Final Fantasy XIII Special Edition Xbox 360 Console Bundle - w/ avatar DLC

Ah ok the faceplate doesn't come with it. At select retailers though... meaning I have to keep my eyes peeled. I will not miss out on that damn faceplate.

Here's what the Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 faceplate looks like. Created by Square Enix designer Tetsuya Nomura, these plates are super limited in number. The are "only available promotionally in fixed quantities across select retailers in Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand." So you'll have to fight for one, I guess.

I just have to have that faceplate. I hope it's as "easy" as pre-ordering it somewhere that guarantees you getting one.

I agree with bvharris' post. If the 360 gets it exclusively cuz they shelled out the $$$ then I am going to be really pissed.

Especially if they use that exclusivity to just release a console bundle and a faceplate and not a true CE of the game.
 
If all I see is a console bundle. I'm going to be disappointed.
All I wanted was a CE. Screw a console bundle.

Chillax, they just announced it. If you want a faceplate and are committed to getting it (which you clearly are) than I'm sure you'll be able to get one.
 
Lol ... just announced today ... the Gamestop exclusive FF XIII PS3 Collector's Edition - includes the standard game .... and an exclusive Xbox 360 faceplate ;)

Read the thread next time. The speculation surrounding of where/when these will be available is pretty much what the discussion has evolved into. While everyone is wondering about the details of the faceplate's release, do you actually think it has become sold out, especially in the last hour that the bundle/faceplate has been announced?

I know it is all hope at this point but Kotaku does make a good point with this:

"Also notable, the listing for the system says it comes with a Standard Edition copy of the game. Why stress standard edition, if there is no limited edition? Interesting, isn't it?"

It does dash the hopes that a Lightning PS3 will make it stateside. That is no big deal to me as I am going to Japan this spring and plan on bringing one back with me.
 
Microsoft stresses that the Xbox 360 is the only console outside of Japan bundled with Square Enix's latest, which is a pretty big deal for Microsoft. Especially when you consider the console isn't even getting the game in Japan.

Just watched a video of Major Nelson on Xbox Live talking about the bundle and the faceplate. He mentions that you can get the faceplate with a pre-order of the bundle. A picture of the game was also shown when he mentioned it and it said Special Edition on the upper right corner.

Just was about to post that. Pre-order bundle. Get faceplate. Looks like I'm about to pre-order the bundle. Get my faceplate, and then return it.

Play-Asia sells imported stuff. I've bought quite a few games from them and they all work fine. I'm not totally sure that a Japanese Hard-Drive will work on an American 360, but it should. It's just an accessory.
(my Japanese DS3 that I bought from Play-Asia works on my American PS3. I also bought a purple GBA Player from them for my American GameCube, but that was region locked and required a boot disk... So I dunno.)

the legit question was kinda stupid on my part as i have used play asia several times and they are great, my fear is the microsoft ban hammer.
 
I give MS credit for trying to be creative with the 250gb game consoles now but this one blows by comparison to the MW2 one.

The DLC better make up for it.
 
I think the sweet taste of the Final Fantasy kool aid is too much to resist. I may have to spring for one after all. If I can get that faceplate, I'll probably get this. THen I'll have to sell my current Elite.
 
What? Just for a Vanilla Xbox 360 you would shell another $400?

Me too. It will be my 3rd Elite. I have sold my Halo SE :360: from the looks of it to help fund it as well. I have to have that faceplate and the special HD. :D

Plus now this pretty number (the one on the left that is) can actually be placed on a console and not look odd. (I have the MW2 Elite (black), RE5 Elite (red), and the Green Halo one so white faceplates look rather odd on any of them)

Just got back from Gamestop. The SE FFXIII Bundle has a SKU in their system. I pre-ordered one for $50 and asked if I would get the faceplate for pre-ordering. They said that I would get the faceplate the day the console is released.

Awesome. Going to go and get that taken care of today. Need to cancel my CE Guide, Battlefield BC 2, and Red Dead anyways since those are all going to be from amazon cuz of the cheaper price and videogame credit :D

I think you are right because looking at my cancels for:

Red Dead it is 200689

Battlefield BC 2 is 200634
