Current Sales Deals

All Playstation 1 games $2 (both used & new)

GR is clearing out their stock of Playstation one games for $2 a piece. Get them while they last.

DEAD: Ended 8/7/06 Trade 3 or More Games & Get an Extra $5 for Each Game

Receive an extra $5 PER GAME when you trade in 3 or more games. Games must have a used price of $7.99 or more to qualify for the extra $5. Also, 2005 and 2k5 sports games and newer WILL count for the bonus.

The employee must adjust the trade-in price of the games manually, but there is an option in the computer specifically set up for this deal. It is option #2 and will say something along the lines of "Trade 3 or More Games & Get an Extra $5 for Each Game". The employee must do this for each of the games that qualify.

75% off Select New Games & New Accessories

Please note: The prices listed are the 75% off price.

This sale is also good at regular Blockbusters (YMMV at franchised locations), but your selection there is obviously going to be limited compared to GameRush stores.

Trade-In Price Wiki
Are you serious? My GR has never gotten a resupply of DS games EVER. No SMB since the very first day, no Castlevania since way back... They got another couple of WarioWare Twisted a few weeks ago and that nearly freaked me out. That was the first time I'd seen ANY Nintendo product restocked, actually. Though I did notice they had a Donkey Kong Jungle Beat w/bongoes (marked $54.99) on the GR counter yesterday as well. I have no idea where the hell they got that from - must have come from the back. Of course, I had been looking for that a while ago, but have since gotten it elsewhere.
Funny this should come up! One of the GRs I went to yesterday had way more DS games than they did in the past. NSMB, MPH, Mario Kart and even Meteos! I positive that they weren't there before. When I got my DS back in June, I went to six out of eight GRs in my area and these titles were nowhere to be found.

BTW io Happy Birthday(you mentioned it over on the DS board)!!!!

Oh, yeah, that.... Thanks .

I was hoping to have a new DS game today (Deep Labyrinth) to play for my birthday but the reviews say it sucks so I'll have to pass on that (let my preorder sit at EB). Guess I'll just have to be satisfied with Simpsons Season 8 as my present (which I have to go buy today).

heh, happy birthday io. how old are you man?

Some decent pricedrops this week on new games. These are the ones I recall.

Battalion Wars (GC) $29.99
Fire Emblem (GC) $29.99 (This actually dropped awhile back, but it's worth mentioning again)
Grandia III (PS2) $29.99
Lord Of The Rings Tactics (PSP) $19.99
Me & My Katamari (PSP) $29.99
Metal Gear Acid (PSP) $19.99
Pac-Man World 3 (PSP) $19.99
Ratchet Deadlocked (PS2) $19.99
Shadow Of The Collosus (PS2) $19.99
Tokobot (PSP) $19.99
Untold Legends II: Warriors' Code (PSP) $29.99
World Championship Poker 2 (PSP) $19.99

The store I went to had just gotten a shipment of $9.99 disc only Xbox games that have been refurbished, so you might want to see if your store got any in as well.

Trade-In Price:
Fire Emblem (GC) $24
The store I went to had just gotten a shipment of $9.99 disc only Xbox games that have been refurbished, so you might want to see if your store got any in as well.
My store has around 400-500 disc-only games in clear plastic cases that came in a couple months ago. They don't even have them in the game racks though as there's no room, they're just stacked underneath the game racks where no one can see them. I haven't really looked through them since I have no interest in disc only games. I figure they'll still be there in 2 years when they clearance out all the PS2, GC, XB stuff.

Medievil: Resurrection (PSP) $15
Kingdom of Paradise (PSP) $20

I scored 2 games today at GR Dual Masters 2 (GBA) $2.75 & Renogoku (PSP) $10.

Any GRs have the regular PSP in stock (Not the Value Pack)? I need to get an extra one but have never seen the system by itself..only with all the extra crap.

Threw down a bunch of preorders today. Guy did a double-take when I warned him how many I was going to put down.

