Given the huge number of Florida CAGs on this board now, it seems like a good time to start pooling our knowledge to make the most of our time (and gas!).

I'll get things started...I'll try to keep this updated as new info is posted. If you have any info on Florida stores that you'd like to share, please post it here!

Best Buy
Altamonte Springs (SR 436): still some $10 games as of 9/13; no Y's or Paper Mario [mgreig]
Gainesville (Archer Road): limited stock, bad customer service [Msia]
Lakeland: Layout is strange, but they tend to keep stock during sales. Individual checkout lanes. [kojubat]
Melbourne: unorganized staff [Msia]
Miami (Pembroke Pines): Generally has nothing in stock unless you are lucky and people there don't knw what they are doing. [s3v3n777]
Miami (Hialeah): This is a pretty decent store. One of the original BB in Miami and still has a great selection and relatively good customer service. [s3v3n777]
Miami (Bird Road): I'd say this is the best Best Buy that I know of. Their selection is the best, and the people there are always nice. Usually not that busy and in a pretty quiet little corner. [s3v3n777]

Orlando (Florida Mall): Decent selection, disinterested staff. [kojubat]
Orlando (West Colonial): Good selection, sale games are usually clearly marked and gathered during clearances. Helpful staff. [kojubat]
Orlando (Millenia Mall): Horrible game selection, hardly any shelf space. New store. [kojubat]

Any one with a Rhino might wanna check them out. The Rhino's on 3rd street here in Jax had new games on sale (new = not used). Picked up Death by Degrees for $4.90 and NBA Street V3 for $33

Hmm... If I returned $9.99 Death by Degrees to TRU, would I want it for half the price?...

Thanks for the heads up. I'll try to remember this when I go to 2-for-1 for Chibi Robo.

I went to the Target on Bearrs and Dale Mabry (in Tampa). they had a huge stack of Meteos for the DS for 14.98 (not sure about the change, but it was $14.??) they have them in the case as well as on the clearance end cap. if you know what that is, you know where to look.
they also had a few closeouts of Rumble Roses, NFL Street 2, Viewtiful Joe 2, Airborne Troops. most were around 10 bucks.
enjoy

Thanks for the heads up. Now I don't have to drive to St. Pete to get Meteos.

For anyone that wants Trace Memory for $14.98, the Target on 9th Street North in Saint Petersburg has a huge stack, about 9 copies.

Sounds like a good price. I hope my local Target clearanced them too.

Wow that's cool! Too bad my Target doesn't clearance anything ;_;

Has anyone in Jacksonville seen Meteos or any other DS games on clearance at any of the area Target stores?

I checked the one in Ponte Vedra... it's a no-go.

The St. Johns Town Center Target store in Jax had several Xbox 360s in stock as of this morning. Two or three premium systems and at least one Core system... for anyone who might be looking.

Rhino is currently offering a pretty good deal. if you trade in any two games that are valued at $10 or more, you get a $50 game. if you want a 360 game, you pay the difference. not sure if this has been posted or how long it runs, but i took advantage of it yesterday in the form of NfS: Most Wanted and Condemned (both for 360).
i'll be going back today for more!!

Phoenix Wright at Coral landings GameStop in Palm Harbor had 3 Phoenix Wrights
for 19.99, after card and extra 10% off coupon from GameInformer =17.30

That's a Rhino staple, going on for the several years I've known about the store. Especially with GameRush not having deals, Rhino's a good place to trade-in for new games. Now that you know of their wonderful promo deal, I hope you enjoy and take advantage of it.

Has anyone seen any deals at their GameRush stores? I wonder if Florida will get regional deals like some of the other states are reporting. Given how many GR stores are here I'd be surprised if they didn't do something...

My local store in Orange City is having a $9.99 disc-only special. About 4 large plastic tubs filled with disc-only games for $10 each. Most of the games are crap, but I saw some in there that usually sell for more than $10 used at GR (Custom Robo, RE4 GC, Timesplitters Future Perfect GC, etc)

Anyone else spotted any deals this week at their GR stores?

