Given the huge number of Florida CAGs on this board now, it seems like a good time to start pooling our knowledge to make the most of our time (and gas!).

I'll get things started...I'll try to keep this updated as new info is posted. If you have any info on Florida stores that you'd like to share, please post it here!

Best Buy
Altamonte Springs (SR 436): still some $10 games as of 9/13; no Y's or Paper Mario [mgreig]
Gainesville (Archer Road): limited stock, bad customer service [Msia]
Lakeland: Layout is strange, but they tend to keep stock during sales. Individual checkout lanes. [kojubat]
Melbourne: unorganized staff [Msia]
Miami (Pembroke Pines): Generally has nothing in stock unless you are lucky and people there don't knw what they are doing. [s3v3n777]
Miami (Hialeah): This is a pretty decent store. One of the original BB in Miami and still has a great selection and relatively good customer service. [s3v3n777]
Miami (Bird Road): I'd say this is the best Best Buy that I know of. Their selection is the best, and the people there are always nice. Usually not that busy and in a pretty quiet little corner. [s3v3n777]
Ocoee: Decent store, decent staff. Some deals available when others sell out. [kojubat]
Orlando (East Colonial, near Semoran): Okay stock. Rarely make a special trip. [kojubat]

Miami (Pembroke Pines): This store is good but their video game dept. is a mess. [s3v3n777]

Orlando (Florida Mall): Decent selection, disinterested staff. [kojubat]
Orlando (West Colonial): Good selection, sale games are usually clearly marked and gathered during clearances. Helpful staff. [kojubat]
Orlando (Millenia Mall): Horrible game selection, hardly any shelf space. New store. [kojubat]

[quote name='Roufuss']I have done numerous coupons there, and the Dale Mabry store in Tampa without a hassle since my incidents in Saint Petersburg.

Went pawnshopping in Tampa today, found a perfect condition + complete Shadow Hearts for ps2 for only $13... alot better then paying the 25 or 30 Gamestop wants for it. Wanted this game forever as well, found it at my lucky pawn shop of choice that always seems to have one thing worth getting.

If anyone wants to get in on a $19.99 A/C Tony Hawk's American Wasteland at Best Buy this week, the Dale Mabry store has TONS of the collector's edition for ps2.[/QUOTE]

Any Pawn shop suggestions for Tampa? I live in Brandon and the pawn shops here aren't so great.

Reposting this from the CC clearance thread...

Central Florida update: Daytona Beach is cleaned out (all that's left is F-Zero NGC for $8). Went through all the racks but couldn't find anything else.

Sanford still has a lot left though....none of the real cheapies are left, but most of the $10 and $14/$16 games are still there...Monkey Ball GBA (3 copies), Get on Da Mic (2 copies), Silent Hill 4 (1 copy), and Call of Duty NGC (1 copy) I remember in particular.

Wagon Wheel and Oldsmar flea markets are alright, just have to hit it at the right time.

Tampa Pawn shops are great and the Brandon ones can be if hit at the right time. There is a specific pawn shop route in Tampa that I have been doing for 8 years and make a killing almost every time (as well as the people that I have passed on the information to). For example, I bought a John Q DVD for $2 and the guy gives me cart only N64 games (Mega Man Legends 64 and Yoshi's Story) for free this past Thursday.

Tampa area is also home to great Gamerushes. I went to Land O' Lakes today (my high school Alma Mater) with a friend and I got a COMPLETE w/ extras Arc the Lad Collection for $3.50 credit and a COMPLETE Lunar Fan Edition for $5.50 credit. I gave my friend the COMPLETE Lunar 2 w/ extras that was there, which he bought for $3.50 cash (sucker - LOL). My credit is from the D2R2 and Knighmare of Druaga thing, so if you avearage it out I paid about $2.50 total for 2 insanely rare games.

A little late for a K-Mart 50% off update now, but this is what I found today worth noting -

K-Mart in Seminole Mall (around Saint Petersburg) had multiple copies of Megaman Battle Network 5, Killer 7 (both systems), Racing Gears Advance (is 9.99), Street Fighter Anniversary (Xbox), and some others. I think Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath.

K-Mart in Southside Saint Petersburg has nothing, don't even bother. Only Mario Pinball Land for $15. Same with the one on 34th Street North.

