"i like any fighting game where dudes have huge bulges that i can dream im using is my joystick and than it can sheryuken all over my face!"

Although I didn't write this, I thought it was funny enough to keep around.

The animation quality in that game looks so bootleg though... at least, that's what I noticed when I last watched a vid of it (which was a while ago.)

Anyway, I'm more interested in Battle Fantasia, but yeah, it'd be nice to see a console release for either at this point.

Miguel's Character Profile

Despising the thought of having his life in the hands of others, Miguel sought to live his life on his own. Even after being raised strictly by his parents, the blood thirsty personality of Miguel found him starting fights with the people around him and caused him to be seen as a rebel amongst everyone he knew. After countless arguments and disagreements with his parents he decided to leave his home when he was just 15. He found sanctuary at a bar he visited often. Miguel trusted no one, except his kind-hearted sister, who he cared about more than anyone. She visited him secretly without their parents knowing about it. Some time later, Miguel’s sister told him that she was to be married. Miguel was outraged and seriously thought of killing her fiance. On the day of the wedding Miguel watched the ceremony from outside of the church, not wanting to be seen by his parents. Under the clear blue sky, almost as if it was a blessing, a line of planes passed by the wedding… when just a moment later, a violent, burning inferno covered the scene. Miguel was blown away, although he was in great pain and almost collapsed, he tried desperately to look for his sister inside the remains of the church. When he finally found her, Miguel saw that his sister was dead and her wedding dress soaked in her blood. Miguel’s screams echoed throughout the ruins. Some time after Miguel discovered that the air raid was ordered by the Mishima Zaibatsu, and with furious hatred he vowed to get revenge on the Zaibatsu’s leader, Jin Kazama.
They mentioned it was a form of self taught street fighting lol..
i.e. he just walks up and shanks people.

Migeul sounds sweet... plus Jin is becoming the cool asshole he was destined to be... finally shedding the pretty emo boy thing.

Plus, a half insane Miguel works in perfectly to the Tekke universe.
I really really hope that Arcana Heart get some sort of console release. I don't see any arcade in my area getting a setup for this. Lucky foos out in NY, I believe, have an arcade that has this game.

*random match vid*
http://youtube.com/watch?v=n8uwoVKJNcY
I think we got dat game in socal too, at AI.

at least I read that on a tournament announcement, saying sum shyt like

"come to our 3S tourament, we also got Melty Blood and Arcana Hearts for your enjoyment!"

I aint been there in ages.... UGH!!!

I'm glad they are slowly adding new characters to Tekken. I agreed with Jim when he mentioned the series needs an overhaul like 3S.

I'm not very smart with video game hardware, but could the PS2 run games like Arcana Heart or Battle Fantasia? Maybe both?

I would hate to have to resort to buying something like Battle Fantasia on the 360. I've gotten to the point that PS2 'cade stick support has become a huge priority for me.

Not sure if the PS2 could do BF due to the uber sprit-age. We'd probably see it on the PS3. Hopefully not the 360 or the Wii since it'd be nice if we had it playable.

In a way, Tekken 5 was the light at the end of the tunnel basically perfecting everything good about the previous tekkens... if you do think about it, Tekken 6 is really bending the way its played with custom item moves. You'll have to pick and choose wheather you have certain moves or not.

Something like that'll be very tricky to balance well... the last thing you'd want would be to have situations where one character is useless against another character with a given move set. However, if they pull it off, then yeah, Tekken 6 could have a fuckload of replay value thanks to that aspect alone.

Definitely right about that. After playing T5DR a whole lot in the arcade, I do have to say it has surpassed T2 as my favorite game in the series. I'm no Tekken expert, but everything just feels right in that game.

As long as the custom items balances don't get thrown off drastically, I'm all for it. Hopefully, as Chac said, this will add a boat load of replay value to the game. Collecting items and ranking up stops getting fun after so long, but now the items will actually have a purpose.

I'm hoping I can still throw people mid-air with Marduk and stomp on em'. Also I hope they keep Bryan Fury's rad ski mask.

The exciting part about ranking up is how it works in the arcades... you get two ppl to battle it out for a promotion/demotion, it gets exciting... I wish it was more organized the way ppl do it here... in Korea and Japan they have rank up battles all the time, they call them Death Matches in Korea if I remember right...

Over here in the US, the highest rank is Legend I think..... wheras in Japan and Korea there are Tekken Lords and Dark Lords all over the place...