Thanks to io's list:

Contact - $29.99
Magical Starsign - $29.99
Children of Mana - $29.99
Yoshi's Island 2 - $29.99
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin - $34.99

The guy only put a 28.99 deposit on Contact before I told him how to do things correctly. I'll pay the extra dollar on that and the remaining $30 on FFIII next time I go in. Chances are they aren't gonna get Contact anyway, so not a whole lot to worry about. Surprisingly I will still have enough credit for another DS game, or I will have to do some quick flipping to get enough to preorder Super Paper Mario or something.

My Gamerush has both a used PSP, and the core pack. Used is $179.99 & Core is $199. Honestly, you're better off on ebay if you want just the system by itself, unless you were just planning on dumping store credit.

I just got back from GR, mine had waiting lists for both the PS3 & Wii. The PS3 list had 49 people on it already, while on the Wii list i was Lucky number 7 (poor Nintendo gets no loving at this GR - no wonder why their GC/DS selection is crap).

Also to my suprise they had restocked some DS games (Metroid Hunters/Pinball, buncha others, nothing rare though), and they had 1 DS lite system (which i bought for ebay, my last one sold for $152 + shipping).

 Why bother being #49 on the PS3 list? Based on the 360 launch (and this one will likely be no better, if not worse), it would take them about a year to get 49 consoles at one store.

A year? Probably longer with the way Gamerush has been....no joke.

I didnt bother with the PS3 list, i dont really have any interest in the PS3 right now anyways.

I doubt ill even get the 7th Wii anywhere close to launch. I just figured if i wasnt able to pick it up in a store on release day (and since GS/EB's call lists are probably near the upper hundreds) i'd get some kind of "insurance".

Thanks for the prices Jammer...

Ah, poor GR, no one cares unless they have some type of deal going :D. Hint, hint, GR!

Saw a few price drops yesterday when I dropped by one of the game rushes.

Shadow of the Collossus - 19.99
Radiata Stories - 19.99

I also picked up a MK:Deception Premium Pack for $5.
Also picked up an New GBA E-Reader for .01 with DKJ E-reader card( which was mismarked but they price adjusted it for me though).
Just to summarize the DS preorder situation (in order of release date):

GAME ----------------- Release Date ----- EB/GS Price ----- GR price
Star Fox Command - Aug 28 ------------- $34.99 ----------- $29.99
Okay, so according to the Target and Circuit City fliers for release week, they are also selling Star Fox for $29.99. Could it be this isn't a sale, but rather a rare occurance of GR having better information than EB?

Still, it's generally easier to build GR credit, so there are other benefits of going with the GR route for games you want (but maybe don't need to have day-of-release).

Yeah, it seems most likely that they just have the correct price compared to EB, since EB has had random markups on games lately.

"anyone got a trade in price for Tomb Raider and Far Cry for 360? Just wondering if its still 35 ;P"

You could always call a local store. In my experience most employees are willing to provide that info over the telephone.

Gamerush got the new Maddens in. Good luck in getting it early though, I was told I couldn't pick mine up until Wednesday.

Also an Xbox console trades in for $50.

Sorry to ask if it's been answered but there are tons of pages to look through for an answer.

But how much are the games that have no labeled prices on the master list?

Like Transformers, Shinobi, etc.

Thank you.

You mean the clearance games? In general, just look up the standard retail price (via EB games or whatever) and then take 75% off. Most of them will be $5 since they were probably $20 to begin with. But many will be $7.50 (if they were $30) or $10 (if they were $40). Some will be even less than $5 though.

Calling won't necessarily work - if they actually have the game in hand and it is mismarked they will just tell you the original price . And at this point, you are only likely to find any clearance games that aren't marked as clearance. Most of this stuff has been gone for weeks now.

Traded in a ton of games last night and got $5 extra. Interesting enough the stores are starting to remove the 'system displays' places inbetween the GR and BB side. Ive seen 2 stores do this in the past week. Wonder what they do with the TVs and everything?

Yep, that's happening around here as well for the smaller stores.

There is so much empty shelf space at some of the GR's around me right now. The used game section hasn't changed, but the new games/accessories is just half wiped at 2 of the big nearby stores. There are whole aisles with only 20 games on each side. Something must be going on unless they are truely just preparing for the new consoles. Gamecube sections have been bare for awhile, but the xbox sections are worse now compared to them.

