My GR said that the new Elder Scrolls won't be available until Friday. I'm sure that that is going to piss ya'll off. ;)

that's probably the blockbuster date (a friday) and not when it will come into the competent game rushes
 
You're right, it pisses me off. I guess I'll try to hunt down a limited edition somewhere else tomorrow and then return the one I get from Gamerush there if that's the case. But for a game like Oblivion there's no excuse to not having it tomorrow since some places got them in today.
 
At the GR I went to, they had about three PS2 Area 51 games and three XB versions in the "50% off" section. All of them had a blue dot on them I guess to signify that they were on sale.

Now, I bought Pariah, too, but when they rang up, only Pariah came up 1/2 off. Luckily the cashier just forced the discount. It should be noted that out of three or four BB/GR, this was the only one I saw Area 51 being included in the sale

What's also interesting is at another GR, I asked if Pariah was part of the 1/2 off sale. They said it was not, only the stuff in the displays.

One would think that BB/GR would have some kind of master list of all the games and accessories that are part of this sale.

Oh, well, I got my games, so no real harm done ;)

I just got the Akuma controller for $5 plus tax.

Can anyone help me out? I've gone to 4-5 BBVs around my area and could only find ONE SF Controller for the PS2 [Akuma].

I'm looking for the rest of the set meaning Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li. If anyone can help me out, that'd be awesome. I'm Paypal ready. Just PM me. Thanks!
 
Wound up finding a used Logitech wireless PS2 controller ($5 after 50% off), 2 PS2 media manager packages, and 2 copies of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo for GBA. Was definitely a nice surprise to find puzzle fighter on my last stop for the night.

Which location had the Puzzle Fighters?
 
Just thought I'd mention that I picked up a Street Fighter PS2 controller (Ryu), and that it seems to work with my Super Dualbox PC adapter.

Its good to see that all the publishers take Gamecrazy very seriously as a game store... they get exclusive preorder bonus's, they received MGS 3 LE along with EB / GS.

Seems like Gamerush is just some kind of bastard child, and it makes me sad. I wish Hollywood Video would open some Gamecrazy's down here :(

I called my GR today and the guy opened the box when I was on the phone with him and he said they did not have the game in yet. He said they should have in Wednesday. I hate waiting!

It was a somewhat out of the way GR on the far south side of Greenwood, IN. The 2 that I got were the only ones that I'd seen all day -- (I'd stopped by a few of the GR stores on the north side of Indy, some of the others in Greenwood and had looked at a few of the ones in the Detroit area over the past few days before I left).

I called about 1130 today to see if Oblivion was in, and the guy tapped away on the computer and said no.

Two hours later, my fiance calls me to let me know they called to say it was in.

So, I'm taking the kids over to pick it up after work.
 
Got my call today as well. It is an amazing game. For some reason my GR only got the collectors edition in, I am glad I changed it last week.

Anyway, GR-monkey typed at the keyboard for two seconds (certainly enough to find Metroid Prime Hunters and Tetris DS separately :roll:) and said no. I'll probably call back later.

Got my Oblivion. I had reserved the Collector's Edition and they had that put aside for me. Also reserved Splinter Cell Double Agent, but they still had that coming out in April. I wonder if they didn't get the memo it had been delayed?

For anyone wanting Xenosaga 2, if your TRU has any left they'll be $1 each, seems all their clearance games are now 90% off, though i highly doubt any have anything good left.

Anyways, called my gamerush to see if they got Oblivion in, and they only ordered enough copies for the pre-orders... I know i should've pre-ordered, but cmon, just because the game costs more than the others doesnt mean that the only people who want it are the ones who pre-ordered.
 
Man... I forgot how much higher Gamerush's trade-in prices were compared to everyone else's. Gamestop just tried offering me $2 for Psi-Ops and $1 for X-Men: Next Dimension for Xbox... I guess I'll have to head on over to GR and hope they get Suikoden V and use my credit on that.

Instead, they mark their clearance games at $9.98 (ish) and that's lowest they will go. Right?
 
anyone have comment for Mad Cat MC2 universal steering wheel.. i saw one at my GR last night.. but not sure why would i want it.. unless it has good reviews.. I googled the review and it's been pretty positive.. but wanna hear from fellow CAG... befor I blow another chunk of my GR credit :)

Suikoden V came in at GR today.

Since I'm out of town I wanted to make sure they held all my games for me that are coming in this week. Had the same experience as you (they checked the computer and not the actual stock), and then an assurance that if and when they came in, they would save them for me. Yeah, right, that's why the last 2 games I went to pick up were out on the shelves, eh?

Anyway, Red Ninja still holding at $27 as of Tuesday in Tucson, AZ, at any rate :D.