Havent been to my gamerush in a while, waiting for the supposed 2/18 deal to start. Though according to some district managers at GR, there wont be any national deals, it'll just go by location.

Rhino on Southside Blvd (Jacksonville) had a lot of collector's and clearence items. I picked up a copy of Perfect Dark for $6 and the Pelican Retro Gamecube Controller for $3. Collector's wise, they had Chrono Trigger for $50 (yikes!), Mega Man 2 for $10, Mega Man 3 for $10, Final Fantasy for $15, and a few other select NES games. They had a copy of Guitar Hero and at least four Resident Evil Chainsaw controllers regularly priced, but they're hard to come around in Jacksonville at the moment.
I also spotted a used copy of Mega Man X Collection on Gamecube for $24.99.

EB across the street from there will be getting three Xbox 360 Core systems sometime this week. The people who pre-ordered want to wait for the premiums, so they're going on the floor.

I can't believe Xbox 360 pre-orders are still unfulfilled. Anyways has anyone in the Jacksonville area bothered to check out the Sam Goody at the Landing thats going to close down according to that list? I wonder if they have anything good video game related, so I don't waste gas going all the way out to downtown.

I haven't been down there in the past six months or so, but last time I was there, they had almost no gaming section. If I remember correctly, they only had consoles: no games at all!

The tables have turned. They have no systems, bunch of accessories and a hella lotta older games, sans the 360 games. They had NFS MW 360 tempting for ~$42

I was there last weekend, they have 15% off of Video Games. Nothing worth my time.

[quote name='sying']Any CAGs here other than me and Whippy? Jacksonville seems kinda bare in terms of CAGers, more FWers for sure[/QUOTE]

I'm in Jacksonville too ! Have scored lots of great deals thanks to CAG. Will be glad to help out fellow CAGers in he area if I can !

[quote name='Roufuss']Is there any CAG's in Sarasota?

Wondering if that closing TRU there has any deals to be found.[/QUOTE]
I'm driving down to Naples next Saturday. It doesn't seem to be that far out of the way from 75 (about 15 minutes). If nobody speaks up, I can swing by on my way through.

Anyone in the Tampa Bay area want a ton of old GameInformer, EGM, Nintendo Power, Maxim and Blender magazines from the last year? Totally free for pick-up! They'd be way too heavy to mail so I won't bother.

I have about a year's worth of each I was just going to toss in the recycling bin unless someone wants them. I kind of hate tossing old magazines, but have no more room for them.

Game Force at Regency (Jacksonville) has a copy of Final Fantasy II on SNES for $20! Regularly sells on eBay for $60+. Unfortunately, I bought a Sega Saturn there instead. If anyone in the Jacksonville area knows of a good place to find Saturn games (read: NiGHTs) I'd be very appreciative.

Rhinos use to be a great place to find Saturn games, I actually found two copies of Dragon Force at the 3rd Street location. Though they have since stopped carrying Saturn games.

Have you tried the Game Force on San Pablo and Beach? Not sure if they still carry Saturn games but its worth a call.

I went there today and found a few good deals waiting to be taken advantage of. At the EBX, they have a number of .99 game guides on the rack in the back. (of note were Stubbs the Zombie, one of the newer Tony Hawk games, and a few more).
Right next door at Sam Goody, as i'm sure you already know, it's 30% off all games. check it out!!!

Are you talking about Internatonal Plaza in Tampa? If so, I have to check that out!

sorry about that, i put the location in the title. yes, it's the International Plaza in Tampa.
On a separate note, have any of you CAGers played the Arena Football game? How is it? i can't find it anywhere now.
also, how many of you are USF students? let me know

I'm a graduate student at USF. I go to both the Tampa and St. Petersburg campuses.

