First Day of Olympic Curling, eh? OTT

I don't know how these male figure skaters do it. They must have been the guys who played hockey early in their lives, but started getting teased when everyone found out how much he liked the drama club. Then one day they just say fuck it and start dancing on ice.

Doing 4 spins in one jump on ice is cool. Prancing around and feeling yourself up on skates is not cool.
Interesting. If I get an interview I will keep that in mind.
Temp just wants you up there for target practice.:twoguns:

Again, that seems like a bit of a bullshit worst cities list to me. Sure there are a lot of high crime areas on there but I bet you could find a lot shittier in the US than Buffalo.

Yeah, and I find it odd that they use how good the local sports teams are as a deciding factor. How gives a shit about that? I sure as hell wouldn't mind living in a prosperous city whose teams couldn't win a single game.
It does seem that the shittier towns have the worst sports teams. The Grizzlies fucking suck.
Just because there is a general shitty feeling with every big loss (or when your team blows continually) doesn't make it a bad place to live. It's the same way with the taxes. Sure, some cities get taxed to hell, but sometimes that makes the roads better shit like that, although not always.

All I know is I have been through some really fucking shitty towns. Especially West Tennessee, Arkansas, and Alabama. Those deserved to be called miserable because I would blow my brains out if I lived there.

Can't see the list since their mobile site blows, but what are the cities from Ohio? If Akron's not there, it should be.

There was a bridge in Akron that had a homeless shelter/rehab on one end and a mental hospital at the other. Under the bridge is a big ass block of low income housing. Coincidentally (or not), there's a shockingly high number of suicides off of that bridge. Imagine being totally poverty stricken and having to worry about junkies crashing through your roof too.

Akron, my hometown, is definitely on there. And you're talking about the Y bridge.

The others are Cleveland (#1, my $$$$aaaaaa), Youngstown, Toledo, and Canton.
In previous years, it's been 7-10 days for me. Usually I do mine early, so I don't know if that makes a difference. I just finished mine last night, so I'm playing the waiting game as well.
7-10 isn't bad at all...I finished mine last week, got accepted on Saturday, so I guess some time next week.

Yeah i know it's just a coincidence, but it does seem to be the case for quite a few places. Could be that less money is put into those teams due to fewer ticket sales or something.

edidt- I have family from Canton and Akron, they never said it was particularly bad.
No problem. You may want to change passwords and stuff as well. I think mine included a keylogger that ended up in my WoW account being hacked.

Send #83 a message and he will get you back on your WoW feet.
:lol:
Snow all next week ochenta y tres.
What?!?! Where?!?!

To WFMZ!!!!!

Man, I had some strange dreams last night. That rarely happens to me.

I dreamed that my car started overheating. And then I broke my hip. But when they opened it up it was really a piston, not bone.

Sometimes I dont even know why I support ESPN. Their ability to bloodsuck a story is 2nd to none. Its like no sports happened yesterday, its 24 hour Tiger talk. They have asked everyone on staff their opinion 3 times already.

I have to help my friend move today. Thankfully we have lots of help so it's not going to be like that time I helped him bring an organ up 25 stairs.

There's a new CAG contest where cheapy is giving away 5 games of peoples choices each wednesday... all you need to do is add some games to your wish list. FYI, if you guys hadn't seen this yet.
No way anyone from the OTT wins that. Even if we were picked no one would.
Unless one were a mod . . . ;)

Edit: Time to go to the airport, VROOOM!

Anyone ever notice how a lot Scottish people end sentences with an upward inflection? I've noticed Craig Ferguson does it a little, but this guy i was just watching on CBS did it really noticeably.

I might be wrong, but I think it's 5 for the first time to kick it off and 1 each Wednesday after that.

Youngstown is kind of a random addition, but weren't they the murder capital of the US for a while?

Northeast Ohio is depressing as fuck.

while you make pretty speeches
I'm being cut to shreds
you feed me to the lions
a delicate balance

and this just feels like spinning plates
I'm living in cloud cuckoo land
and this just feels like spinning plates
my body's floating down the muddy river

~~~
Adios Muchachos, see you in hell.
Ackbar, you probably have strange dreams more often then you think, they just stay in your subconscious memory.
Nope, I control my dreams. I'm like Dennis Quaid in Dreamscape.
Hahaha...Tiger said "I deserved free pussy wherever I went". fucking awesome.