I noticed the Gamerush sign at the front of the store had been removed, but they still had the coming soon board. They had all the 360 used games behind the glass.

Most of the 'New' games are pretty much wiped clean. GameCube is almost non-existant (same with GBA/DS) and Xbox is only slightly better then Cube. PS2 still seems fairly decent, only because theyhave 10-15 copies of each GH game.

When I looked online for a GR, I typed in the zip code for the store and it did not come up. It looks like alot of the GR are just being transformed in BB. Come on only 3 months to the PS3....thats all I ask.

On a side note, I went to check on my pre-orders and I knew I had Okami on pre-order at this one store, but when I looked at my account it was not there. Luckily I have the reciept, but this is going to be a major pain to go through. Has anyone else had a similar problem, and how did you fix it?

Hmmm... My GR still shows up in the search, thankfully... They seem confident they are getting the new systems in and are making space for them, etc. I would worry that stores where they are removing the demo systems are being downconverted. I'm not sure what you mean by the "systems in between the GR and BB side" gizmogc - at my store the systems are smack in the middle of the GR side (though kind of near checkout). If they remove those, what would the employees do during down time?

Anyway, about the Okami disappearing - someone said that happened to them with the same game a few months back. What could be a pain is that they might think you switched or cancelled it previously and will either have to trust you or do an account history to find the original preorder and no changes on it since then.

I switched my Okami preorder to something else back when they had it for $49.99 in the system. Just in case, though, I had better check on a few of my long-term preorders (FF XII, Zelda) since they date to March or April of 2005.

This happened to me with Mario Strikers. They ended up just putting the full credit for the game on my account, and I bought something else the next time I went in.

Theoretically, you should be able to go in with the receipt and reinstate it. They may have to credit your account and repreorder (heh) it using those funds.

Yes, many (if not all) of the ones where they are removing the kiosks from, they are also just removing GameRush as well. I know 3-4 stores in my area are going through this. Thankfully, they are all south of where I generally shop.

At all my GRs (about 8-10) the Kiosks with the systems in them are located directly inbetween the GR and BB. Two stores this week have removed them. No news on removing GR though....I did see however that 3-4 other stores are removing the 'faceplates' that go over the TVs that define what system is playing. Who knows with GR.

My local BlockBuster just got in a ton more of The Guy Game (Xbox) in stock for $10 clearanced. They must all be getting shipped to that store since they always seem to be getting more in stock. If anyone needs one for $15 shipped (PayPal $1 extra) or trade, let me know while they still have them. I bought out their last supply a month ago to trade to other CAGs, so maybe that's why this store got more.

Also noticed that Naruto (GC) dropped to $19.99 new. BELIEVE IT!

I am pretty jealous of your generous gamerush employees. My GR guys wouldn't give me the benefit of the doubt and instead told me to come another day to speak with a manager in case I was trying to swindle them or something. To this day my Kingdom Hearts 2 and Final Fantasy XII preorders are still missing in their system and at this point, it seems a big hassle to fix it.

I suppose I should do it when they are not busy because all the trouble fixing this would cause a massive backup in the checkout line.

I go in when they first open on a weekday (not tuesday) to handle anything I know is going to take awhile. Also the store manager is usually there in the mornings on weekdays since he/she makes the schedule...

Well this is obviously the hot flipper title of the moment...its 9.99 at amazon. Assuming the price holds this week (i.e. Tuesday onwards) it might be worth ordering a couple...

Damn, no B&M location for that? I hate ordering games via mail for trade-in because you never know what will happen... Tempting though, I'm having GR trade-in profit withdrawal .

Are you sure? It isn't listed in the cool deals thread. I will price check it next time I go in there just to see...it isn't even on CC's website though

It had the cool deals sticker on the front, which normally means $13.99. I didn't bother checking to see what it rang up for since I thought it dropped at GR. Looks like only the xbox version of the game dropped though. Don't think it was a fluke, since I saw the labeled with cool deal stickers at 2 different stores...

Ah yes looks like the Xbox version only gets $2.50(!) according to the wiki. Anyway I will check it out at CC tomorrow and see what it rings up for.
