In the list it will just say Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion but check your DLC tab and see if there is anything there.

19.99$ for the same thing.

The price of the Beth bundle ,27.32 evens out to about 2.5$ per game.

Even then, I think that if you think it's only worth ~4 or 5$ just because of a pricing error. That's absurd.

In that case, hey anyone got a Far Cry 3 key they'd sell me for 2.66$? (Since it was sold in a bundle for all 3 games for 8$ by gamestop with a pricing error last week)
Supply and demand. It's not worth that little because of the pricing error, it's because a lot of CAGs got in it and have a surplus of keys to sell. You can't really just average out the price per game according to that bundle. Dishonored pretty much throws that logic out the window considering the MSRP for it and how recent it is. That'd be like taking a bundle with Brink and Dishonored that costs $60 and saying it averages out to $30 per game.

@motoki yup i do have it thanks for the tip!!!

and eff it i just activated new vegas UE, and im pretty sure kids out there wont trade for it as its value since the glitch happend and didnt have any of the dlc for it

edit: and it being a key its going to be a hassle to trade, ill save the trouble and enjoy the game

19.99$ for the same thing. (And people are buying it too. It's the 68th best selling game on Steam right now)

Error or not, the game is 75 percent off all the time and Steamworks. Add to that the fact it is a key, and you're unlikely to find anyone that values it any higher than 10 dollars. Most traded games tend to trade around their sale values, unless it has been ages since a sale.
Supply and demand. It's not worth that little because of the pricing error, it's because a lot of CAGs got in it and have a surplus of keys to sell.
This. I know there are a lot of CAGers who think they can triple their money on that Bethesda pack but that just isn't going to happen especially if... surprise... you try to sell your keys on CAG.

People can cite Steam prices all they want but the reality is no one is going to offer $20 for a New Vegas GOTY key. It's regularly been $10 on sale and if you want to move your fast versus the dozens upon dozens of other people that grabbed the deal and are trying to sell their keys, you'll have to price it even more competitively.

It's like people trying to get $2.50 for Rogue Warrior. Doesn't matter what the Steam price is, it's a horrible game that anyone who puts in two minutes worth of research time can find out. Arguably not even worth $1. Same with Brink. I'm mildly tempted to check it out for $1-2 but people keep trying to sell the keys for $5-6. If they can find people to buy it for that, more power to them, but I have the feeling there's going to be a lot of excess keys for these games floating around for quite a while.

Re: My opinions on the respective DLC. I'm sure I'm an outlier because I was never a huge fan of these games given the Gamebryo engine and overall design. I played most of the FO3 DLC and found it utterly forgettable. Never tried the New Vegas DLC because I didn't even bother exploring all of the locations in the main game and never really felt the desire to go back and do so.
I don't think Steam even sells a straight up Vanilla Oblivion. AFAIK any version they sell has Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles. The only difference is one version has the little DLC like horsey armor and forts and crap like that while the other one doesn't.

Anyway, I think the one GG sells doesn't have the horsey armor.
Yeah, Gamersgate only sells the Steam-versions.

For Steam-versions, Steam has for Oblivion two different versions - Oblivion GOTY (Regular) and Oblivion GOTY Deluxe Edition.
Oblivion GOTY (Regular) = Oblivion (base game) + Shiv Isles (expansion) + KOTN DLC.
Oblivion GOTY Deluxe = Oblivion (base game) + Shiv Isles (expansion) + KOTN DLC + the other 8 DLC's

The other 8 DLC's are:
Fighter's Stronghold Expansion
Spell Tome Treasures
Vile Lair
Mehrune's Razor
The Thieves Den
Wizard's Tower
Orrery
Horse Armor Pack

For New Vegas though some of the DLC is really good, particularly Old World Blues so I would go for it.

Not like you spent a lot on that pack anyway. :p
Oh, yes - Old World Blues is probably one of, if not, THE BEST DLC that I've ever played.
The other DLC's are pretty good, as well.

JE Sawyer (Project Director on FO: New Vegas) has his own Hardcore Mod.
You'll need FO: New Vegas Ultimate Edition (FO: New Vegas + ALL 4 content DLC's + 2 items pack DLC's) to run that Mod.
Need your opinions,

so i bought the bethesda pack,

i already have new vegas and oblivion in my library,

should i activate the oblivion GOTYED and new vegas UE just for the sake of the DLC's?

or should i just save the keys and trade them for other games?

cant decide...
I would keep and use the New Vegas key if I were you.

