Yeah, I got the mini-guide as well. Didn't know they were free, though. Thought you had to pre-order game, so I did...:roll:

Finally, the press release reveals just how you can get your hands on one of the limited edition, promotional FFXIII faceplates. The faceplates will be offered as a bonus for anyone who pre-orders the 250GB Special Edition console. Major Nelson also revealed on Xbox Live that the faceplate will be a pre-order bonus for the North American Special Edition console as well. So, if you really want that faceplate, you'd better be ready to plop down 400 bones for it.

Yeah I just want the faceplate....although I wish that someone would confirm that we get the faceplate at whatever store they'll be at. If it's gonna be that limited, I bet that not all stores will have it.

You ever heard of "YesAsia"? They have the ST for ~$68 shipped, but I have never heard of that site so I'm a little skeptical.

That things a beauty, I picked up one, too. Besides being a nice package, the music is amazing. Very diverse...top notch all the way.

Regarding the LE soundtrack...has anyone watched the bonus DVD? I still have mine sealed and I'm debating opening it and watching it. I don't even know what region it is and if it'll work on my DVD player (U.S.).

Nothing has been said yet. If I were a betting man I would put money on it being amazon & gamestop over everyone else. I mean there is always SE's online store as well.

I have the FFXII LE soundtrack. I may have to get the FFXIII LE soundtrack as well, but with the current exchange rate, it costs more than the game to import it :(

I bought one, hopefully we'll get it. I updated my cart to 999 to see if it would show me a stock number, it just updates to a red text saying "limit three faceplates per household."

So has anyone found out if the limited edition faceplate comes with the pre-order of the console or if you have to purchase it separately?
 
I think the bundle is the only WAY to play the game on 360, FF13 fills the 250 gb harddrive, otherwise you have to buy 7 install discs that will max our your hard drive.
 
The PS3 version only runs at 720p according to NeoGAF anyway.

1024x576 is still HD running on the 360 as well, it's just not up to the 1280x720p the PS3 runs at.

Best Buy had it for preorder separately from the bundle. it was $9.99 for the first day or two, then unavailable, now it's bumped up to $50. Or free with the bundle.

I put in my order the first day and it hasn't been cancelled, so who knows. Nowhere else has any mention of the faceplate, though. Not even with the bundle.

I still can't guage if this will be limited and hard to find or not. Who knows.

WHY ? I will sharpie the letters and numbers " FF13 " in an arcade and it would be a much cooler than a plain 360 w/ an engraved HD .
 
Has there been any word on how we'll get the avatar items? If they're preloaded onto the Xbox 360, then that would be a problem for me because I want to transfer all my data from my old Xbox. Here's hoping for vouchers!

item has to be linked to your gamertag when downloading.
 
Just to let any of you know, if you preordered the system at gamestop there getting the faceplates in. I just picked up my faceplate at my local gamestop, so now I can cancel the system preorder if I want to.

anyone see the gamerpics for this game yet? I've seen someone using a vanille gamerpic and the gamerpic of that little whiny kid
 
Apparently Team Xbox posted a 5/10 review for this, but it's been pulled. The guy didn't get to finish the game because his third disc "malfunctioned" (which I'm hearing is a common problem).
