but it is still a significant victory for our country. An enemy that eluded us has been brought to justice.

I think, if absolutely nothing else, it is great that families of the victims of 9/11 now have a bit of closure on their loved one's lost. It has to be good for troop morale, as well.

Very true. If just the death of Bin Laden gives those countless families and friends even just a bit of closure or just even a little shine to brighten their day/hopes, who are we to take that away from them?

I don't think anyone in this right mind is thinking that because of this news, world peace finally has descended upon the world. I think it's pretty naive for those who think they are too cool or too smart to celebrate a terrorist's death, to assume everyone who is happy with this news is assuming just that.

Also not to generalize everyone, but it's for those to be judgmental when they are at home, relatively safe with no loved ones overseas. My cousin is a Colonel in the Marines and has been to Afghanistan for a total for 3.5-4 years since 9/11. He has a Wife at home and 3 kids. You damn right I was celebrating right along with him when he called me this morning (he's currently living in WV)

Anyone who has lost a loved one through a tragic accident knows forgiveness is hard to do. A close friend of mine years ago was ran down by a Trucker (who was high on Meth) on New Years with his girlfriend on the freeway. Why? The trucker thought he was chasing down a gremlin. He barely got any time in jail in relation to his crime. You damn right the whole courtroom wanted to kill him that day. Does that make me any less of a person? No, it makes me human. Not reacting, doesn't make you any better either.

On a FG note, MK9 sure does have a lot of Rage Quitters

I'm not even taking the game THAT seriously haha
I like how in the off topic forums, there's people who are like "who cares about bin laden being dead, we shouldn't celebrate, etc." Typical, I suppose.
Nuthin' much to say about fighting games but yeah, I'll never understand the internet.

I'm a Marine living in Virginia, finishing various schools before I can get to Afghanistan/Libya/wherever but yeah, I'm pretty happy that he's dead. I might've preferred capture but really, the dude was a fucker and now the world is a better place.

Will there be other terrorist leaders? Of course. Will fighting end tomorrow in Afghanistan (or anywhere?) Nope.

Whatever. Mushihimesama Futari is a riot. My neighbors got headaches watching me play it.

No but it is odd that I started my military "life" back in 2002 and now, for the first time, our big bad guy is dead. I don't try and straight up hate things, people, etc. but I couldn't tell you who the next guy to worry about in Afghanistan is.

therefore when exam season rolls around, a lot of restaurants serve katsudon.

i don't want to play mortal kombat 9 ever
i feel like they're just piggybacking off of sf4's success so they want to renew the rivalry and sold a lot. mk had 4-8 that all sucked, now all of a sudden 9 is good now? what a bunch of crap
