You can get the Rock Band game and the GHIII bundle, and use your GHIII guitar to play both the GHIII and Rock Band games.

For this reason, you should not waste credits on the shoddy Rock Band guitar.

The newer versions of the Rock Band guitars are much more reliable, so try to keep the flaming to a minimum. As a guitarist, I personally like the feel of the Rock Band guitar better since it does a fair job reproducing the feel of an actual Stratocaster. For one thing, the neck is thinner, which is beneficial to people with smaller hands. Add this to the glossy finish, and it provides better playability.

The strumbar does not "click" like the GH guitars, but I actually like how it only needs to be flicked/plucked, and actually has resistance. The second set of buttons also becomes very useful on songs with harder solos, so you can execute hammer-ons and pull-offs. It's not a perfect guitar controller by any means, but it's not like the GH3 controller is without fault (detachable neck anybody?).
 
Not saying that I would do this (;)), but if you had an IP changer that automatically changed your IP every few minutes... would you be able to make multiple accounts?

After they called me for the 4th time, I told them to take me off their list. They said "Okay" and hung up. No calls since! Still watching my statement to make sure nothing happens. I actually tried to buy it but it wouldn't accept my CC for some reason.

I used 2 different CCs to sign up for these (Chuck Mullaney and Google SEO) within a couple days of each other. When I called to cancel, the guy on the phone pulled up both accounts under my name and I told him to just cancel both while he was at it. He actually suggested it before I even told him I was going to cancel. "Do you want me to just cancel both of them?" :D
 
This is the first time Ive done this kind of thing - hopefully it will work out.

can anyone tell me the right time to cancel these? i have gotten credit for all of them and placed my 2 orders (gh3 and cod4)

I signed up for stamps.com and the disney thing tonight and didn't get an "instant" credit for either one...

the disney thing i didnt even get an email yet, but lets say i get one tomorrow and the credit doesnt get. i need to cancel it ASAP right? but what happens if i cancel it before im credited? i cant ask for a MCR

And whats stamps' deal? I went for it, dl the software and installed it and no credit. stamps i guess is ok cuz its free (gonna cancel it on day 20 or so)

is this normal?
 
Woo! GH2 was dropped off yesterday at my apartment's office, got to pick it up just now.

Still waiting on Naruto though, which shipped the same day as GH2.

just got my GHII!!!!!! now waiting on GH3 (ordered 1/1) and scene it (ordered yesterday) and still have to file 3 MCR's

whoa soon as i typed this i get an e-mail of offer completion for Grant Consultant.. that just leaves Bargin.com & Disney...

Quick question, I decided to cancel Disney as soon as I got my e-mail (about 24 hrs later) but should i still file an MCR? anyone in a similar situation do this?
 
Sigh, it's been two days since I did Blockbuster, and no credit. Grr! Looks like I may be waiting 7 days to file a report and whatnot.
 
OK, I'm in a hell of a situation here. I signed up for Bargain.com but did not get a charge on my card from them, nor did I get a confirmation e-mail. Just to be safe, I called them up and they said they couldn't find me in their database...so I just figured it didn't go through and forgot about it. Big mistake since I recieved a $20 charge from Bargain a week later. I can't log in to that site since I don't think I ever got a username/pass (my usual one I use for everything does not work). I did the lost password thing by entering my e-mail address. It says the password was sent, but I still haven't recieved anything. Also, when I go to the cancellation page, I get this BS:

Call the number and explain the situation? I don't think there's anything else you can do.
 
Yeah so no GameFly credit yet, but the 7 days is almost up so obviously an MCR for me there.

And a quick question, what type of shipping do they use and how fast? I'm way behind everyone I know in CoD4 so I wanna get that as soon as possible.

Woo! Just got my free Mass Effect yesterday. Too bad my 360 is in the process of getting fixed.

One question, does Netflix really take 22 days or whatever it says to credit?

If the game is coming from Amazon (99% of their games do) its going to come 1st or 2nd day air, most likely 2nd, via UPS. I've not had any games come any other way.

