Given the huge number of Florida CAGs on this board now, it seems like a good time to start pooling our knowledge to make the most of our time (and gas!).

I'll get things started...I'll try to keep this updated as new info is posted. If you have any info on Florida stores that you'd like to share, please post it here!

Best Buy
Altamonte Springs (SR 436): still some $10 games as of 9/13; no Y's or Paper Mario [mgreig]
Gainesville (Archer Road): limited stock, bad customer service [Msia]

Did any of you get MGS3 Subsistence LE? The Gamestop I preordered at received only my copy. I have also yet to see Phoenix Wright in stores dude. I'll probably check a few Wal Marts tomorrow since I doubt EB and Gamestop will carry it again.

Yep, I scored a copy... called every EB / GS in Saint Petersburg until I found one, this was at 11 am.

I know for a fact every EB here got one extra, along with the GS's.
I work at EA Tiburon, we tested that game. It's pretty fun, but I get it for like $20. I get every game for $20 or less... Every EA game that is. And I get to play games that aren't gonna be out for a looong time (Superman ) but shhhh
I just applied for a job there. I really hope I am able to land it.
If anybody in the Tampa area wants MGS 3 LE, the store at University Mall has 1 or 2 left as of Sunday at 1 pm.
I would kill for that.

Hmmm, Tampa is only two hours away from me :whistle2:k

Wouldn't hurt to give them a call tommorrow morning... the guy said they had 10 in originally, and they've slowly been trickling out since Wednesday.

I just got a XBox 360 Premium system at Super Target in the Clearwater Mall. They had 5 in the display case. I applied for the Target card and got 10% off.

Has anyone checked out any of the CompUSA's in the Tampa / Clearwater area for any of the 12.88 game deals?

I'd go myself but it's an hour round trip, and not worth it if they don't have shit.

RHINO GAMES** (Jacksonville-on southside blvd.): Great staff, alot of games and systems in stock.

RHINO GAMES** (3rd street in Jax Beach): Staff very friendly, they keep lots of desireable RPG's in stock for all systems (nintendo to XBOX).

RHINO GAMES** (on Atlantic Blvd): A little more pushy staff, but they try to be helpful...as best they can, none of them seem to be into games.

**A note about all of the RHINO GAMES in the Jacksonville area: All of them have a deal that has been going on for over a year (BUY 2 Classic titles GET 1 FREE). This is for Nintendo, Genesis, SNES, N64, Dreamcast and Playstation.

Gameforce (by the Regency Mall in Jacksonville): Very smart & friendly staff with TONS of movies, classic games, new games, and quite a bit of used PC games. Great prices too! Owned independantly by a husband and wife, usually ran by one of their two sons.

Those Were the Games! (Located in the Pecan Park Flea Market): Very good prices on old school games, movies (DVD & VHS), new games, and all systems. Owned and operated by the Wood family and ocassionally by ME!

I finally went to a Rhino here... they were extremely overpriced on most of their items. Well, they had good PS One deals, espically with buy 2 get 1 free, but almost all of it was scratched up disc only junk.

Good deal on used strategy guides though, $1.99 for any of them, I got a used Arc the Lad End of Darkness guide for cheap.

I posted this in the Target clearance thread, but I'll post it here too.

I picked up Meteos(DS) for $7.48 at the Southside Blvd. Target yesterday. They are in the game display case with no clearance stickers. There were 2 left when I left.

I snagged two copies of Phoenix Wright from the base exchange at Patrick AFB by Melbourne. They also have Lost in Blue for the DS. No real deals other than the fact that it's tax-free.

Can you remember any of the titles of $1.99 guides? I'm interested, but it's quite a trek for me (I'm in St. Pete). Thanks!

Its not worth it... trust me, if there was anything decent at all at $1.99 I would have snatched up every single one of them :p

A friend of mine loved the store, I thought it was overpriced and not really worth the trip. The only worthwhile guide for me was Arc The Lad: End of Darkness.

From memory, they had Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, Rainbow Six 3 Lockdown, some sports guides, a Spyro guide... really nothing you'd want to make the 30 - 45 minute drive for.
Target on Bruce B. Downs and Flethcer lowered their clearance. I got Viewtiful Joe 2 for $3.74 yesterday.
Great, competition. I kid. That's the one I'm going to be living down the street from soon.

Tampa Bay is full of competition... if you're not at a deal the minute it breaks, don't expect to find alot.

*waves* lol...