Haven't played the Arena Football game, but see it almost everywhere. Waiting for it to get dirt cheap like all EA Sports games do eventually. I have the old Arena Football game, Kurt Warner's Arena Football Unleashed on PSone though! *lol* Tampa Bay is one of the few markets that has a huge Arena League following thanks to the Storm!

I stopped there on Saturday. Other than the usual 50 million copies of GBA poker and dance pads, there wasn't much to be found. I did pick up a 360 memory card at 70% off, and there was at least one left. Also a few of the official faceplates. Otherwise, most of the other accessories were the off-brand bundles for each system and travel cases.

Game-wise the percentage is 40% off, but I didn't see much. I picked up a copy of Psychonauts for Xbox, and there were a few other copies. The selection was fairly limited, but not completely picked over. I didn't see anything else that made me say "wow, I better get that!"

If anyone is interested -

The Sears in Saint Petersburg, FL has alot of the clearance titles listed in the thread. No Suffering: Ties That Bind, no DQ 8, I bought the last Castlevania: Curse of Darkness for ps2.

2 x Warioware Twisted
2 x The Warriors (xbox)
2 x Virtua Tennis for PSP (9.97 is a steal for this game)
4 x Castlevania: Curse of Darkness for Xbox
5 or 6 x Ninja Gaiden Black

And a whole mess of other games, minus the ones I listed up above.

[quote name='darth007']At the Orange Park Mall Sears theres an Ico for $20 in their bin full of crappy games.[/quote]

ICO was on clearance for 9.99 at the Sears in Brandon. I'd do a price check on those ICOs and see what they come up to.

Does anyone know any CC's in the Tampa Bay area with some good clearance games? I'm looking for...

Primal
Drakengard
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1

All for ps2... I know some stores that have Primal, not sure about the other two, and I know there are some people here that hit up CC like crazy.

i'm pretty sure that the CC in New Tampa on BBDowns BLVD has Primal. Not too sure about the others. i haven't dug through the clearance bin for about 3 weeks, but i know it was there during my last few searchs

If anyone is looking for some Gamer Gift Cards at Best Buy (the ones with the $5 off coupon) the Best Buy on Dale Mabry in Tampa has STACKS of them... I counted at least 200 of them, easy, right were the budget PC games are.

The best part is, they let you put 1 cent on each one... I grabbed 4 of them, paid 4 cents, and now have some spare GGC's.

Just make sure to grab the BLUE ones, those are good until 2007, they have a ton of the green ones which are expired.

I work at EA Tiburon, we tested that game. It's pretty fun, but I get it for like $20. I get every game for $20 or less... Every EA game that is. And I get to play games that aren't gonna be out for a looong time (Superman ) but shhhh

i finally picked up arena football and i can say that it's not for everyone. as far as an arcade-y football game, i GUESS it's fun. just about every pass you throw is a touchdown. that got old during the first game i played. i just don't really like that you can't have an effective run game.
i'm going to trade it in and give Blitz: The League a try. have heard mixed results about that one.
tell me, should i get that or stick to madden?
sure wish the 2K was still around!!

I helped someone get a job at Tiburon, it wasn't you was it?

I got a question about that. I know about the employee game store like you mentioned, but is there a limit to how many games you can buy? I could see myself buying 10 copies and selling them on eBay for $35-$40 as a little side business to make up for them only paying $7/hour at the start. :D

Just out of curiosity, does anyone here know of a place where I could get some soldering work done? Or maybe one of the members in the Orlando area who knows how to solder would do something for me? I would definitely appreciate any info.

Jacksonville CAGs: Just went to go pick up my MGS Saga Vol. 1 DVD from Gamestop at Regency, and they have one left for anyone who wants to walk-in and pre-order Subsistance. They also still have some Limited Editions available for pre-order.

FYE at the other end of the mall has a bunch of cards for the GBA e-Reader marked down to $0.01 a piece. I picked up all the games in the e-Reader collection for less than a quarter.

Sorry to double post, but if anyone in the Jacksonville area sees a copy of Phoenix Wright, please do share! It looks like there really was a restock this week.
