Current Sales Deals

All Playstation 1 games $2 (both used & new)

GR is clearing out their stock of Playstation one games for $2 a piece. Get them while they last.

DEAD: Ended 8/7/06 Trade 3 or More Games & Get an Extra $5 for Each Game

Receive an extra $5 PER GAME when you trade in 3 or more games. Games must have a used price of $7.99 or more to qualify for the extra $5. Also, 2005 and 2k5 sports games and newer WILL count for the bonus.

The employee must adjust the trade-in price of the games manually, but there is an option in the computer specifically set up for this deal. It is option #2 and will say something along the lines of "Trade 3 or More Games & Get an Extra $5 for Each Game". The employee must do this for each of the games that qualify.

75% off Select New Games & New Accessories

Please note: The prices listed are the 75% off price.

This sale is also good at regular Blockbusters (YMMV at franchised locations), but your selection there is obviously going to be limited compared to GameRush stores.
The same new games that have been 50% off for a long time and, apparently, are going to go to more than 50% off on the 26th are also on sale at regular Blockbusters. The problem is they will have a very weak selection, if any.
Crap. I just bought a 50% off game from GR 5 days ago, and still haven't opened it. Does GR do price adjustment at all, seeing it will still be within 30 days period?

You'll just have to return and rebuy, though how accomodating they will be with that process is unknown.
What, your GR has an endless supply of these?? I actually want one for myself with my credit but they only got one fucking unit in... I'll wait...

.
Mine has 3 or 4 in the case, no idea if theres any more in the back.
They gave you $2.50 for Dark Alliance II ?!?! They were selling it used a couple weeks ago for $25. Ebay is even more than that.
I actually just had them quote me the price for BG : DA II in-store, but that's what they were prepared to give me. Good thing I decided to hold on to it...

What, you don't think that's a fair deal? You give them Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II; they give you enough to buy a pack of Sno Caps. Who are you to resist the delicious chocolate, covered in little white things?

Quotes for today:

Call of Duty 2 (360): $35
Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble (DS): $4.50 :cold:

I'll probably have them actually scan VJ next time I'm in, since that seems awfully low for GR. Then again I have no idea how they're pricing it, so it could be accurate.

Kind of an odd request, but one of my nieces has saved up her money for quite sometime so she could buy a DS Lite. I had been helping her increase her value by letting her know about the games that traded for a lot at GR. Unfortunately, she now has enough GR credit to buy one, but all of the stores in my area are out of stock. Would anyone be willing to pick up a DS Lite at a GR near them and then send it to me? She has all her credit on a Value Card and I would send that and pay for the cost of shipping.

Like I said, this is a little out of character for me to ask a big favor like this, but I'd really like to see if someone would be willing to help me out.

Driver: Parallel lines for $16 is great...I got it as my free game from GS B2G1F because I couldnt think of anything else to get.

Also, whats the required age to trade-in?

It's only out in white, so if you can find one that would be great.

You have to be a rental member of Blockbuster to be able to trade-in to Gamerush. You would need to be at least 18 and have a major credit card or bill in your name that isn't a cell phone bill to be able to sign up for a membership.

I just turned in my friend's beat up copy of THAW PS2 for $12 and was quoted $4 for Sigma Star Saga GBA. What's weird was the collectors edition of THAW also gets the same price:whistle2:s

Also of note, since I was in the area of the only Best Buy(Burbank, ca) that does game trade-ins. I decided to ask for a quote on four games I bought from the CC sale:
THAW - 12
Sigma star saga - 4.50
zelda 4 swords - 7.50
FF4 - 10
Which are pretty close to what GR also gets for them.
Does anyone still have best buys that does that in their area?

If World Soccer Tour PSP still trades in for $18.50, that might be good trade fodder as it's $8.96 at Circuit City now. Same with Castlevania COD for Xbox if it's $18 still (PS2 version is $12 so it doesn't look good).

CAGwiki updated....

