Given the huge number of Florida CAGs on this board now, it seems like a good time to start pooling our knowledge to make the most of our time (and gas!).

I'll get things started...I'll try to keep this updated as new info is posted. If you have any info on Florida stores that you'd like to share, please post it here!

Best Buy
Altamonte Springs (SR 436): still some $10 games as of 9/13; no Y's or Paper Mario [mgreig]
Gainesville (Archer Road): limited stock, bad customer service [Msia]
Lakeland: Layout is strange, but they tend to keep stock during sales. Individual checkout lanes. [kojubat]
Melbourne: unorganized staff [Msia]
Miami (Pembroke Pines): Generally has nothing in stock unless you are lucky and people there don't knw what they are doing. [s3v3n777]
Miami (Hialeah): This is a pretty decent store. One of the original BB in Miami and still has a great selection and relatively good customer service. [s3v3n777]
Miami (Bird Road): I'd say this is the best Best Buy that I know of. Their selection is the best, and the people there are always nice. Usually not that busy and in a pretty quiet little corner. [s3v3n777]
Ocoee: Decent store, decent staff. Some deals available when others sell out. [kojubat]

Orlando (Florida Mall): Decent selection, disinterested staff. [kojubat]
Orlando (West Colonial): Good selection, sale games are usually clearly marked and gathered during clearances. Helpful staff. [kojubat]
Orlando (Millenia Mall): Horrible game selection, hardly any shelf space. New store. [kojubat]

Went by the TRU at Regency this morning for the clearance sale, Picked up a lot of great titltes( just 1 of each title) for $9.98, anyone wanting a RE4 for the gamecube should go there since they had plenty..

Went for Ninja Gaiden, left with Samurai Western. Oh well.

I went to 2 TRUs:
Tampa/Fowler: RE4, Warioware GBA, Mr. Driller, DBZ Sagas PS2 (rang up for 5)
Brandon: Digital Devil Saga, Alien Hominid (note they also had RE4)

If anyone in the Jax area still needs an Xbox 360 Premium (w/ bonus remote), I just snagged one at the Orange Park Best Buy. I won't go through my fun story about the experience, but what you should know is that the OP BB is a little slow recieving the rest of their shipment, so they'll be getting in another some time in the next couple of days. If it comes in Friday morning/afternoon, they'll sell it then, but if it comes in Friday evening, they'll hold it until Saturday to sell.

As for the TRU situation, I know there's still several RE4 left, a Pikmin 2 or two, a couple Samurai Western, a couple VJ2, one more Metal Slug 4/5, one or two more Final Fantasy 1&2... (Uh, maybe trying to remember what's there will take too long and/or gloss over something...) No DDS1, Conker, Area 51, Romance of Three Kingdoms X... I was very happy to get the last Fatal Frame 2 to add to my collection; also got the last Alien Hominid and (maybe?) the last Psychonauts. (Well, others were lacking too, but these are the significant ones that come to mind, probably because they were some I was looking for.)

For anyone interested, the Fowler ave TRU in Tampa had a good selection of games, i snatched all the RE4's, but there were plenty of other good games. They had tons of Romance 3's (which sell for $27 at gamerush) and plenty of other games that sell for $19-24 (Ghost in the Shell, Dead 2 Rights, Dynasty Warriors, etc).

Im getting ready to head out to the Dale Mabry TRU, hopefully ill find some good deals.

Are you saying they had Dynasty Warriors 5? Because I didn't see any when I went in the morning. Maybe I missed it. I hope not because that was my main reason on even going.

Hmm, i may have been seeing things. I ended up going back to the Fowler, and Dale Mabry stores. The only decent titles they had were Siphon Filter, Amplitude, Xenosaga 2, and FF:Tactics for PSX.

The fowler store still has a buncha DS games (ones that are on sale at Target for $2.49), but other than that, the only worthwhile games were Doom 3 & Viewtiful Joe 2. Luckily they had 3 Ghost in the Shell: SAC's left (which sell for $19 at Gamerush) so i hoarded em.

But, the karma of a hoarder cought up with me, got to gamerush at 10:05pm and was told to "come back tomorrow, we only take trade ins til 10pm".

Im still kicking myself for passing up all those Romance 3's (which trade in for $27 at Gamerush). But, i made out pretty good, assuming the prices dont drop horribly by 10am tomorrow, ill have made $54 profit.

All I saw was DW5: Xtreme Legends, which was not on clearance :whistle2:(
But at least I managed a copy of RE4 before you hogged them all
Brandon had 4 copies of DDS when I left at 1pm, and they didn't have them marked behind the counter correctly, but had them right on the shelf. But that store was pretty busy.
Fowler store was dead. Wow, I was amazed how dead it was.

Yea, even at 9:50 at night there was barely anyone there. While the Dale Mabry store (which was open til Midnight) had a full parking lot (and dear god was the place packed inside)

I was wondering about the Brandon store, didnt really feel like making the drive. Probably isnt anything worthwile left now.

Brandon was out of DDS when I got there at 6:00pm.
Dang it!
They did have RE4 though.

