FORZA Motorsport 2 - Gen Discussion - March Pack Due 3/19 - 400pts - 13 New Cars!

So was there an actual collector's version of the game? I am curious because I thought Gamestop had a collector's edition of the game but I am not seeing it now.
 
Thanks for the hands on impressions SteveMcQ! Anyone care to comment? I'm on the fence about pickign this up tomorrow after work. Well i'm paritaly over the fence already :D Post some more thoughts people!

The CE was only for Europe.
 
Anyone else not able to find any auctions in the auction house? I tried searching for auctions with "any" selected in every search category and I still am getting no results. I also can't watch any races on F.M. TV.

Other than these minor issues I'm having a blast with the game so far. I find it to be so much more fun with all the assists off and having it on manual transmission. I only leave the braking line on for now, hopefully when i learn the tracks better I can take that off too.

Hopefully the auction house doesn't end up like test drive's. I rented the game a good month or 2 after it was out and the auction house was still never up and running. I kept it for a few weeks after that and it was still never up and functional. I assume it is working now, but I wouldn't know.

My ford focus takes pretty good corners at 35. :)

What kind of corner are you talking about here? 'Cause 40 might not sound fast, but in a production car, 40 tearing around a street corner = wreck.
 
I'm gonna head to wal-mart and see if they have this out yet. Mine normally doesn't get new games till thursday, but I'll check anyways since I have to go.
 
Looks like the auction house is back up now. I finally got to check it out and I have to say it seems pretty sweet. I like the fact that the majority of the auctions are using the "buy it now" option. I hope this will be the norm since you can't actually set how much you bid.

Cool Cool. Yea i'm mos def getting this game after work today. I need a good racing sim. I heart Forza so i'm for sure gonna like 2 as well.

anyway, yesterday when i took photos, they would save to my gallery on my xbox, but they would not upload to fm.net...anyone else having this problem?

and i'm currently level 8 with a level 2 nissan silvia...i customized it and it's looking pretty fly (no decals though cuz i suck at those)

pimp, you should definitely get the game...this game rocks!

EDIT: got it to upload today..i guess something was just wrong with it last night

definitely rent it if you're on the edge since the demo doesnt do the game justice

i played the dirt demo and thought it was okay..graphics were good but the gameplay was "okay" to me...

Yea I thought DiRT was alright also. Graphics looked slick as hell. The werid thing about DiRT was that I was expecting a Dirt Race Course. I thought all Colin MacRae games where about Dirt racing. Hence the name.

It does have dirt race courses. There's 2 different tracks on the demo, dirt and pavement.
 
Hey anyone who has the game. I originally had it pre-ordered, and then decided to not buy. Anyhow.... Amazon sent me the pre-ordered code for the Nissan Fairlady Z. Send me a private message someone and you'll get it. Just trying to help out someone without it.

The 350Z doesn't have any decals...yet. But it is a Class S 901! :D AWD with Skyline engine + tons of other parts...freakin' beast


Here is the RX7 I started the game with. On one side it says RX7, and on the other, I made a custom checkered flag decal to fit the car. This is my first attempt at making a car with custom decals!

you have to go to your picture page on forza.net and save the picture onto your computer and then upload it through imageshack or any other uploading site.

All I need to do is to pass Calculus II and I'm home free, and this class ain't fun.
 
:drool: Once I got the muscle cars in Forza I don't think I drove anything else after that. Supposed to be getting my Xbox back tommorrow...can't wait to play this.

I'm gonna do some more customizing to it later tonight when I get home. I want to some create a gun firing possibly below where it says hitman, on the other side it has like a sword slash with a blood drop coming off it.

I was looking at that car earlier trying to figure out what was on the other side.
 
I made a Seven up car, if anyone cares. The other side reads "7 UP YOURS" with a big Red number & on the roof and hood.



I need to fix that area, where the windshield begins...

Think I should auction this one off?

You really need to be creative.....I'm not really good at it either but with a bit of practice you should be alright. You use Boxes and Circles but layering them on top of each other. You bend them how you want it and keep placing on top until you create a Letter or Number or whatever. Play around with it.
 
I really wish that the whole XBLM concept of user created content to sell on XBLM would have worked out by selling stuff for MS Points.

I so want to get this game based on the designing options alone but i'm horrible at racing sims that I have to pass.

you can use the driving line. Tells you when to gas it when to idle and when to brake, all you have to do is turn. :)

Oh and wait until you see new pics of how I modified the hitman mustang, gave it a new white color, am in the process of drawing in a gun and will add some more tweaks, pics later tonight.
