Depending on the dates this is taking place I'll team up with you Phrosty, just kinda hope it is a weekend thing or I doubt I could make it.
 
Yea.. same here.. I think the girl running it said 3 of the days were weekdays and 1 was a Sunday. I work till midnight on weekdays so I probably won't even be able to play. Unless we can do like.. midnight Pacific time.
 
I bet my account won't be active by the time I can sign up for the tournament. :(

EDIT: 360 onry. Sigh of relief.

16 teams
3 players per team
One main character, one optional character
No duplicates of characters on teams
GAF players only
For bracket display, you will have to chose an avatar which I will limit to the same size as GAF standards.
Teams will be randomize.

16 teams prelims- May 14th - 19th
8 teams semis- May 21th - 23rd
4 teams finals- May 25th - 27th
2 teams grand finals- May 29th

All games will be first team to win two sets except for the grand finals which will be first team to win three sets.

Any missing players will count as a lost on the team, remaining players will have to play against a player lineup chosen by the other team.

I went 3-2 in my first tournament. Lost to Kryojenix, that guy who's auditioning for Survivor, and DJ vest, who counterpicked me. Screw that DJ Vest guy.

I assume that Guile video is for regular SFIV....?
 
well, I play Abel so if he picked his main, Blanka, it would've been bad for him. Yeah, I think he only decided to counterpick when we were button checking cause he picked random and i directly went to my character. honestly, I don't really care, I'm just saying that as an excuse as to why I lost. lol I'm terrible against Rufus. =/
 
what system do you play on? I'm guessing 360...

my rufus actually used to be better on the 360 as opposed to my rufus now on the PS3. I went from a pad to a fight stick (TE). If I had a dollar for every time I fudged one of his combos....damn. I never did that shit on the pad.
 
I play Abel too, and I hate Rufus. Dive kick all day. It's hard as hell to space Rufus out.

Lately, I've been playing as Dhalsim, and it really doesn't help against the Rufus match up either. Though Sim has some solid anti airs, which I hear at least one of them is getting buffed.
 
fuck yeah, my Pugs today in my graduation show tonight melted hearts and stole some smiles.

Graduation show over. I can finally rest and do shit. Next up: Video games and makin' new music videos and iphone games ^_^

Really hard matchup, but cr.hp AA does wonders against Rufus.

Also the Abel option select for Rufus is one worth learning. If they go for Dive Kick xx Throw, you get Tech, if they Dive Kick, they'll eat st.fp. Thought I saw it up on another SRK members blog.

14 days until Super! Days go by fast when you aren't really thinking about it.

My PS3 Slimz should be at my house later. Then I'm hopping back on the T6 train and playing some HDR until SSFIV comes out. Then I may attempt to learn a character or two in that.
 
So...does everyone expect them to announce Marvel vs Capcom 3 or would they call it something else? Disney vs Capcom makes more sense to me since they own Marvel now.
 
I'm sure they want the name recognition that Marvel vs. Capcom brings. It'll have a subtitle but the main name will be MvC3.
 
I love how wii fanatics worldwide are screaming "OMG THEY CAN RE-USE THE TVC ENGINE AND MAKE IT WII EXCLUSIVE!" for MVC3. The fighting game scene doesn't and never will exist on a nintendo console due to poor excuse for hardware and online infrastructure.

But they don't care, they just want HD owners to suffer like they've suffered the past 2 gens. Pretty sad.
