OTHER INFO

They also have coupons in magazines for great deals, so be sure to check EGM, GamePro, and several other magazines.

GameRush is starting to expand, so check the store locator every once in awhile to see if one is coming to an area near you. :)

All BlockBuster's should now accept trades, so the trade in prices for BB and GR should be similar, but normal BBs will not always have the deals that GameRush has.

GameRush accepts game trades without case and instructions and the games can be in poor condition depending on the employee.

You must have a BB account and sign a trade agreement to trade at GameRush.

Please be careful if you scam GameRush (by flipping games) since they do have the abillity to bann you from all GameRush locations if they want to.

THANKS

Wshakspear- Told CAG about GameRush.
CoryCubed- Manager at a GameRush that has given us several updates on the deals and other information about GameRush.
drfrielgood- GameRush employee that has been updating us on GameRush information constantly.
Zon27- Nearly every week he has typed and posted the latest trade in prices. Thanks for doing all you can to help us out.
And everyone else who has contributed to this thread. Thanks guys! :)
I have seen other wheels for PS2 there but not the GT4 one. I'd rather ask a knowledgeable CAG than the brain dead guys at (my local) GR.

Can they do special orders?
Couldn't you just buy up a few $4.99 games and trade them in over at EB to transfer the credit? (with the buy 2 get 1 free deal, you'd actually increase your credit by a bit as well)

I found a copy of MGS 2: Substance for the PS2 at a non GR Blockbuster the other day. It was $16 so I picked it up.
I have two Xbox versions for $9.99 at my store brand new
The xbox version is easier to find than a paris hilton sex tape.

Beautiful analogy.......the PS2 version is much harder to find, so I was excited to find it at that price in good condition. Better yet, I just got the substance PS2 strat guide brand new off of ebay for $8.99. I just like having the guide to accompany the game and complete the collection.

Anyway, whats the word on the trade 5 deal??
The n64 section is looking kind of packed, I think they need to clear those off for 99 cents each.
That would be the best thing ever. The second closest to me GR has pretty much every good 64 game(even two import wrestling games) and they've been there for a long time. I'd love to get my hands on em so I could dust off my 64.

Did anyone get tekken 5 yet? It's suppose to come out today, but my gamerush doesnt seem to have it yet. Does anybody have any luck anywhere else?

ok, i just found out theres a gamerush near me, and we broke our fourth xbox controller and we need to replace it so we can play 4 player halo 2. i have a bunch of games i can trade in, does gamerush give the best ammount or whats the deal? we also have a gamestop or ebgames near us, i think gamestop. i just wanna trade in a few games and get a new one and a controller.

galleon still fetches $18 in credit, that is strange since it sells for $20 new.

Nothing makes sense at gamerush, but i like it.

I think i will unload a ps2 memory card or 2 @ $17 each. Heck that is crazy.

My store got it in today (so it's out, but I don't help much since my store is TRU)

I notice nearly all GR's have Castlevania: Symphony of the Night GH, anybody know how much these cost? I would love to pick up one.

Tomorrow, I'm there. :D

For anyone in OKC. I just traded in Resident Evil 4, (the rest are XBOX), Mercenaries, Punisher, Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic II, Oddworld Stranger, and Need for Speed II if anyone wants to get on the buy 2 get 1 free.

You traded in RE4???

I unlocked everything and beat it three times and I still can't get enough...

GR needs some good promotions, I have Mojo, Universal Studios, and Eternal Darkness to trade in, and there's nothing I want to preorder. What will those games give me in credit if I traded them in tomorrow, for, say, NBA Street V3?

I may just keep them to store away until the next big promotion, but it's looking grim.

I still have a rental checked out...just a little cleaning of Game Rush inventory combined with ebgames and trade 2 for $10 bonus...

I picked up my Tekken 5 yesterday. They even gave me the "Art of Tekken" book along with it. It's kind of cool, since I wasn't expecting any type of promotion when I picked the game up.

Last night I picked up the following: Greg Hasting's paint ball, Marvel vs Capcom 2 and get this....Resident Evil 3 for gamecube all for $62.

I bought the 5th season of south park too. :)

Gamerush really does give the best trade in prices! I went to trade in Rainbow 6 -3 for xbox and Wario ware for gamecube at EB games. They were only going to give me $16 total, including the $10 bonus credit. I thought that's not worth it, let me check at GR. Sure enough, GR is giving $8 for Rainbow 6-3 and $11 for Wario ware. $19 total.

Sigh, I hate you.

