some guy earlier said he got multiple.

i know i did have a missed delivery from fedex though. the next day i got a package but it was some stuff from my job.

when the fedex guy left my gf's package he banged the door once and left it on the doorstep. luckily i was home to hear it and then go to the door and get it off the floor. i thought they were suppose to redeliver or leave some sort of notice at your door/mailbox. i have a very sneaking suspicion that he did the same thing with my usb stick and one of my neighbors may have snagged the package.


anyone know how fedex is SUPPOSE to handle these things? i live in an apartment complex and was a bit upset at a being left a package at my doorstep with no notification.

It varies from driver to driver. Both UPS and Fedex have their drivers use their own discretion when deciding to leave a package. They can either leave a note for redelivery it they think it has a high chance of being stolen or leave it if they think it'll be fine. They never leave any sort of notification if the package was just dropped off since they expect people to use tracking for that.
 
Just got mine a little while ago. I can't believe how small it is and afraid to lose it! I'll have to find a chain to put it on.

Anyway, I thought we already decided that where/when they ship it is completely random. I mean, geez, someone said that their girlfriend, who lives at the exact same location as themselves, already got theirs and they didn't.

Still nothing on my end, and as you can see, I live in Indiana. Others who live nearby or further to the east seem to have already gotten theirs, too, so I'm sure they didn't ship them all together.

Mine just arrived (woodbridge, virginia). People kept saying it's small and I expected it to be like half the size of those SanDisk ones with the black plastic everyone's familiar with. It's no bigger than the first joint of my thumb and there's no plastic casing around it.
 
Still have not got mine yet. Hopefully it will come soon. My name does start with a v if thats how they determine the order for shipment.
 
all though free, be careful, I've long since received mine and now I have no clue where the actual usb part has gone, all i got left is the metal housing.

I got mine a few days ago and all it is is a metal housing. Nothing else. The actual USB part is missing. No joke it is missing. I even took a small light and shined in it to see what was wrong and nothing is there. Kingston basically sent me and a few others on here a KEYCHAIN! ??? You would figure is Kingston wanted to celebrate 25 years they would make something that actually worked. I am calling customer service. Lol. End of rant.

So it's hollow? You don't see 4 copper contact points on a strip of black plastic inside?

Mine is hollow. There is nothing in it. Just a metal case. I took Information Technology and Computers/Engineering in High School so I know what to look for. I couldnt believe it myself either.
 
Just because others have mentioned it, I thought I would mention it. I've had mine for a couple weeks and the first couple times I used it, it was fine. High speed and cool design, I loved it. However, half of the insides mysteriously vanished. I don't see them sticking in my USB hubs anywhere so I'm wondering if they didn't actually get pushed back inside the shell. It's too bad, Kingston almost had something there. I'm not too worried since it was free anyway but it is a shame. Just a warning, be careful.
 
so i got my usb stick finally. i thought a neighbor had swiped it but no, the managment of my apartment complex had it and forgot to tell me about it. said it had been there for a week or 2
 
Got mine finally I had a hell of a time figuring this one out I hadn't seen a usb stick that literally had no usb part sticking out I kept thinking do I slide it out no the whole thing is just a usb stick.

Tried it in my 360 and it meets all performance speed ratings for it so it must be a pretty fat little usb.