It was pretty busy at that time.

I went back at 11:00pm and there was still a few games there, but not much.

I checked about 5 TRU's from Saint Petersburg to Port Richey, nobody had DW 5 in stock.

The TRU in Countryside dosen't have shit, just 12 copies of Megaman Battle Network 4: Red Sun (unmarked) and FF: Dawn of Souls. I picked up a MMBN 4 since it was the only thing I was actually looking for.

That TRU on Fowler is where I got Bust A Move DS and Nanostray as part of the 2 for 30, got the last copy of BaM they had, only TRU that had both titles in stock. That store was really dead, but surpringsly it was the cleanest TRU I had been in out of all 5. The other ones looked like shit, the Dale Mabry store was the worst - rude ass customer service at these TRU's also (Except for Fowler, they were awesome).

The TRU in Saint Petersburg is a bust, employees are hiding EVERYTHING good in the back - went there bright and early to see them taking handfuls of games to the back, and talking amongst each other about how they can't wait to buy them.

TRU in Port Richey really didn't have much of interest, either, but I didn't stay very long because they were closing (who closes at 10 pm two days before christmas, honestly?)

The Fowler one does have pretty awesome service. The Brandon one... I asked the girl if she had any Mario Party 4 or 5s in the case and she asks if it's a Gamecube game. I said yeah and she starts looking at the PSP case, 3 cases down from the Gamecube case. I tried to correct her but ultimately I just wanted to leave.

LOL.

Funny thing, at the Fowler store right before they closed, there was a printout from the CAG forum laying in the clearance bin. They printed 9 pages of the topic about the sale. Guess they really couldnt have just typed/written down the games they wanted, lol.

I'm at the Dale Mabry store, and they have Nanostray out but no Bust A Move, not even a price tag for it. My girlfriend goes to the register, asks for it, and the girl behind the counter starts showing her PS2 games, like Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

I look over, I'm like what the hell, and I say "no, bust a move, Nintendo DS, part of your sale" "Oh, you mean the DS??? Everything we have is out".

"There is no price tag, can you check in the back?" "No, sorry, we are SOOOO busy I just can't do it". No less then 5 seconds later an employee walks out of the back, turns to some old woman, and tells her "Sorry ma'am, I searched the entire stockroom for that game and couldn't find anything, I can call some other stores for you".

I hate that fucking store.

Remember, if anyone is interested, Countryside has lots of Megaman Battle Network 4, it's a pretty decent GBA game for 9.98 and this is the only TRU I saw it at. Our TRU's didn't really have much of anything when it came to some of the harder to find games... I wanted a Racing Gears Advance or a Boktai 2.

If anyone who is local wants to be awesome and hook me up with a copy of Geist on 12/26 (it's going down to 9.98) I can pay you back.

I'm working 8-5 and it'll probably be gone by the time I get off work.

I'm new here. I'll give the lowdown on some of the stores around here.

All Sarasota, FL.

BB - Decent game selection, never anything too rare, but decent game selection.
Circuit City - WAYYYY too overpriced. seems like they are at least 3 months behind the pricing flow.
EB Games (near Panera Bread) - Great store. friendly staff, and best choice of used PSX games in the area. Found Wild Arms 2, Parasite Eve, Castlevania: SOTC there, all pretty cheap. They carry crappy SNES games too.
Turbo Video Games - local store. BLOWS. hard. nothing there worth buying, except maybe an overprice guide, or one of 5 copies of Vegas Strikes for SNES. dont bother.

I think that wraps it up. glad I could help.

Roufus, both the Dale Mabry and Fowler locations had at least 8 Geists when i went there earlier.

The Fowler store also had a few Blood Rayne 2's, Viewtiful Joe 2's, FF 1 & 2, and a couple of other games that didnt really interest me.

The dale mabry store had a bunch of Wrestlemania 21's for Xbox, along with Syphon Filter(PS2), FFT/Syphon Filter for PSX, , and Blood Rayne 2.

Thanks... I'm still debating if I want to get it, even at 9.98 it still dosen't sound appealing. I'm pretty sure the Saint Petersburg store has a ton, but if I want to get it at least I know I have other options, thanks a ton.

Also, to let everyone know, the Best Buy in Saint Petersburg has become assholes about taking the coupons... I've gotten shut down twice now, once on a $5 PSP one, and again on the $10 one.

Cashiers automatically start calling for a manager, which denies the coupon saying it's a photocopy. This store used to be a pushover when it came to this, so I'm giving everyone a heads up. Other stores are still cool, though.

Any walmarts in tampa actually get any 360's in? Every store was supposed to put out at least 12 this morning. The Dale Mabry/Bearss location didnt have any.

Ive tried to call 4 walmarts but no one picks up in the electronics department...

They did down here, I got ALOT of customers in yesterday asking me for them, and when I told them about Wal-Mart alot of them told me about how there were lines outside waiting for them.