Oh, and Valkyrie Profile 2 for PS2 is available for preorder for those of us with $29.99 preorder deal preorders still available to switch :D. I have a strong feeling my Disgaea 2 preorder will turn into this . In fact, I'm so sure I preordered Disgaea 2 at EB tonight.
thanx, im planning on heading out to CC tomorrow with some extra cash, what games should i look for?
i would like to know as well
i would like to know as well
I made another CC run after the XBox/GC list came out. The prices were valid already, but I really couldn't even think of anything that might work at GR. Most of the CC's here are still well-stocked with Driver and Ecko (regular, anyway). Those will be good again if/when the $5 bonus hits. The only problem is I've traded too many already :D. I was really hoping for something else. I'll let you guys figure out the gems, as I can't get back to CC till Sunday probably. I saw tons of Burnout Revenge for Xbox when I was there. Later I double-checked at GR - it trades for a whopping $6. CC is being really flaky with the multi-platform stuff. I wanted a copy of Burnout Revenge for PS2 to play, but it is not on sale. Also, Shrek Super Slam is on sale for Xbox and GBA, but not GC (I checked this). Suckage. Neither of those are suitable GR fodder of course, just things I wanted.

Since the GC clearance was so lame, and I'm not too familiar with Xbox games I couldn't come up with anything better. I figured up front that none of the DS games would be any good, and probably not the PSP games - I hadn't thought of World Tour Soccer - but chances are it has dropped anyway. Maybe Shipwreck has a better handle on which Xbox games might be good candidates. He did pull the infamous Red Ninja out of nowhere :D.
Maybe Shipwreck has a better handle on which Xbox games might be good candidates. He did pull the infamous Red Ninja out of nowhere :D.
I'll try and take a look at the list a little closer later and see if I don't spot anything. Work's been kicking my ass this week, so I haven't had time to uphold my usual GR duties. :(

Shipwreck,
Which stores in the cincy area did you check for the DS lite at?
Shipwreck,

Checked the following locations:

Kings Mills
Middletown
Plainfield/Hunt
Route 42/Sharonville
Blue Ash/Kenwood Road
Montgomery Road/Near Kenwood Mall
Montgomery Road/Harper's Pointe
Montgomery Road/Landen

I don't travel much south of that, but I know there's some more stores a little more towards downtown Cincy.

Yeah....I work downtown. There's 3 around me. I'll call all 3 today and see what they say. Hopefully, they have something. Maybe we can save you the shipping cost....cross your fingers. :)
hey anyone know if gamerush takes Blockbuster credit? I traded my games there instead and got it on a gift card.
Yes, same store...I used BB gift cards
Hey Shipwreck-

I checked 6 local gamerushes and was unable to find a ds lite. I'll keep looking for you though.
Thanks, I definitely appreciate the effort. It looks as though a couple of Cincy CAGs might have some leads for me, so I might be able to get her a DS soon. I'm very thankful for everyone that is helping in the search!
Yes, same store...I used BB gift cards
haha i bought a BB gift card using my Gamerush gift card because the BB gift cards looks much better...not to mention theres more variety

I saw on the last page that Dynasty Warriors 5 XB was getting $27 trade-in. Does the PS2 version get the same? If so, some CC's may still have some for $8.96 :) .

My CC has like 5 copies of Dynasty Warrios...very interested to know what the PS2 version gets in trade.

Anyone confirm the Xbox Castlevania trade-in price or some of the CC PSP trade-in prices? I'd say the PSP list has a good chance of having a couple trade-in gems considering the high prices GR charges for used PSP games.

shipwreck's CAG of the Day Award goes to Tmorg for finding my niece a DS Lite.

(Please Note: This award will be rescinded if I get shived in the Best Buy parking lot when we make the exchange)

None of those PSP games are going to trade for very much anymore. Most, if not all of them, have been lowered to $14.99-$19.99 used. Most expensive one might be THUG2 or World Soccer Tour.

I presume Flatout for the Xbox is just as hot as the PS2 version at Gamerush...?

Well, World Soccer Tour got $18.50 last time anyone traded it in...so maybe it still does?

