. . .The fuck is a taco truck burrito? Sounds like I want one.
Taco Truck Buritto is a buritto as big as YOUR FIST. Costs only FOUR DOLLARS. We live near a slaughter house so cheap meat.

Gamefly here. I expect it to be mindless fun.

They managed to annoy most of the world. That's something. But I like their style of fighting games.
Yeah I like their style as well, I just want the games to match :(
Though a lot of things go bad for them, I have to commend them. They do their games their own way. They're like a small group of rabid otaku that give their games TLC even if people hate them. Their animation is second to none.
Yeah, basically SNK's games are doujin games with a higher budget and higher price tag. ^_^
And they have more new ideas then capcom. Not saying they're better, but they tend to at least try something different with each KOF. Though with how 13 is being raved about, they hit PAYDIRT this time around. Everyone at the event loved 13. Though the sad thing is to appease arcade operators they are going to keep 13 in the arcades longer.

Ideas don't mean shit if they're executed poorly. I like the KOF series, but let's be honest... a good chunk of them suck. I like the fact that they're making XIII "feel" more like a KOF game with teams, team themes and bringing the story back. At least the game won't feel barebones this time around.

Also, keep in mind, people were raving about XII when it was first revealed. I'm not falling for that shit again. One good thing about KOFXIII staying in arcades longer is we'll be able to see if the game is worth a damn gameplay-wise. I'm not getting my hopes up. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised, but I think the days of 98/2002/XI are gone.

I have to disagree. If it wasn't for ideas, we'd still be playing 94 style with "dodge". I rather have a somewhat new idea that's worked on rather then staying with the same ideas. At least SNK tries new ideas and refines them. And you're right on KOF being hit or miss. KOF is either REALLY GOOD or it's REALLY BAD. 94 sucked ass. 95 kicked ass. 96 had great music and backgrounds but broken gameplay, 97 fixed some of it. 98 perfected it. 99 had broken strikers. 00 fixed strikers but broke other things. 01 had toebaggin level art and introduced strikers/ratio system. 2k2 was back to 98 except with more refinements. 2003 sucked with its implimentation of tag. XI was great with its implimentation of tag. XII was decent, but heavily flawed. XIII is moving back to the 2k2 formula which they nailed down already.

People were raving about KOF 12's graphics. The gameplay was criticized from the BEGINNING. I like it, but even I won't deny that it's missing a lot. It's still fun though. KOF being in the arcades longer is to avoid the 12 mishap where why bother playing it in the arcades if it's coming home in 1-3 months? The same thing happened with Tekken 5 remember? The same day launch where it was on the arcades AND consoles at the same time? Shit nearly broken it and Namco had to keep Tekken 6 arcade exclusive for over a year to fix the blood from that one. And keep in mind that King of Fighters XIII has the game systems which are essentially refined King of Fighters 2002 UM. So this one is going to end up rather nice.

I want to play it even though I know it won't be that great. Sadly I'll end of buying it when its cheap since I own every fighter that came out this gen. I'm sort of addicted. ;)
...... Anyone getting SamSho Sen? :whee:
Nope. I wish they hadn't gone 3D, but I guess that's what games just have to do nowdays to get the young'uns attention. :(

Edit: it doesn't help that I think the textures in that game look like @$$. Hanzo's moves are still cool, though...

I would but unfortunately I'm not getting it. Maybe when it drops in price.

GGs tonight Arikado. Way too many beers at dinner to concentrate for me, lol. Although you're a better player than me anyway, I should've at least won a couple haha.

That sorta segways to my next point (but not really). How many of you guys have lost your passion? I am completely a casual player these days. I've kinda resigned myself to the fact that I will never win another tournament. I frankly don't care that much to learn all the one-frame links. I'm pretty satisfied learning all the moves, the quirks of all characters and some basic combos. It's a total change from how I used to be. I guess it is part of getting older.

Oh darn. Yeah it will probably drop I'll see you when it drops in price.

I actually saw advertising on Gamestop.com (had that surrounding border on the main site) and a few other sites yesterday. So at least they are trying lol.

I'm not expecting much but outside of Super SF it's all I plan on getting this year, unless KOF releases cheap and/or real good bonuses.

GGs, I've been playing a bunch in anticipation of Super. I think I remember you kicking my ass a few times back in HDR, so don't worry about it.

I sometimes go through little breaks similar to what you're taking about, but I'm always interested in learning how a character works inside and out. I'll usually play a handful of characters, but I generally focus on only one or two as my mains (in my case, Zangief in SFIV). Super has me excited to learn new stuff again, maybe it will get your fire going again too.

:shock:WHAT THE fuck!? I MEAN SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE fuck!? How is that even possible!? I've never traded anything with anybody!!!

HOLY SHIT! I'm the star of CAG's April Fools prank!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

EDIT: I checked out the OT and saw that everybody is having their name show up. Yes, I shit all over myself for a minute or two. fucking awesome April Fools joke! Mega props Cheapy and crew.:lol::lol:

Yeah, maybe you are right. Either way it's not like I don't enjoy playing the games anymore. It's just different. Maybe losing my passion isn't a good way of putting it, but I just don't care as much as I used to. Still looking forward to Super and getting some games in.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I never really go to the arcade anymore.

add me on starcraft 2!

Sam Shodown doesn't lag online! However there are some backgrounds where the framerate looks off the first three seconds. The only bad news? No ones playing the damn game. So far I'm enjoying the game outside of the lack of community and the fact I'm 0-6.

http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2010/apr/02/ssf4-player-impressions-wondercon-event/

• Seth and the devs know about the newly discovered unblockables. How and why is still unknown and they're still trying to figure out the case on why it happens.

• As of now, unblockables are not removed and will not be patched unless they discover some truly unblockable setups, seeing as there is an explanation on how to actually block these.

Guess Guile, Sakura and Sagat not being able to escape Seth's doesn't count as completely unblockable, uh?

On a lighter note, good news for option, kara-kara!

Wow....FML....

My Supervisor called in sick, so I have to fill in his closing shift. Haven't had a day off since Monday and I won't have one until next Friday. 10 days straight of work.

Missing all 3 days of Wondercon, while all my friends are attending playing FREE PLAY SSFIV @ the Capcom Booth.

i feel like this month is lame duck month for SF4 where there isn't much to do but wait for super, since there's probably all new stuff for everyone.

blah.

i also still like tekken better but i'm too lazy to find people to play with.

I've had only a few periods of being heavily invested in fighting games as a hobby.. when I was a kid I played the SF, MK, and VF all the time.. then Tekken 3, then Tekken 5. From the time Tekken 5 came out until the time SF2 Remix came out.... I only played a couple games of Tekken 5, CvS2, or maybe VF4: Evo from time to time. Then from the time SF2 Remix came out until the time SF4 came out.. I was super hyped in anticipation for SF4. At first I was skeptical, but as I started checking out the preview vids, I felt like I was 8 again. Lately, I haven't been playing fighters much, but I think Super Street Fighter 4 is my most anticipated game of all time. I've never marked out for a game as much as this one.. I think once the game comes out, you'll probably get back into it again. :]
