Yup missed all of tekken and preppy had to call my phone like 9 times. I showed up with a wicked hangover in losers bracket for marvel and lost my first game to and ironman/psylocke player. He was hella buff though.

I meant to ask in the test cast but I got sidetracked:

Where does the use of the word 'technology' in fighting games come from? I hadnt heard it until recently. Did that start with a specific game, or was it a regional thing or what

First I've heard it is pre-patch MvC3, in reference to strategies for beating Sentinel

probably back when card counting actually worked.

Going to a mario kart tournament battle mode tournament today. I will have some nice footage of a level of play never before recorded to the interwebs.

friday nite sucka!!

anyway today I went to a pizza place for lunch,

and it reminded me of back in the days when Pizza places were the spot to get chicken!!!!

like these days u cant even get that there anymore!!

there are still a few that exist tho... like Mom n Pop Pizza places that have like Louisiana chicken or broasted chicken, but u really gotta search for them.

and even then, it's not like it's the chicken that's bringing all the business like it would in the old days...

Pizza Hut has Wingstreet Wings.

And Domino's has Tate's Chicken.

Apparently you just don't know where to look. :nottalking:

A McDonalds near me serves pizza. Now that's fucked up.

that's like saying taco bell serves real meat.

yo when I talk about chicken, Im talkin about CHICKEN ok?!?!

not that weak shyt that Paco's all over.

T Bell does serve real meat. As for beef, that's questionable. But meat? Sure, I'll give them that.

When I'm talkin' bout chicken, I'm talkin' bout chicken I make myself.

Or Popeye's when I don't want to fuss around with shit.

Or a local place that makes sweet ass broasted chicken.

fuck KFC, shit's weaksauce.

The Mana Knight.

Who is going to EVO?

Oh, theres an evo thread... don't mind me just passing through.

Serious question that I'll never understand.

How come people get super butthurt at Capcom when new versions of their games are announced? I was reading some comments recently about Ultimate MvC3 lately, and shit like "Capcom is spitting in the face" of their fans and all kinds of similar shit was written. People are really, really salty.

It just seems weird, I for one am really really happy whenever shit like this gets announced, because it means I'm going to be getting more of a product that I love. I've played a bunch of MvC3 and will continue to do so, and anxiously await the panel at SDCC about the future of the game.

Not to mention that if Capcom would've just released characters as seperate DLC, it would've ended up costing much more for an inferior product.

Perfect performance. 6 round tournament, not a single balloon was taken. 2 ten second rounds. Everyone was completely FREE. Footage to come, but altogether probably isnt more than 4 minutes. Got a trophy, $50, a t-shirt and a RC car.
Does the trophy look good?
Its actually the shittiest trophy I ever seen. Looks like they it came out of one of those quarter plastic egg dispensers

The people complaining probably didn't buy the first one anyway. At least we're getting a new version, so yay!

At least you got $50, and that's all that matters.

Maybe this would be a better question for the MK thread, but is it just me, or does MK9 seem easier to play than some other fighters. I never really played them hardcore up to this point, but I'm enjoying my time and not getting my ass handed to me like what seems to happen with a fair bit of 2D fighters.
I was just looking at my youtube account and saw a 2 year old friend request from rero. lol woops
Shows you I'm ahead of the game... Or something >_

This is actually a good place to ask since we all play different fighters. What other fighters are you referring to exactly? And in what way do you find it easier to play?

It was obviously a 50cc tournament.

I honestly think it's because it was announced so quickly. MVC3 just came out in February and now we are looking at a new version being announced maybe 5 months later.

Also I think it's also because the game didn't feel complete even after the DLC and some patches. 2 DLC characters (with 2 spots being vacant on the Select Screen), ridiculously unbalanced, weird nerf hammer to a character that doesn't even dominate tournaments currently, low number of stages, wonky online as well as a low number of features.

With a lot of other fighting games this generation, you have either a lot of support through DLC/Patches or the companies just leaving the game as it is until X amount of time later. Even Super Street Fighter 4 went 1 year before announcing a new version (AE). The same with Vanilla.