All the PSP games at my GR stores are probably mislabled then or have old prices...they keep the things locked in a case...and they all have $35 price tags on them. If I had an up to date price list I'd probably buy a few. I figure by the end of summer they'll have them repriced and out of the case if they're only in the $15-20 range. They tend to use the cases (there's 4 of them, 1 above each section) for $35-50 games...of which they always have hundreds. Every 6 months or so they clean out the cases to make room for newer stuff. As far as I can tell, they don't sell much of anything out of the cases...I bought some of the Mario Party games out of there and a few Xbox titles during the buy 2 get 1 free...but that's about it.

I'm kind of glad there's nothing obvious to get and trade in at GR.

1) I don't really need any more credit
2) I'm kind of burnt out on all that now and need a break :D

I just need to decide if I really even need to keep this giant pile of GBA and DS games I picked up at CC the last 2 days. I may end up returning many of them (and they are things like Finding Nemo and SpongeBob that I wouldn't even bother listing for trade with other CAG's :D).

Plus if the CC's are really being hounded as people are reporting I'd just assume stay away. What is wierd is that it didn't happen with the PS2 drops, but all of a sudden everyone and their aunt has a printed list now and is buying up everything in sight? That's what it sounds like on the CC thread anyway.

Which Portland stores did you clean them out from? Should I even bother to go there for PS2/DS/GBA goodies?

Heh. I happened to find a GR with one in stock today, so I picked it up thinking you were having bad luck finding one.

Now I have to figure out whether to keep it for myself, return it or resell it. Life's rough with credit to burn. ;)

As an aside, I picked up a new Controller S, because I was tired of the limp analog stick on my current Pelican. $30 of GR credit isn't a bad deal. I don't know if it was the register or the clerk, but I got the 50% accessory discount listed as an applied coupon. I don't remember seeing the S being mentioned before as part of the sale, or if my experience was a one-off YMMV.

I hardly cleaned anything out - but I did buy 1 copy of just about everything I could find to decide later if I really wanted them. Like I said, most of it is stuff like Finding Nemo, SpongeBob, Scooby Doo, NFSU2, Dig Dug, etc... But I also passed on several things like Burnout Legends, Trace Memory, Polarium, etc. Also, Tigard had several FF IV as of last night so you might want to get there ASAP if you want that! The only multiples I bought were of things like Matrix and Driver (that I had traded into BB previously) so I could qualify for the $15 off $100 coupon. Then I will most likely return these using my original $9.99 or $8.96 receipts. Pretty much all of the CC's are still overflowing with these games.

Anyway, none of this is GR related, except for the fact that I could buy a few of these games for $20 at GR, which makes them about the same price as I'm paying at CC anyway.

I forgot my coupon at home...I asked the CSR about it when I was checking out and she said she wasn't aware of any coupon....argh. I guess I could return and rebuy with the coupon.

I actually passed on a few CC games today since I didn't know GR trade-in value....I even passed on a Halo 3-pack. Oh well....maybe it'll be there tomorrow....but I already own all of them

I'm curious what Castelvania:COD trade in for...there was no good PSP games left anyways

Here are some trade values from today:

Flatout(xbox)- $24
Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes(xbox)- $12

Also to anyone who lives near the Huntington Beach,CA area who might need a PS2 memory card(official Sony ones), The Huntington Beach GR has a bunch of used ones for $8.50 after 50% off.

They are the red ones that they sell as used(but are new, the ones I've bought have never even been formatted). You can find them buried in a small yellow basket on the GR counter marked "clearence", there were 5 or 6 left after I grabbed another one.

Really hectic tonight, so only a couple of trade in prices:

PS2
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX2 - $2.50 - 06/23/06
David Beckham Soccer - $16 - 06/23/06
DDR Max 2 - $12 - 06/23/06

Anyone know the trade-in price for Super Smash Bros. Melee? The Mario Party 4 trade-in price of $4.99 seems like a bad sign. I found a copy at a garage sale today, as well as Resident Evil, Mario Party 4, and Mario Kart Double Dash (anyone know what that one trades in for?). Trying to decide if I want to Ebay them or trade them in somewhere. Cost me $3.75 each...so I'll make a profit no matter what I do.

Oh, and I believe it was mentioned before, but for some reason GR won't take in Time Crisis: Crisis Zone w/Guncon 2 for any price. It's not in their system. I don't know about just the game.