Do not take the shipping email as concrete evidence that the game has shipped either. Only once (out of about 9 times now) have I had a game arrive 2 days after the shipped email. Most of the times it's a 3-5 day wait from the shipped email. I've had to wait 8 days once, but they always are sent 1st or 2nd day air. 1st day seems to be when they know they're shipping late, but 2nd is pretty much the standard. What's funny is I live within about 200 miles from an Amazon warehouse and you can check the receipt to see when they put the order in. Rarely does it go in on the day I get the shipped email, most of the time its a day or 2 after. I think when shipped emails are sent, your order just goes on a "to do" list and it goes out on the next shipping day (which varies every week).
 
I'm really annoyed with this site right now...#1: Ordered GH3 11/29, got it changed to a gift card 12/20, the gift card shipped 12/21, after 7days and no gift card i emailed and put in a support ticket to see if there was a problem, then i got a response 7 days after i sent it saying: "...Please allow us to look into this further and a representative will be in contact with you in the next 1-2 days with additional information." Its been 7 days since i got that and i havent heard from them again nor did i get a gift card in the mail. #2:I put in an MCR for Bargain.com 12/22 and it hasnt gone through yet.

sorry for the rant but its been 3 weeks since my gift card shipped out, and it takes forever to get a response about it...i dont care about the MCR as much because im not in a huge hurry to order anything else...if anybody has any suggestions on how to get this resolved any faster feel free to let me know
 
Just a tip - when you have problems like that DONT OPEN A SUPPORT TICKET. Support tickets take entirely too long to answer at times, and your wait was caused by the holiday most likely. I rarely open support tickets unless it's something minor or something I don't mind waiting on (usually checkups on MCRs, but shipping/order issues I rarely do).

Next time email them directly, just be sure to include your acct info (email on the acct, name/addy etc and order # if available) you'll get a much quicker response most of the time emailing them. [email protected]

thats what i always do, i ended up opening a support ticked two days after i sent the email just to see which one i got a response first...both got a response the same day saying the same thing...i understand the holiday being a delay for the first email i sent but i dont see a reason for sending an email saying that a rep. will be in contact with you in 1-2 days but i dont hear anything for a week or more...this is a really good site, but im just having problems with it right now

youre lucky.. i still havent received the assassins creed that i ordered on the 19th of december. it shipped on december 29th and its still not here.

Also, I tried to sign up for Bargain.com, but I get taken to the same exact signup as the Yahoo Success Center.

Pre-paid cards are a no-no.
 
Does anybody here know if you have a limited time to apply the 12 month Live card to an account? I don't own a 360 yet, but I'm going to get one in the next couple months, and I was thinking of grabbing a card from this site. I just don't want it to expire on me.

They are usually good for a while.
 
Still no Blockbuster credit. Looks like a 7 day wait is in store. Well, they don't have GHIII in stock anyway, so waiting won't affect anything. :/
 
I filled out the form for the disney thing late late thursday night (so its been about 36 hours) and NO confirmation email whatsoever, nor did I get credited. wtf do I do?

Also, stamps.com didn't credit either, so i guess i can try this MCR thing i read about on the first page

I'm in the same boat as you. Dr. Seus never sent any emails (i've called twice and both times they assure me they will send it out and never do) and for some reason I'm the only person that didn't get instant credit for Chuck teaches Ebay and all they sent was a cancelation confirmation email (again asked to send a email saying I had signed up for the program and they never did)

Has anyone been able to credit by showing the cancelation email as proof of membership. I've sent an email on updates for MCR and asked them If I could submit a concelation email as proof, just curious if others have attempted this.

Call Scholastic. I filled out the form on Monday 1/7/08 and didn't receive an e-mail either (waited until Thursday). I called them up and their records showed that I didn't even order it...

12 Month Live cards usually expire in 2020.

I just bought one and it says on the back "the subscription card must be redeemed by 6/30/2009."

But the original Xbox Live cards still work so I don't think the codes really expire.
 
woot! ordered GH3! Who knows how long itll take but for 10 bucks if it takes a few weeks who cares!

i actually tried 4 offers although only 2 registered so if i do some MCRs ill nab something else

if it says it will ship on the 19, what are the odds? obviously they're backlogged from christmas but do u think its back to normal yet or will it be a month before i see the stuff?

i filed mine december 14th and it credited on the 31st.
 
Ok, well I got my Bargain network account cancelled. Only problem is that I never recieved a single e-mail from them. It also didn't credit, of course. So, is it impossible to get any credit it from them now?