K-Mart on 66th Street has Racing Gears Advance, DMC 3, not sure what else as I haven't been lately.

Anything good at the Kmart on 54? Im going to the Gamerush accross from there later, but Kmart's most likely closed now (8pm on a sunday night). Im really hoping to find an eyetoy, but i doubt any of them will have any.

K-Mart actually closes at 10 pm, 7 days a week.

I didn't check the K-Mart's in Tampa, no point to since I found what I needed at the last one I checked in Seminole.

I would have liked Kirby, but I don't know my way around Tampa that well to search for something that probably wasn't there.

K-Mart on 54 (I know its late, but for next time), had a number of games, such as Mega Man X8 and Greatest Hits games. Nothing phenomenal, but a decent selection. The Gamerush is worth going to, especially after my unbelievable finds (posted above).

If anyone finds any penny guides in the Tampa Bay area at EB / Gamestop, please let me know, I don't have time to visit ANY stores lately.

I'm just looking for Advance Wars: Dual Strike and Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, I'd be willing to pay for time and effort and all that if anyone can help me.

I also have TWO copies of Mario DDR available... I got them about a month and a half ago, was going to Ebay them, my listing got pulled because of my own stupid mistake and I really don't want to go through the hassle of making a new listing.

Before I take them back to where I got them from (yay for 90 day return policys!) does anyone in the Tampa Bay area want them? They are still going for well over $100 on Ebay, all I'm asking is $60 to cover MSRP, tax, plus a few dollars extra.

Has anyone checked out the two CompUSA's in the area for clearance deals? I don't want to make the 30 minute drive either way for nothing...

Havent been to any comp usa's. But a few days before the sale, the one on Hillsborough litterally had 7 video games for each system, unless they were hidding the sale items in the back, i doubt they have anything there. May want to try the Dale Mabry store.

I really want those Resident Evil GC games for $2.98 each.

Altamonte (Orlando) Comp USA had very little left...several copies of Armed and Dangerous for $10, but that's about it. None of the cheapies were anywhere to be found.

Not sure if anyone has posted this, but I went to the Best Buy in Brandon yesterday and picked up Rise of the Kasai for $9.99. I thought it was a good deal. Don't think it's selling that low anywhere else. They had about 5 or 6 copies left.

Any good deals at the Dale Mabry Toys R Us? I cant believe that they are closing while the Fowler ave location stays open. I know the Dale Mabry one isnt in the best neighborhood, but its accross from a Walmart, Best Buy, and next to a Home Depot & Super Target. Its not like no one is in the area.

I'm going tomorrow morning. I'll post if I find anything

They are going to sell the land for a huge huge huge profit, that's why.

Yeah there's nothingat the Dale Mabry TRU. There's only FF DoS. They look pretty wiped.
Also both the Dale Mabry CC and Brandon CC have crap.
I didn't find anything today

K, thx. I went to the CC in Citrus Park today, the only "cheap" game they had was Spawn for PS2, only $1.96, i still passed it up, lol.

I just saw that there's a tab for CAG Meetups on the main page. is this something that interests anyone? I know that there have been two great sales at TRU and now CC. If everyone of us hits those up and gets extra games, which i do every time, we can schedule a meetup somewhere and trade some of them out. I know we do this through CAG and that would negate the need for a meetup, but i know that i've been in contact with one or two of you fairly often and have talked about doing the Pawn Shop route together.
What do you guys think? Is this a creepy idea? Is it a good idea?
I'm going to hit the CC in my part of town. I've had good luck there, so I'll let everyone know.
I'm currently holding Winning 11 soccer 8, Amplitude, Romance of the Three Kingdoms 9, Doom 3, and Neo Contra.

Hey, I'm down for that, and now I have more time since I am jobless and not working 50 hour weeks :D

Kind of interested in that Winning 11 soccer 8, are you getting rid of it?

[quote name='sying']Any CAGs here other than me and Whippy? Jacksonville seems kinda bare in terms of CAGers, more FWers for sure[/QUOTE]
I'm down in Orlando for college, but I came from Orange Park. If anything, I would only venture into Jax into the Avenues area.

Throw another name to the J-ville list,,, or jax beach if you want to get technical..