*sigh*. No idea where i am on GS's pre-order list (last week i was 129). Tomorrow I plan on heading over to the Countryside/US 19 Gamestops to hoard on their Kuon's. Theres a lot of diff stores in that area, maybe ill have some better luck.

Apparently corporate told the local EB if they had any 360s in the back to sell them (on the first) regardless of how many preorders were left. So my room-mate ended up buying one of the 2 at the University Mall EB.
I don't know the details of what's going on with the 360s at EB only that there were still 15 preorders left unfulfilled at that EB and they had to put out the two in the back.
WHo knows what the fuck these places are thinking.

yea, i apparently chose the wrong place to pre-order at... They always suck me in with their "offers" of "pre-order in full now and guarantee your copy at midnight". Pfft.

I want to get one at Gamerush, as i have $200 in store credit (that cost me $80 ;-) ). But theyre saying they dont expect to get any in til March, and then they have to fill in the pre-orders.

Well, was able to find 2 Kuon's in Clearwater. I passed up the Best Buy on US 19, thinking they wouldnt have any 360s, then i get home and see this on Best Buy's site:

In Stock @:

Brandon FL 116 Grand Regency Blvd, Brandon, FL 33510
Clearwater FL 21415 Us Highway 19 N, Clearwater, FL 33765
Port Richey FL 9409 Us Highway 19, Port Richey, FL 34668-4625
St Petersburg FL 6600 22nd Avenue N, St Petersburg, FL 33710

*kicks himself*

Yea, dont trust the store locator, said this morning that best buy on dale mabry had some in, got there at 9:30, and waited til 10, only to find out when i got in there that they didnt have any afterall >
They also had Narnia, Lost In Blue, Meteos, Nintendogs(tried to buy, but was told it was put on the table by accident), Meteos, Polarium, and Madden 06 for the DS.
None of those games are 9.98 though, except for Polarium?
does any one know any blockbuster that sell used games in west palm beach
Yeah, all Blockbusters sell used games in West Palm Beach... unless you're talking about good used games, which I'm not too sure of the selection, as I haven't been to any Blockbusters in awhile.

Also, if you go to the Palm Beach Mall and check the Gamestop there, they might have some rare PSX games in.
None of those games are 9.98 though, except for Polarium?
Not sure about the others, only tried Nintendogs (sorry it came out a bit hard to understand when i typed the last message). Id imagine that Lost & Blue and Narnia are mistakes, cuz they are fairly new.

I would have fought for that Nintendogs, espically if there were more then one in the bin.

That Dale Mabry store is such trash.

Yea, i wonder if maybe the cashier didnt notice it out there, and just wanted the game for herself...

Went to the fowler store, they didnt get anything decent restocked. 90% of it was Poker games for every system.

Also, to let everyone know, the Best Buy in Saint Petersburg has become assholes about taking the coupons... I've gotten shut down twice now, once on a $5 PSP one, and again on the $10 one.

Roufuss:
How about the Clearwater BestBuy?

The Circuit City at Regency (Jacksonville) has nothing but a bunch of crap in the clearence: I could only find one or two of the games listed in the main forum, and the employee wouldn't give me a price check because there was a sign that said "priced as marked" on the bin.
Roufuss:
How about the Clearwater BestBuy?
I have done numerous coupons there, and the Dale Mabry store in Tampa without a hassle since my incidents in Saint Petersburg.

Went pawnshopping in Tampa today, found a perfect condition + complete Shadow Hearts for ps2 for only $13... alot better then paying the 25 or 30 Gamestop wants for it. Wanted this game forever as well, found it at my lucky pawn shop of choice that always seems to have one thing worth getting.

If anyone wants to get in on a $19.99 A/C Tony Hawk's American Wasteland at Best Buy this week, the Dale Mabry store has TONS of the collector's edition for ps2.
Yea, dont trust the store locator, said this morning that best buy on dale mabry had some in, got there at 9:30, and waited til 10, only to find out when i got in there that they didnt have any afterall >
How much do you want for killzone?
Sry, already sold em all. Got $22 each for em.

If your TRU doesnt have any, try Blockbuster, you can get em used for $13.49 i believe.

So... I'm going to the Wagonwheel flea market tommorrow, once the home of awesome deals (Persona 1 and 2 for $10 bucks a piece? Yes please!), it is now just a shell of what it once was.

Well, let's hope I find something of interest.

Yeah, not much Miami-Ft.Lauderdale-West Palm Beach action goin' on here.

However, I'm in Broward County (Plantation).
Lived in Miami for a little more than a year also.

TRU in Plantation on Broward Blvd- usual plentiful stock during sales (20 unique games for the 9.98 sale I scored)

I'm lucky enough to live right down the street from Sawgrass Mills- my address is actually West Sunrise Boulevard. I think I've been to that Target one time in Ft.Lauderdale last year but didn't find anything at the time. I'll have to head back one of these days. Where are you located Rozz?

Just a notice for flea markets in the tampa area. Dont bother with Big Top. Only two stands selling games, i didnt see the prices on their retro games (NES/SNES/GENESIS), but their ps2/xbox/gc games were overpriced.