I'm honestly thinking that T6 is gonna be bad. What we've seen so far wasn't very impressive and I'm not down with the idea of customizing moves at all. Either they're gonna be completely useless or totally broken. Mark my words ;)

OT: Pirates of the Caribbean 3 sucked ass.

I say it's too early to tell... most info we have about the game is barely about gameplay, modes, and anything outside of story or looks other than the custom item moves. Give it time.

The last magazine scans with Jin in it proved that currently the game is already better than what was seen in the trailer.

I'm excited to see what the graphics will look like running in 60fps and in full HD... I'm not happy with Namco not making GOOD quality videos of the game yet...

Producers/Developers stated that the game will be based on the T5DR engine... so if anything I have faith in that... the game had good balance for the most part... and seeing as how Namco actually revises their arcade games now based on the community feedback, I'm hoping the changes reflect on console versions too(via patches or some shit)...

JIN KAZAMA'S CHARACTER PROFILE
Upon defeating his great grandfather, Jinpachi Mishima, Jin became the new head of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Jin brought chaos and suffering across the globe using the Tekken Force to make his wishes come true, getting rid of each county’s military power and taking control of their energy resources, even their space colonies. After all that was done, the Mishima Zaibatsu declared itself an independent nation and declared war against all who opposed them. It seemed that the Mishima Zaibatsu would conquer the entire world until another power finally opposed Jin’s organization. G-Corporation, led by Kazuya Mishima, puts a bounty on Jin Kazama’s head. Almost as if Jin was expecting that G-Corporation would get involved, he immediately announced “The King of the Iron Fist Tournament 6.”
I noticed a very slight difference between guilty gear X at 720p. nothing special.

LOL, I'm liking Jin wearing a Kazuya purple tux style suit....

Same scans up on SDT site too...

Having someone translate the whole thing... the two new stages unveiled are nice too... the snowy stage and the train station stage....
Hay guys I got a PS3.

Additionally, fuck the hugebox and the tiny piece of shit.
Nice! I'm jealous. What games did you get with it?

IMO, those 1080p CVS2 screenshots look similiar to CVS2 running on PS2 component cables. I can't really tell the difference.

I only got Virtua Fighter 5 right now since it was $40 thanks to the Fry's ad. Probably picking up Ridge Racer 7 this weekend if I can get a deal on it because this guy who knows shit about games (he's not on CAG, surprise surprise) said it's the best one since R4 and that unlike RR6, it has good presentation, music, etc... so I need it. Not picking up Resistance because I didn't like what I played of it at my friend's house and not buying Motorstorm because it's trash. Next game I'll get will be Ninja Gaiden Sigma unless I missed some hidden gem (and I don't think I did.)

My 360's disconnected now, so hopefully I'll get that ish replaced at Best Buy tonight so I'll be on Live later as well. Without the power brick noise. If this brick makes noise, I'm literally going to smash the 360.
for serious, or for... whatever it is when you're being a tard?
the 2nd one

Figured. It looks so cool, but the first was awful so I'm not so sure I'd even want to give this one a chance.

So I won't. I'm not accepting or racially fair, so fuck Genji.

My friend was working at Best Buy so I managed to swap out my 360 without any issue at all. This one had newer games on the box than the old one (stuff like GOW and Forza 2), so I'm hoping this will have one of them newfangled DVD drives that doesn't sound like the Devil shouting at you.

NO!!!!

MetalSLUG.jpg

here's hoping this dosn't happen to KoF DS... and I am still waiting on my replacement for Cardfighters... it's so good, but I can't play it till it's patched.

Man, my new 360... I actually don't hate. I mean, yeah, I still have very little to play on it, but getting the box with new games on the back was the right idea because it's much much much quieter. As in, it sounds like a Dreamcast that's idling now rather than a fucking 747. And I can live with that with no complaints whatsoever. And that damn power brick works now, so yeah. It was a good day.

I still dunno if I'm gonna get FF Special or not. I might because it's an online fighter, but I might not because I know it's not all that good... and I have Garou MOTW and Real Bout Collection, so there is literally no benefit for me here.

In case anyone's wondering Tobal 2 runs perfectly on 3.40 OE-A, aside from the slowdown that's naturally in the game.

SFEX2 does not :(
So how you likin' the game, Possum? Worth paying money for?
it's a lot like the first one but with some new juggles and fireballs..but I've only played about 5 minutes. Quest mode is a beast in this one, from what I understand.

I paid for it once and thought there was too much slowdown, but it doesn't seem too bad on the PSP and the problem could've been on my end (on my Xbox and old PS1....) i can give ya a better review later.