As for Oblivion, back during the Summer sale I bought Oblivion GOTY Deluxe because it was only $1.25 more than the regular GOTY. I'm not sure I would have paid the extra if it were more than $1.25. If I had only bought the regular GOTY, I probably wouldn't use the key. Especially if I could get $3 or $4 for it. So I guess my recommendation depends on how much you can get for the key.

It's worth noting though that the market for these keys (especially Oblivion) is fairly flooded right now. I wouldn't expect to get too much for them. With Oblivion in particular, getting $3 might be pushing it. It's only gonna get worse once the vast majority of the people get their keys in January. So if you're gonna sell, sell quick. Or be prepared to only get a buck or two or to wait six months to sell it for more than that.

Oh MSRP? the FNVUE MSRP is much higher than 19$ too you know
Supply and demand just dosen't = what people want on CAG. This is a minority market. There's an entire world out there with people who would see 10$ for brand new FONVUE as a great deal. If they didn't, they would never have boughten it for slightly more than that on steam when it's on sale.

If you were looking for a game like that and you pass up on someone selling it for a great price just because they got it in a cheap bundle then you are silly and you are offended that they are trying to sell something they don't want out of it for a good price to someone just looking for that one game. Then you really are a Cheap Ass Gamer.

FWIW I had no trouble selling my two New Vegases for $5 but Oblivion at $4 had no takers. I suppose I could go down further on it but I might just give it away to people.

Even the Stardock stuff I had a way easier time selling than Oblivion.

The problem is if you are selling on CAGs people are going to be, wait for it, cheap!

I know there's a whole other world other there but the problem is finding those people and doing it in a place that won't get you in trouble. Steam frowns upon people selling keys so not a good idea to do it there. Anywhere else who even knows what sort of people you are dealing with. Not worth the hassle to me. Plus Anyone who knows about Steam sales knows that New Vegas has been $5 multiple times. To ask any more than that is really pushing it unless you find someone really impatient or take advantage of someone else's ignorance, which I personally don't feel right doing.

I don't mind making a little profit on the Bethesda pack at least to cover my cost and then some for the games I am keeping but I'm not going to go overboard with it either.

Okay, have fun sifting through the internet trying to huck those keys on Steam or whatever other trading site.

That's crazy - Oblivion's great.
I spent over 120+ hours EASILY w/ that game + all of its DLC's and expansions...

Then go sell it somewhere else. Problem solved.

Saying it's worth so little just because it's not such a new game and someone got it cheap and is trying to sell it for a decent price is like complaining that a retailer is selling a game for 20$ new but they only paid 5$ wholesale for each copy.

Blah blah blah... the keys are worth what someone is willing to pay for them. There's also the opportunity/sanity cost of milling about a dozen forums trying to squeeze an extra $5 out of a sale.

I got the Bethesda bundle, but I got it as a gift bundle. I gifted it to myself, but under my games it only shows the bundle, but no games listed underneath. Anyone else run into this? I know the keys arent available yet but I'd feel better about waiting for them if I could actually see the games that I'm waiting for listed...
IFrankly, I'd probably keep the Oblivion key But that's just because I'm kinda obsessed with getting as much extra content for my games as I can. I probably wouldn't pay more than $5 to get that extra content if I had the two options.

Son of a bitch, you're kidding? I bought Oblivion GOTY Deluxe during the Summer sale, but it's still sitting in my inventory. When I bought the Bethesda pack the other day, I thought it was the Deluxe version. So I figured that I'd use the key from the pack because if I'm gonna sell an extra copy, an inventory copy is more valuable than a key.

Now I'm stuck with the regular GOTY? I would have sold the key instead if I knew. I want my damn horsey armor! I paid that extra $1.25 for it. :(

Who cares if I basically got Dishonored for free after selling off some extras form the pack. I want my damn Horsey armor!
This. I know there are a lot of CAGers who think they can triple their money on that Bethesda pack but that just isn't going to happen especially if... surprise... you try to sell your keys on CAG.
From what I've seen, you could easily double your money, give or take a few dollars. Tripling? Maybe if you were very lucky or went outside of regular Steam-trading holes.
FWIW I had no trouble selling my two New Vegases for $5 but Oblivion at $4 had no takers. I suppose I could go down further on it but I might just give it away to people.
Same here. FO:NV was the easiest to sell (at $5), while Morrowind and Oblivion were the last to sell (I was offering them for $3.25/$3.5 in the end IIRC.)
Brink at $2.5 was an easy sale, and I kept Hunted and that other game that I always forget the name of (that everyone says sucks.)
Now I'm stuck with the regular GOTY? I would have sold the key instead if I knew. I want my damn horsey armor! I paid that extra $1.25 for it. :(
GamersGate advertised it as the GOTY Deluxe edition, and my (Steam-bought) Deluxe edition only shows GOTY under DLC.

