Game Pass

Rent unlimited games for a month. You can have one game (or 2 depending on the pass) out at a time and can return it whenever you want and switch it out as many times as you want.

$21.99 for 1 Game

http://www.gamerush.com/rules_gamepass.php click this link to find out about gamepass at Gamerush.

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).

Went to another GR today and got the following:

Crimson Skies XB $10
Stolen XB $5 (It was already marked down to 9.99)
Silent Hill 4 XB $10
Twisted Metal Black PS2 $7.50
Castlevania Lament Of Innocence PS2 $10

I thought I saw somewhere on here that Ninja Gaiden Black was included, but it came up regular price.

Also, wasn't one of the Mortal Kombat Deception collector packs on sale a while back? They had them but they were locked up, and I didn't ask about them.

From the Fry's ad:

$49.99 ($59.99 - $10 MIR)
Sandisk 1 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo Gaming Series

Mwahahaha - GR FINALLY kicks Fry's ass in pricing, even straight up cash! (My Fry's and GR are practically right next to each other).

Speaking of Fry's, they used to be a good source for GR trade-in fodder (eg, Constantine - and for whatever reason the 2 or 3 copies of this I traded into my GR were sold quite a while ago, I was shocked!). Anything cheap there recently? I haven't been in a while.

I'm headed out on a time wasting and probably fruitless trip to CC for Red Ninja. Also need to pick up an ice cream cake for my daughter's birthday, which presents a dilemma - I was going to go to GR after I'll be where the cake place is... Will it melt while I'm buying cheap games?

I'm not in the mood to read through 28 pages, so sorry if it's already been mentioned, but just thought I'd report that Wavebirds were also 50% off at the Gamerush in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. I picked up the last one on the floor for $15.

C'mon io, be quick with the game stuff. I don't want the ice cream cake your picking up to get ruined! If it was me, it would melt for sure because I always take way too long on my game trips. At least that what my wife seems to think.
At GR today I traded in 2 Red Ninjas and still got $27 a piece.

Hehe, it turns out there's a Baskin Robbins right near GR (though I've never seen it) so I will pick up the cake AFTER I go to GR - problem solved!

Now the key issue is will I get back in time to see Cal play in the NCAA tourney - might miss the first half due to my cheapassedness :whistle2:(.
I picked up one copy of Red Ninja at CC in Roseville...1 left. I didn't want to abuse it.
For those in the area, there was also at least 1 left in the cheap games bin at the 8 & Kelly store when I was there earlier today. (I was also at the Roseville store and saw the one there, but left it for someone else).

on my trip to md, stopped in at a regular bb and found out the purple/clear ngc controller was on sale too (thought only jet black, but they all ring up as jet) so I bought all 4 that were on the floor with my credit (on a nice value card). 2 for me, 2 for a friend. not too shabby. now to return the used ones I bought 3 days ago and see if i cant find a gb player in stock. happy hunting all.

Went and picked up two copies of Red Ninja this morning from CC... the trade-in value is the same at blockbuster. $27/each. Not too bad of a turn-around... now to find something good at that store, since there are no GR's in the area.

I wasn't sure if that controller was on sale or not... my BB has one left, but I already have 4 or 5 gamecube controllers, in addition to the 6 or 7 xbox... so I'll just leave it for someone else.

I do need another wireless xbox controller. Anyone know if the wireless intec (With the rechargable battery pack), is any decent? Mine had them in the 50% off section, making them $15 after discount.

i bought a wireless intec controller for my ps2 awhile ago and it broke after 2 months of use. i'm not sure what happened. i keep all my gaming equipment in good condition. i was pissed b/c they wouldn't let me exchange it since it was after 30 days of purchase :bomb:

i'm not sure about the quality with the xbox controllers though. personally, i will never buy another intec wireless controller again.

In addition to select new items, all used accessories are 50% off. Got a bunch of memory cards plus scored a wireless Logitech PS controller for $5. Very solid.

Also, on the new front, got Kingdom Heart Chain of Memories (GBA) for $10. One GR had racing wheel controllers for $25.

Great treasure hunt sale - each store different.

Damn, didn't know about half off on the used stuff as well., as there were some decent accessories left still. As for the 360, I didn't see one in Cuy Falls.

Whaaa?? Used accessories are on sale? I was just at my GR and they pulled all the new games and accessories and marked them on sale - but not anything used. And this is the first I've heard of Kingdom Hearts: CoM for GBA being on sale. There's been one sitting there for several months that I almost keep buying. Damn that list from the other store (it obviously didn't have this game on it because it wasn't in stock there).

Well I drove all the way out to CC in horrible Friday afternoon traffic and thought I was out of luck - little did I know they actually pulled Red Ninja from the normal racks and tagged it as $10 in their "value game" section. So I got 2 and then went to regular BB's to trade them in. ONE of these regular BB's actually had the 50% clearance sign up and had a few games and controllers. Nothing too interesting, but they did have the biggest new game selection I've seen at any regular BB. I picked up a Kingdom Hearts (PS2, not on sale) since I need to play it in preparation for my KH II preorder :D.

