Well, mine still says 'Preparing Order', but at least I have a tracking number now. I hope it comes in before I leave for thanksgiving. Probably not.

Mines says ship and I paid for the red. Ordered Wed morning online. My order number is 34514. I don't think it has anything to do with anything. Now I wonder how much these would fetch on eBay?

Same here. I hope they are not doing that to "Trick us" to stop bugging them, and that they really ship tonight. How late does UPS ship out on the west coast?
 
got in for one for 36.35 shipped to NY. hopefully the TRU where i ordered it will have a few of these cables, if not, i'll wait for nintendo to ship it and will have to bear with composite video on my Aquos LCD for a few days
 
So, if it didn't ship today does that mean it's not going to get here until sometime after the 28th? My order changed from Backordered to Preparing Order sometime today but there's no tracking # and no other indication that it might have shipped.

Edit: Arg, looks like I can't cancel it now. I didn't want to order them unless they had a chance of getting here before launch :( I did UPSRED, too :/

Thank God, my tracking says it'll be here tomorrow. Is anyone else calling once they have them and asking for a refund on shipping, if anything, at least 7 dollars back? i sure as hell am.

The website says explicitly these shipping times do not include processing time(ie packing and fullfilling lots of orders). I'm sure we can live with one day of composit input.

That's not the point. The point is tons of people ordered hours after me (and others) and paid $7 less, an are getting it the same day as the people who paid for overnight. Why did they process the 2-day orders who ordered at noon, before the 1-day orders who ordered at 9 am?
 
Woot! Mine says it shipped and picked the expidated shipping, so it went out UPS red and I am getting tomorrow. I don't think I could have handled hooking it up without it ;)

Guess this makes up for missing out on that PS3 tomorrow morning.

Oh sorry, I misunderstood. I know their parts department is split into divisions around the states. :bs:

It's lame but i suppose I'll cope. I too am probably at the same loss.

Nope, that is the point. The point is they can put in whatever bullshit they want to in to that "processing time". It's just like people padding e-bay orders with excessive shipping and handling. They might value their handling time at 30 bucks an hour and besides not buying from them, there is little you can do. I'm not saying it's a good practice, and were I in your shoes I would be pissed off too. But it's not like they don't have plausible deniability that your order was handled slower than others.
 
Sooooooo.... Is there any way we could make our own cables? I'm real desperate to play Zelda in progressive scan... games look like shit on my HDtv without progressive scan. Much worse than on a SDtv.

Seriously, would anyone have any idea how to do something like that?
 
You guys paid the extra two dollars in order to get it before the console release, which you will...so what is the big deal? I'd be happy that most were able to get these before they even open their wii box.

Actually I paid $8 extra to get them in before the console release, but who's counting anyway? At this point, I'm just relieved that they've shipped. I mean, if Nintendo had shipped them overnight on the day I'd ordered them and I had gotten them in today, its not as though I could have actually done anything with them. As long as they're here when I'm setting up my Wii, it won't matter to me what day they came on or how much I paid to ship them.

Of course if, after paying for next day air, they aren't delivered until Monday you can bet that I'll be singing a very different tune.

Thats perfectly fair and more along the lines of what i meant to say..im very tired. But yeah, for the overnighters, its not as if you could use these before Sunday anyway. Now if some blues got it before you and you didn't get yours until Monday, sure, be pissed.

In other news, my 36xx order went from backordered to prepping late today. Huzzah!!

exactly. The problem lies in the fact that this is a hugely popular item wanted by thousands of people. Thousands of people whom post shippnig comparisons on the net. You can bet the other 364 days of the year no one is comparing their Red to Blue shipping methods. It's only because this item is under tight scrutiny.

As long as I get them today, I don't care about the extra money. I knew by selecting either RED or BLUE I was taking gamble. How everyone else's order pans out didn't matter, it was my choice.

Now if they arrive Monday, then we have a problem. I have a tracking # but no info from it yet, so it doesn't appear out of the question that they arrive on Mon.

Yeah buy the Pelican Component cables. Issue is that they are 60 dollars and third party. You can find them at best buy. Pelican goes under another name now, it's called psyclone i think.


Mad cats makes a really crappy one for $15 dollars...


So if you can't wait there are options.... not sure if you'll get the same quality you would going with nintendo.

They most likely printed the UPS stickers last night. The trucks have not picked up @ location yet.

They are probably sitting in their boxes on crates waiting for the UPS pick up/Scan.