That damned horse armor was the butt of so many jokes for so long. That got so much flak for that even Bethesda eventually admitted it was silly.

If it makes you feel any better, there are some modder made ones that look just as good or better than the Bethesda horse armor. Some people recreated it while others made improved versions.

Also DLC Quest has horse armor and you might already have that from the Indie Royale St Patrick's Day bundle. :p

Except in this case there's a hundred other mom and pop shops already selling it for around five. And even the big box retailers frequently discount it to 7.50-10 dollars.

The people willing to buy it for 40 percent off in a Steam sale are likely not the same target audience you'll find on a trading website that allows deals in keys. The only way you're likely to come into contact with someone that A.) wants a key, B.) willing to pay you paypal, is through means that will likely expose them to the other people trying to unload the game for cheaper.

If you're jumping into FONV, grab these mods. The first really updates the game and adds a lot to the game without changing it (adds visor view for certain helmets, adds a sprint function, etc), and the second completely fills out Bethesda's afterthought of a weapon modding system.

Project Nevada (This is also fully mix and match along with preferences that you can change yourself, so if you don't want everything the mod offers, you can choose.)
Weapon Mods Expanded (This adds three mods to EVERY weapon in the game, including unique weapons that usually don't allow you to mod them. Not game breaking at all, either.)

It's also worth using these graphics mods if you have a powerful system. The texture pack is absolutely incredible; I haven't seem a more complete and high quality texture replacer in a game in my life. The ENB mod really destroys any graphical age the game has, too. It's pretty heavy on your system though (especially with depth of field enabled), so you may have to play with it to get a good FPS.

NMC's Texture Pack (7+ GB, just a warning)
Trillville's ENB (I use this one, and it has some funny effects in certain lighting, but looks outstanding otherwise.)
Xilandro's ENB (I haven't tried this one, but it looks AMAZING. You might have to figure out another mod, Project Reality, to make it work though.)

Um.

I bought a game there just now and Steam told me I got a duplicate product key. I tried contacting support but the site just went down. Help? D:

So you're telling me there's still hope?

I'm gonna install that sucker and check. How will I know if I got Deluxe? Is there anything in the first 5-10 minutes of the game that would tip me off that it's the Deluxe version?

Yeah I think I bought that indie Royale. So that will be some small comfort to me. :(

I think there's an orc with Lynda Carter's voice (no really!) in a Stable outside the capitol city that sells horsey armor.

Actually, I think you should probably have .esp files for it in the launcher. Also it's probably listed in the Steam DLC tab I would imagine.

FYI, I got the deluxe version a long time ago, and it says it's the GOTY version. So it probably doesn't make a difference what the DLC tab says.

I sold my Bethesda bundle for $29. I was a fool, A FOOLISH FOOL! I COULD'VE HAD A CAG OVER A BARREL AND SQUEALING LIKE A PIG AND I DIDN'T!

Also apparently the trick to determining if your Oblivion on Steam is the deluxe or not (Without installing and looking for horse armor manually) is if you have the "Oblivion game of the year" DLC. Since Oblivion was always sold as GotY on Steam, this additional DLC listing is what you get from the deluxe edition. Supposedly. So I heard tell.

I know most of you Steam veterans didn't spend much this sale, but I've already spent more this sale than summer+autumn sales combined. Though RGP Maker was about 40% of it.

Hmm... I didn't think there was much interest in making those.

It's still sitting in my gift inventory. So I guess I'm constipated.

Edit: Damn, I must be tired. I didn't even post in the right thread.

I gotta wager it's another glitch. At least, given how stingy the season pass discounts have been so far I can't imagine that's an intended price for it.

BL2 is a buy. Glitch or not, I don't think I've seen it for less than $20-$25 anywhere else all season.

Hahaha... site is running like shit. How many damn people are up camping this thing at this hour? I'm only awake because I've been sick and slept all day.

Yeah, I grabbed one quick for my bf so he can play with me. Already got the game free from the graphics card I bought recently for my new build.

It's almost a shame that I can't get in on this because I already own Borderlands 2. :(

But then I think about how I only paid $4 for my copy, and I quickly recover.
