Overstock has Final Fantasy Fantasy Advent Children Complete for 8.52 with 2.95 shipping and a few others. Not sure when it ends. Great deal for FF:AC, never seen it less than 18 bucks anywhere.

Courtesy of blu-ray.com. Posted this over at dvdtalk too.

Final Fantasy: Advent Children - 8.52
Rudy - 4.97
History of Violence - 6.28
Big Fish - 7.07
Space Cowboys - 7.50
Mystic River - 7.67
Unforgiven - 7.72
The taking of Pelham 1 2 3 - 9.79
The Patriot - 9.77

There are probably more at decent prices, but those are the under 10 ones.. I got FF:AC only, but posted the rest as you guys might be interested in them.

Oh, and the total shipping will be 4.95 no matter how many you get from what I can see.

Oh, and if you go to bing.com and search overstock, it is at 15 percent. Even better deal.

Figured since there was a post on the page for 17.99 that got good reception that this should get it's own thread since it is about half that before shipping.
Well, I guess they can't be bothered to send out shipping notifications, since mine did ship yesterday and I had to check my account to get a tracking number. Shipped via UPS-IM, which I've never heard of so this will be interesting.
got email today... mine shipped yesterday as well...

gonna assume that the UPS-IM is the delivery type where the post office handles the ends and ups picks up and drops off at the post office.
Damnit. Sold out.

The page doesn't say it's new or used. Please do post what you recieve ;)
I’m positive they are new.

I just got my shipment notification today. It is being shipped from San Leandro, CA for those that care. Media mail wont be so bad I guess...

ahh.. So they have multiple shipping facilities. Good to know.

I would have bit on this yesterday (it was in stock when I looked)... but I already own it on DVD and the movie is just okay.

It's "just okay" because you own a version that is incomplete and (to a point) unintelligible... the Blu-ray, aside from looking and sounding leagues better, contains the full 2 hour cut of the movie that is far, far superior to the 90 minute version that was originally released on DVD.

Your loss, though.

And if 90 minutes did not impress me, what makes oyu think another 30 will blow my mind? Highly doubtful. I thought the movie was okay, but not enough to double dip (even though I like my stuff in HD).

With that said though... how is the new dirt rendering engine in the movie? That has me the most interested, haha.

Think of a movie that you like... the pacing is great, the characters are all well utilized, and everything makes sense.

Now, cut out 25% of the movie.

Does it still make sense? Does it still have the same arc/pacing? Do you like it as much?

Probably not.

For me, I imagine it would be a little bit like taking The Fifth Element (a movie I adore) and cutting most of Ruby Rod's character out of the movie, nearly all of the battle on Floston Paradise, assuming that people will figure out Zorg's motivations without all of his interactions with "Mr. Shadow" (so cutting all of that out), and trimming down the cab scenes.

You could still call it "The Fifth Element," but I'm sure I wouldn't enjoy it nearly as much. The same can be said about FF7:AC vs. FF7:ACC.

So what you're saying is it's like the original movie version of Dune compared to the miniseries that Sci-Fi did.

Mine came today, brand new and mint condition despite having shipped in a loose, plastic sleeve mailer. Maybe its just been a long time since I saw FF, but I really didn't notice any new scenes. Wasn't the DVD version trimmed down or something?

The DVD wasn't trimmed; the Blu-ray was expanded (this is talked about at length here if you'd bother to RTFT).

That said, the additions are primarily in the second half of the film, specifically to make more sense of the action scenes that previously went unresolved, i.e. WTF happened to the Turks?
Kung Fu Hustle (Blu-ray Disc) $11.87
A History of Violence (Blu-ray Disc) $6.28
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (Blu-ray Disc) $8.52
Leon the Professional (Blu-ray Disc) $11.71

Subtotal: $38.38
Shipping: $2.95
Total: $41.33

works good for me. $2.95 shipped for all. and no tax. :bouncy:

Ordered Rudy and FF: AC. Rudy has shipped but FF is still processing. Anyone else experiencing this?
Yeah, I ordered both of those on the 13th. Rudy shipped and I just received it today but FF is still processing.

Which kind of sucks because when I placed the order, it said I got the last copy of FF. It said there was one remaining when I placed the order and it said sold out after the order was completed. But oh well, I guess they screwed it up somehow and we're all waiting on new copies of FF to come in.
Got the rest of my movies. WTF, it looks like they were reshrunk wrapped, some of them. Is this normal?
You got used Blus... *or* Blus that were part of multi-packs and were broken up to be sold individually.

The former would be so wrong. It was not indicated anywhere these were used. I think a bishin' with Overstock is in order.

4 out of my 5 Blu-rays came in new. For some reason my FF Advent Children shipped separately and while the wrapping is similar to what you find on any other discs, it didn't have the seal on top of the disc. Did everyone else receive theirs this way too?

Sorry for the bump, but for those of you that got the FF:AC Blu Ray, did your copies come with an insert page/booklet? I know a lot of Blu Rays and DVDs now days don't come with inserts, but it seems odd that FF:AC wouldn't have an insert of some kind...