Then I went to GR and had the list from the OP with me. I found the following new things that are not on that list:

GC Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets
GC Harry Potter Quidditch World Cup
GC Yu-Gi-Oh Falsebound Kingdom

Xbox Sudeki
Xbox Voodoo Vince
Xbox NHL '06 ($15)
Xbox Outrun 2
Xbox Tenchu

PS2 Metal Arms ($8.50)
PS2 Fight Night 2004 ($7.50)
PS2 Megaman X7
PS2 Resident Evil Outbreak

I also picked up Full Metal Alchemist for $10, but that is YMMV as, I think, for some reason, Full Metal Alchemist 2 is on the master list and when they pulled the games they got it mixed up. Since it was marked with a blue dot, though, and placed into their clearance section, they took the $10 off manually.

I ended up spending all the credit I got from two Red Ninja's and then some :D. And I ended up missing the entire Cal basketball game, which it turns out was a good thing :wall:.

There are still several games I can get for other CAG's in exchange for Bomberman DS or Price of Persia GC:

GC: Dragonball Z Budokai, LOTR: Two Towers, Looney Tunes, Viewtiful Joe

PS2: Metal Arms, Fight Night 2004, Megaman Anniversary Collection, Silent Hill 4, Resident Evil Outbreak, Timesplitters, Timesplitters Future Perfect, VJ 2, and a few others

Xbox: Cold Fear, Crimson Skies, Full Spectrum Warrior, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters, Megaman Anniversary Collection, Otogi, Outrun 2, Metal Arms, Punisher, Silent Hill 4, Stolen, Suffering, Sudeki, Voodoo Vince, Timesplitters FP, Top Spin, Unreal Championship 2

GBA: Metroid Zero Mission

Finally got Metroid: Zero Mission! Thanks shipwreck for posting this incredible sale, wish I could have gotten more my Gamerush had everything I wanted and they were all last copies. :( I'm so spoiled now, ever since the TRU $10 game clearance that I don't buy games for over 10 bucks, even 20 seems like a lot!
My GR still has the 1GB memory stick pro duo available. If somebody can get sth trade for me , I may pick it up.
sth?
i bought a wireless intec controller for my ps2 awhile ago and it broke after 2 months of use. i'm not sure what happened. i keep all my gaming equipment in good condition. i was pissed b/c they wouldn't let me exchange it since it was after 30 days of purchase :bomb:

i'm not sure about the quality with the xbox controllers though. personally, i will never buy another intec wireless controller again.
it's because it was made by intec. I said this in the TRU thread also. NEVER buy intec no matter how cheap it is.

You got lucky on scoring a Logitech wireless, no way I ever find one used around here. But you got to be kidding me that the Kingdom hearts is on the sale list.

good day today....

picked up two red ninjas at one CC and two more at another CC....at the second CC they pricematched the BB xbox live gold pack for 14.99 after 110% pricematch...then i scurried over to one GR and a different BB to trade in 2 of the red ninjas for $27 each (will trade the other two at different BB/GR this weekend)...spent $54.99 + tax for $108 in blockbuster credit and all the crap in the xbox live gold kit...

finally got home a little after noon to watch the directv mega march madness tourney games...i know it's off topic, but I FREAKIN' LOVE getting every tourney game...i watched basketball from noon to 11:00 pm today (wife is none to pleased though)...thank goodness the sooners miserable season is over

So they ring up 50% off as well?

On the Red Nijas, So you guys trade in 2 at a time? Do you open them up? Are the computers linked that they know what you traded in at each BB/GR? I traded in one yesterday. Is it unsafe to go back and trade another one there or should I go to another one and trade 2 in? Thanks for all the help..This thread and CAG rock!!!!!!

As far as accessories are, all the GRs around me have had 50% off all used and selected new items. I got a PS2 Used Broadband adapter a little over $9 with install disc. I'd also like to pick up a KIngdom Hearts GBA but it did not have the blue dot on it.

Anybody can confirm that all used accessories are 50% off?

Scored used items at 50% off on both KS and MO. Sometimes you have to tell employee about the sale. Discount rings up at the end.

Guess I got lucky as blue sale dot was on copy I bought. Based on others experiences looks like a YMMV.

To anwser your questions, you can trade-in 2 copies of the same title at the same store in one day in the same transaction if you like. (YMMV on if the store decides to only let you trade-in just 2 copies of one title period) Yes, you have to open up the games they don't let you trade in sealed games. No, the computers are not linked together so they can't get a complete look at your trade history but at that location. You should be safe to trade-in another copy at the same location.