I'm within striking distance as well in Deltona, but rarely make it past the Avenues mall. I've found a lot of good stuff at the Avenues TRU :)

Question for you Orlando/Tampa area CAGs: Do we have any MovieStop locations? I got a gift card for MovieStop for Xmas and I've never even heard of the store, nor do I know where they are located. I tried looking for a website, but couldn't find one. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, I did a forum search and it seems there are two MovieStops in Orlando, though I don't know where. There is also one in Citrus Park (Westfield Shopping Town) in Tampa.

I wish they had a website or something. It's pretty dumb that customers can't even look-up where they are located.

EDIT: According to Yahoo Locals, there is one on Kirkman, which I don't really feel like driving out to from UCF. I have no idea where the other one is located, if there indeed is another one.

[quote name='Legolas813']Question for you Orlando/Tampa area CAGs: Do we have any MovieStop locations?[/QUOTE]
There is one near the Seminole Town Center, in the same shopping center as the newish Target.

There is also one that just opened in Kissimmee, right at the Turnpike and Osceola Parkway in the Walmart shopping center.

As far as the one on Kirkman, I have no idea where that is, unless they opened it next to the Gamestop in Metro West at the Walmart. I haven't been that way in a while, so I don't really know. EDIT: Guess I should have clicked the link. Yeah, that has to be where it is.

I went to the Dale Mabry TRU yesterday afternoon and picked up an XBOX Live 13-month card for $29.99. They had two still left there. Also, for anyone down in the Bradenton/Sarasota area, the Sarasota TRU had a ton of $9.98 games left plus more 13-month cards. I was hoping for some Marketplace Points, but alas, they are all gone.

Sweet, been wanting to pick one up, hopefully it'll still be there in the morning. Did it include the $20 mail in rebate?

Has anyone around noticed TRU's restocking on 9.99 games?

Looking for a copy of Psychonauts for ps2, but no luck though...

No, the one with the rebate is the 12-month Live Kit that comes with the headset. The Sarasota TRU still had a few of those. I believe they're $42 after the discount.

if you, or anyone else, comes across an extra copy of the game, let me know. i've wanted this game for a while as well.

[quote name='AngellicLulu']Yeah there's nothingat the Dale Mabry TRU. There's only FF DoS. They look pretty wiped.
[/QUOTE]

Did we go to the same TRU that's closing?

Sure, the shelves look empty, but they still have a ton of games back behind the glass case for ps2, xbox, and PSP. Granted, most of them are mainstream games, but there is some stuff worth coming back to for the 30% and 40% offs if they happen.

I managed to find the last copy of Lost in Blue, got it for $23.99, surprised it sat there for this long. Mostly crap for DS / GBA, and the GC section looked a bit cleaned out.

Unless you mean spefically 9.99 games, yea they had nothing left. But regular stock, there are quite a number of things worth keeping an eye on for future drops.

I went to the Citrus Park Best Buy today (Tuesday, 24 January). They had over 20 Premium Units in stock. I got mine!!!!! Are you going to get yours?

Nice Barry. Congrats on snagging yourself one. Hope you enjoy it!

The Regency Target on Monument Road in Jacksonville FL has three XBox 360 premium bundles in stock, no cores for the regular $399.99 price tag.

We had 8 yesterday, I'm suprised they have lasted that long.

Does anyone here have a 360? I would like to get a game or two for it, but i'll be damned if i'm going to pay $55 or more for a game that isn't a "must have!" If anyone has any games that they want to trade (specifically PDZ of Kameo or King Kong or Need For Speed) I have a number of games that i'd be willing to part with.
Let me know via PM

YOu should get a Gamepass at Gamerush, $21.99 a month for unlimited rentals (1 out at a time), rent 360 games that way (though you have to use an actual credit card to secure your account if you want to rent 360's).

[quote name='Hot Like Wasabi']We had 8 yesterday, I'm suprised they have lasted that long.[/QUOTE]

Aftermarket has sort of died and people are poor... Christmas bills starting to come in...

The Gamerush in Wesley Chapel has a core system in for anyone interested. THey said they couldnt hold it though. I didnt bother with the drive.

I've got a new/sealed premium 360, that I don't need to keep. If anyone in the Tampa area is interested, I'll sell at cost ($427.99) plus $5. EDIT: SOLD
