Given the huge number of Florida CAGs on this board now, it seems like a good time to start pooling our knowledge to make the most of our time (and gas!).

I'll get things started...I'll try to keep this updated as new info is posted. If you have any info on Florida stores that you'd like to share, please post it here!
lol, I actually I returned it and got Burnout. Otherwise I would have played you.
Yeah me too, traded it in for some Magnetica for some Lite lovin

I just got back from the CC on Atlantic near Southside Blvd (Jax). They had a number of copies of Ultimate Spiderman and Castlevania:COD for $8.92.
Get them while they last!!!

I hit up both CC's on this side of town (atlantic and southside). Atlantic had very little marked but I did pick up Metroid Pinball and Tales of Phantasia. The Southside had a better selection with multiple copies of Monster Hunter, Castlevania COD, Ultimate Spidey, Def Jam NY, Gun, and a few others.

I'll head over to both the Circuit City's tomorrow morning. Thanks, guys. I'm hoping to grab an EyeToy...we'll see.

I might venture to OP (may the CAG-gods help me) CC and see whats up there. IF anyoneone needs anything please post here and I will get it if its availiable before the FW/BS people rape it. I probally will be going around 2PM tomorrow, post before then for CAG help.

I hit the Circuit City's on Atlantic and Southside, and I'll confirm that the Southside one is definately the better. I got all the following at the $8.96 clearence price:

From Atlantic/Regency:
-Indigo Prophecy (PS2, marked $19.99)

From Southside/Avenues:
-Metroid Prime Pinball (DS, marked $32.99)
-Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (PS2)
-Super Monkey Ball Deluxe (PS2)
-Ultimate Spiderman (PS2)

The Southside one has plenty of copies of each left. There were two or three Xenosaga Ep. II, one Ghost Recon II (PS2), one or two copies of Tales of Phantasia, and a copy of Turok Evolution on Gamecube for anyone who wants to give a gift to someone they hate.

The Regency/Atlantic one had tons of copies of Second Sight for PS2 marked down to $7.99. Sort of obscure...

Hit the Atlantic CC again today after work, picked up Castlevania and The Warriors and brought it to Rhinos where they qualified for the trade two get 1 for $1. After it was all done with, I came home with Table Tennis for 360.

hey guys, big news down in Miami.

The CC in Kendall by Dadeland is lacking, however the CC past International Mall (87th Ave. and N.W. 13th St.) has nearly all the games listed on the sale as of 1:30 PM Friday. Hurry before it gets pillaged.

Actionville CAGs - is it even worth bothering today? With the stories of other locales pulling stock and the seemingly "meh" pickups so far in the area...

Was there anything you were wanting in the first place? I could see why its meh as there are a good deal of marinally good games. PM me if you want me to pick up anything

Nah, wasn't really looking for anything in particular...I think it's just the CAGacity pulling at me. Thanks, though, I do appreciate that!

I might have to go back to Circuit City later...they added Pac Pix to the $8.96 list, and I saw a copy over there...

I stopped by Gamestop at the Town Center last night on my way out towards the beach. They have a couple bargain bins with games "less than $9.99" for PS2 and Xbox. Lots of crap, but a few good ones too: I got Metal Gear Solid 2 for $3.

Does anyone know any good indy / import video game stores in FL? Tampa, Orlando, anything will do, just curious before I place an order through play-asia.

There's a business up here in Jax called "Game Force," but they don't do imports. They sold me a modded PS1 a few years ago, and they still carry a lot of really obscure games. They're the closest I've seen to that sort of thing in Florida...

Back in the day I know Rhinos (atleast in the OP Mall) use to carry DC imports and what not. We also use to have a Game Cave here which I believe is gone.

I wish more companies would carry imports, I remember back in the day before I even had a Saturn, EB had Radiant Silvergun for an easy $40.

The Rhino stores in Gainesville used to carry imports as well.

You should check out the Tampa location (if you haven't already).

Wyndale Citrus Court
6110 Gunn Highway
Tampa, FL 33625
(813) 964-0177

All that Rhino carries is overpriced games :(

Stay on your own thread! LOL J/K

How big is the demand for imported games? IS threre really market for imports?

Just wondering.

Orlando has a Huge Anime/Import/Plush store on Colonial, if you are willing to pay for the markup i'd check it out.

Target at the St. John's Towncenter has a clearence rack with some "meh" PC games. I picked up Sonic Adventure DX for $2.49. I don't know how much will be left, but the other stuff I saw was mostly sports games.

