GGs tonight Arikado. Way too many beers at dinner to concentrate for me, lol. Although you're a better player than me anyway, I should've at least won a couple haha.
That sorta segways to my next point (but not really). How many of you guys have lost your passion? I am completely a casual player these days. I've kinda resigned myself to the fact that I will never win another tournament. I frankly don't care that much to learn all the one-frame links. I'm pretty satisfied learning all the moves, the quirks of all characters and some basic combos. It's a total change from how I used to be. I guess it is part of getting older.
I've had only a few periods of being heavily invested in fighting games as a hobby.. when I was a kid I played the SF, MK, and VF all the time.. then Tekken 3, then Tekken 5. From the time Tekken 5 came out until the time SF2 Remix came out.... I only played a couple games of Tekken 5, CvS2, or maybe VF4: Evo from time to time. Then from the time SF2 Remix came out until the time SF4 came out.. I was super hyped in anticipation for SF4. At first I was skeptical, but as I started checking out the preview vids, I felt like I was 8 again. Lately, I haven't been playing fighters much, but I think Super Street Fighter 4 is my most anticipated game of all time. I've never marked out for a game as much as this one.. I think once the game comes out, you'll probably get back into it again. :]
