This E-mail is in regard to the USB promotional item give away. As you may or may not be aware the promotional item give away official stopped taking requests several weeks ago.
While this does not affect your account, it is important that you know the circumstances that lead to the cancelation on the promotional give away; and how it will affect you receipt of any promotional items.
Three major factors have affected the ability of our company to offer the promotional items:
1) A significant increase in the cost of the promotional item from our current supplier
2) The change in the price of the cost per item caused the software company we sought sponsorship from, to initial seek to pull out of the sponsorship ship agreement*
3) Accusations that the software itself was being promoted through the use of spyware/Trojan houses
At this time we are attempting to find a solution that is advantageous to both our company and the users of our site. At this time we are looking into several possible solutions, including offering gift certificates.
We hope to have this issue solved within the next week and ask for patience and understand at this time. We are open to any suggestions from our members.
*The USB drivers where originally supposed to contain a trail piece of software, which was a combination anti-spyware/anti-virus program.