Anyone check if the Blockbuster sale is going on here , I know gamerush/crazy doesn't want to touch Jacksonville because of our stupid JSO pawn shop rules. I'll be checking my nearest blockbuster today, good luck all.

If it's the one I'm thniking of (it's on a a block that is mostly asian merchants), they sell crappy bootleg movies in addition to the legal stuff. I bought a couple of R2 movie DVDs there when I was in Orlando a while back, and when I got them home they turned out to be bootlegs with high-quality scanned case inserts. They didn't work, of course. :bomb:

CompUSA at Regency has a few games in the "Manager's Special" deal at pretty good prices. Mostly PS2 stuff.
$9.99
- Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
- Killer7
- Mafia
- The Getaway
- 007: Everything or Nothing

I also remember seeing Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones on Gamecube for $24.99.

Circuit City on Southside has added a bunch of stuff to their bargain bins. Most of it just more copies from what they already had, but now there are a bunch of GBA games in a second bin.

Just got back from CC @ Regency...

There is about a half bin of GBA games (nothing that caught my eye). The DS games that they had left were crap. The had plenty of PS2 and Xbox games (Hulk, Gun, NBA 2K6, Castlevania, Warriors, etc) and just a few PSP games (5 copies of Exit, NBA Street, and a couple more).

I picked up Gun for Xbox and I'm going to hit up Rhinos later since I have some credit and check out the clearance sying mentioned.

Hey guys, I'm visiting Jacksonville for the summer and was wondering if anyone knows where I could find a decent selection of dreamcast games. All I can think of right now is Rhino and EBGames/Gamestop.

If you are looking for specific DC games I suggest calling up the individual rhino's up for ther dc selection. its kinda hit or miss with them. Southside has a decent selection. In terms of EB/GS good luck, I hear that they were sending them to HQ to be scrapped.

Welcome to Jacksonville, prepare to be bored!!!

I'm actually making a list of games to look for. And I don't feel like asking for all of them over the phone so I'll look in-store. Thanks for your help.

And I'm looking for old dreamcast games to play... I'm already bored!

Rhino's is your best bet, not sure if GameForce still sells DC games (even if they do, I am sure it is a crap selection).

Anything in paticular you were looking for? I usually stop by the Rhinos on 3rd St. once a week and take a gander at the DC games.

Game Force Regency = out of buisiness for the moment. They are relocating. They got ok Dreamcast games for 10.00 each. Let me know and I'll talk to the owner.

Shit...I told my sister-in-law to go up there yesterday to get a disc resurfaced for her son. Where else can I send her locally?

There is another Gameforce at San Pablo and Beach.

I think one of the game places at the flea market on Beach also does resurfacing.

Let me tell you about an experience of mine though... Not to long ago I bought two DC games but I could not get it work (even tried playing them on a different DC). So I had heard about boiling games that don't work that have scratches. So I boiled one of them for 25 seconds, dried it off and sure enough it worked. Tried the same thing with the second game and it worked again. Haven't tried it on games for other systems but it does do the trick for DC games.

So if you have like demo disc that doesn't work, it is worth giving it a shot just to try it out.

Damn! That was one of my favorite places to get retro stuff. I just bought a Sega Saturn from them a couple months ago...

There is a cage of $9 and $14 games at Walmart (beach and San Pablo). Nothing to great, mostly games that are normally $20 (Soul Calibur II, Red Dead Revolver, plenty of sports games, etc). I did pick up FIFA Street 2 though for $9.

Edit: Left work today and we had three copies of Taiko Drum Master in the back (Target Regency) for $9.99 Give the following number to any one around to get it out of the back. 207 12 1080
Has any one attempted to find anything at CompUSA?
No, but the Toys R Us at Phillips had a decent selection of the "new" clearance games. Several copies each of Doom 3 Collector's Edition ($10, Xbox), Psychonauts ($15, Xbox), Baiten Kaitos w/ Soundtrack ($15, GameCube), etc.

no offense to anyone, but someone really needs to start a "South Florida" thread since northern and southern florida are almsot two different worlds... if anyone understands what I mean.

Should we start a Jacksonville thread? It seems like that's what this topic turned into after the Tampa people left, anyways...

if you know how to do that, i'd be in for a Jax thread.
Also, has anyone checked out the Rhino clearance sale that they've got going on? let me know if it's any good.
Also, i have axis and allies classic and axis and allies: european if anyone is interested. i tried selling it on Craigslist, but it was a pain in the butt. if anyone is interested, let me know.