I'm kinda out of the loop right now, i need to get back in though, im running low on store credit @ Gamerush. Seems like i waited too long on this Red Ninja thing. Hopefully some more gems will show themselves soon.

Found some decent deals on some games at the Clearwater CompUSA...

Darkwatch - $9.98
Area 51 - $9.98
Splinter Cell - 98 cents

All for PS2. Lots of other deals, like Silent Hill 4 for $9.98, Incredible Hulk (ps2) for $19.98... might be worth taking a look. Sorry, I grabbed the last copy of everything I listed.

I might head over to the Tampa location to see if they have any decent deals as well.

just a minor heads up: the TRU by dadeland has alot of decent PS2 accessories for 90% off. I'm almost absolutly sure there was the 3D Surround sound system, marked green at $80, but should ring up at $8. Also some starter packs are dirt cheap. they price from $0.98 to $4.99... the $4.99 once comes with a multitap which may be worth getting.

Thanks, by the way. I snagged one a few days back.

All of the Jax Cags seem like avid Target shoppers but which one(s) do you visit the most? I work at the Regency one so I'm always checking for good clearance games but most of the time its lame stuff.

I tend to visit the St. Johns Town Center and Southside Blvd. Stores more frequently than the other locations, but occasionally Regency or the one in Ponte Vedra.

Yeah, I go to the Town Center often, its only a few minutes away from the house. Besides that way if I dont find anything, I can always check out EB and Gamestop right there.

The Wal*Mart Supercenter on Beach Blvd (Jacksonville) has two copies of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles bundled with the GC/GBA link cables for $10.00.

Thanks for the heads up.

With the Tampa guys having a thread, I guess this will turn into the Jax thread.

Blockbuster @ Beach and San Pablo had Wavebirds for $5 but I missed out. The cashier called two others but to no luck.

So any one else in the area keep an eye out.

Circuit City Waterford Lakes has a few Xbox games under $10:

Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
Tony Hawk: Underground
One of the Midway Arcade Treasures
Hitman 2
Others I can't remember

I was there to buy an MP3 player and wasn't interested in any of them, but maybe someone here is.

St Johns and Atlantic Blockbuster had/has 12.99 PS2 memory cards. Let me know if you want one because I bought 2

Damn, those are some good deals for Blockbuster. The one at Beach / University had Halo 2 new for $10 last time I was there, but that's about it...I don't usually go to Blockbuster anymore ($9 for a rental is just a ripoff) but I might have to look around this weekend.

Does anyone know if the K-Mart / Sears conversions are going on in this area?

I stopped by the K-Mart at Beach/University yesterday...they don't have anything too good, but there were a few lower-than-usual prices:
Final Fantasy X-2: $16.99
Mega Man Anniversary Collection (PS2): $16.99
Not that great, but I didn't expect much either.
There's a shelf for each console marked "CLEARANCE" with a bunch of games just thrown on top of each other. Because the shelves are locked, you have to ask someone to open it, and they have to stand there while you look through everything. I wasn't motivated enough to look for long. Xx;;

Actually Final Fantasy X-2 has been $14.99 in some places for months now. But hey, this is K-Mart we're talking about. If mine was still in business I'm sure they'd have Wave Race Blue Storm for $50.

Oh yeah, I was at the Blockbuster located on Alafaya and they had 2 360 cores. They had a sign on the door advertising it. Maybe one of you who wants a 360 should check it out.

I was just at that same location this week and saw the same exact sign. :)

Gamestop at Regency (Jax) had a few used copies of Metroid Prime Hunters @ $24.99. Not a bad price considering it's not even a month old yet and the MSRP is $10 more.

Sears at the same mall has all their clearence games in a bargin bin, plus a bunch of EyeToy bundles for $24.99. The games in the bin were priced from $4.99 to $19.99. I didn't see anything too exciting (lots of Greatest, Hits titles, etc), but there were quite a few DS games. Sprung is $9.99 (currently $1.99 at Best Buy), Feel the Magic XY/XX is $14.99 (although it's still $10 on Amazon), and Meteos is $19.99. Aside from that, not much out of the ordinary.

Walmart @ San Pablo and Beach has the following:

PS2 Multitap $7
Logitech PS2 USB headset $5
PS2 Network Adpater $20
Logitech Playgear Pocket $17
Various PSP and GB Micro sleeves on clearance

Also, GameStop @ the town center had a copy of Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure for all you die hard rpg fans.