But good job, except for Greg Hastings...what were you thinking? That game soooooo blows.
Anyone know how much credit the're giving for Unreal 2 for xbox?
No idea, but if they're pricing structure gives any hints, I'd say 5-8 dollars.

Just had some markdowns on the EA stuff. All prices are current in the POS as of today

Goldeneye, Urbz, Lord of the Rings Third Age, and Def Jam NY are all $29.99.

^ when I went to preorder Phantom Dust yesterday (it's 19.99 in their system now), I looked at their updated list and they had a bunch of PSP games available for preorder so I would assume you could use it for the current 34.99 deal. Not much is saved if the games do come out as 39.99.

Today, I traded in:
Incredibles GC - $18
Shellshock PS2 - $23
Winning Eleven 8 PS2 - $25
Godzilla: Save the Earth Xbox - $18
Eternal Darkness GC - $7
Zapper GC - $7
WWE Crush Hour PS2 - $5
Total trade-in: $103.00

Pre-Ordered the following:
Devil May Cry 3
Metal Gear Ac!d PSP
Lumines PSP

I ended up owing an extra $10. I know that the PSP games only saved me $5 by pre-ordering and I could've pre-ordered something more expensive, but I don't really care. I'd rather save on games I know I want than get something I'm not as excited to play.

Oh, and they wouldn't take my Madden 2004 Xbox. They said they have a box full of Maddens. Still, I'm surprised they wouldn't take last year's version. I imagine this is YMMV.

For any of you in Oklahoma City my store at NW 50th and MacArthur will be having a Burnout 3 tournament/contest this Sunday March 6 at 1:30.

Not sure if this deserves its own thread, but there was something else I noticed at my GR (on National in LA, CA). It might be YMMV, though.

They have an endcap display with a sign saying, "$10 off sticker price for a limited time." I saw Spider-Man 2 (all consoles), which was stickered at $29 -- meaning it's $20. Also remember seeing Transformers PS2, stickered at $19 -- meaning it's $10.

I spaced and don't remember what the other games were, which may mean there wasn't much else interesting. Still worth checking for at your GameRush.

Yeah I saw the same thing at that store. It also had Megaman Anniversary Collection for all systems up there with a tag of $29.99 (so it'd be $19.99). But I didn't really look very hard at it cause nothing up there was very interesting.

That store also gave me trouble when I tried to trade in some DC games that I got from them that don't work (NFL Blitz) and another that I didn't want cause it was missing the instructions when I got it and you need the instructions for the access key (PSO)...and since I didn't get my DC system until recently I wasn't able to test Blitz (so I couldn't return it cause it's been too long). They blocked me trading in games without instructions. I laughed when he told me that, I called BS and when I went to another GameRush today I had no problem getting rid of them.

The dude who blocked me trading in games with no instructions said it was started recently, he said within the last month. The ironic part is I'd say that atleast 65% of the games in that store are without instructions. There are tons of PS2 games in that store that are in CD jewel cases, not even regular dvd cases.

Anyways, went to the second GR, the one in Westchester on Sepulveda. Look through all their PS1 games, they had crap. But I started poking through the PS2 games and I found a MSG 2 Substance complete with light scratches for $16.99... so I was happy.

Here's a great deal for anyone who doesn't own Viewtiful Joe 2 (GCN or PS2):

Viewtiful Joe 2 dropped in price to $19.99 brand new at all Gamerush stores. Amazingly, this game is also part of the "$10 off sticker price" deal, bringing the game down to $9.99. You must have the cashier manually scan the barcode at the register to get the additional $10 off.

I picked my Gamecube copy up today for $7.99 ($19.99-$2.00employeediscount-$10offcoupon)

The cool thing is that now I have two. I picked up the other one at a local bookstore for $9.98. ha ha

I'm tempted to try to sell them here. Piss on Ebay.

I haven't heard anything about the 10 dollars off stickered price deal, does anyone have a full, official list of games that are on sale and what their prices would be?

Since I didn't get to pick up Castlevania: Symphony of the Night yet, I could check out for the games next time I go, probably tomorrow.

Here are some of the other prices I remember from our list (after the $10 off):

Mortal Kombat Deception CE (PS2 & XBox) $39.99
Star Ocean 'Til the End of Time $39.99
Fight Club $19.99
Max Payne 2 $9.99
Brute Force $9.99
Chronicles of Riddick (can't remember price)
Custom Robo $19.99
Wario Ware (GCN) $19.99

And that's all I can remember off the top of my head. Your store may not have all of these on display, but they are on the list of games included in this deal and will work with the $10 off barcode.