I have a funny story from today. I went to my local BB that I traded in a copy of Red Ninja yesterday. I went ahead and went to trade in another copy today but was rejected because the manager on duty at the time told me that they don't accept trades at there store for M Rated games. I had to laugh because I have traded in several M Rated games but I wasn't going to argue with her I will just go to Gamerush and trade-in when I check to see if they got in any 360s.

Yeah, and I'm none to pleased that you snatched all those Red Ninjas':bomb: I swear, I must of walked in the store just after you ransacked em. Did you go to the NW Expressway and Quail CC's?

I've never had this happen, but I always wondered if Blockbuster might start not carrying M rated games. I mean, aren't they kind of prissy with their movie selection (I know they used to be a while ago, maybe they've changed)? It would certainly be a big blow to all of us if they stopped, because it always seems the good trade-in value games are those obscure M-rated gems (Red Ninja, Haunting Ground, Geist, Constantine, etc). It makes sense - these are games likely not to sell well and then get clearanced out at stores like TRU, Best Buy, CC, Target, or Fry's without ever going through official price drops like the more mainstream titles. But looking at the description of Red Ninja, it sure seems a little excessively violent to me, so I could see Blockbuster nixing those :D.

I'm hoping to get out today and see if KH:CoM is really on sale, or is it was just misplaced in one stores's sale section (like Full Metal Alchemist at my store). I'll report back on that. I'm also going to try to get some used PS2 memory cards.

Traded in:

Red Ninja x 2 - 27 each
Romance Three Kingdoms X - $27
Kessen III - $24 (!)

Picked up:
Age of Empires DS
Shadow hearts Covenant x 2
Xenosaga II
Bomberman DS
Rayman DS
Rumble Roses
Deja Vu 1 and 2 GBC

Had 97 cents left over.

Well, I now have $54 credit at my local BB, but they really didn't have anything of interest.... maybe DOA Beach Volleyball for $14.99? Seems to be a hard title to find locally.

They do have a wireless logitec xbox controller for like $17, but it's the funky shaped one... dunno if it will feel right. Any suggestions?

Green or black? I've used the green and it's actually very comfortable. The black one should feel the same. The only difference between the two that I know of is that the black one has the rumble feature and a SLIGHT difference in button layout (black and white, I'm not sure).

I just had the longest trip to GR I've ever had. I went in with two red ninjas in hand, looked around, decided I wanted Donkey Konga w/ Bongos, Donkey Konga 2, and a 2nd playgear for my friend. I bring em up, trade the games, they ring me up, fine. I go to my car, look at my reciept and notice they didn't give me half off donkey konga 2, despite it have a blue sticker. So I go back in and explain they didn't give me half off for it even though there was a blue sticker. They for some reason give me only $10 credit, and I'm like why am I only getting $10 back and she replies hmm? and I explain that half of $35 is $17.50. she's like o wow my bad then proceeds to give me the other 7.50. I then ask why she isn't giving me tax back, and she explains I get taxed on it, then it takes the 50% off. I'm like wtf? and she just insists on that. So I think I got jipped on $1.xx. On another note, I'm not sure but I think the donkey konga 2 may be YMMV, because she had to manually put my credit back in. My guess is the guy messed up with the stickers, cuz she had the employee go out and get the one other donkey konga 2 and she took the sticker off and put it back up.

It's the black controller, I believe, only one the store has of it's kind. How is the quality? I don't want to waste credit on something that's gonna crap out on me in a month or two. Too bad there's no tester, to see if it feels good in my hands. Hmm... tempting, though.

*well, after reading reviews, I think I'm gonna pick that up tomorrow. May as well for half price...

IMO, Logitech is the only company that makes controllers that are just as good as the first-party controllers. I think you'll like it.

Thanks for your help... I'm definitely gonna get it tomorrow. For only $17.50, it should be worth it then.

I have a pelican wireless right now. It's so-so, but has a slight delay in response, and sensitivity is a bit low. It has been really reliable, I must say. But hopefully the logictech will be much better all-around.

Yes, you should have gotten 50% of the tax back on that item as well. People that work at Blockbuster/Gamerush can rarely do basic math. I know there's a few college kids that work there that are with it, but if you're 40 years old and the furthest you've made it in life is a Blockbuster cashier, chances are you're just not that bright. You just have to feel sorry for them more than anything. I try to do the math for them and if they don't believe me for some reason, I pull out my cell phone and show them on the calculator that 2+2 does in fact equal 4.

It does? Whoah, what a mind blow... and here I'm thinking 2+2=fork. :D

yesterdays trip, not too shabby...
2 ngc nintendo brand black controllers - 9.99 ea after 50%
1 ngc madcatz 251 memory card (used) - 1.99 (marked as 4.99) price drop and 50% sale
1 sony dualshock 2 clear blue - 12.xx after 50%
2 ngc madcatz controller extension cables - 1.99 ea after 50%

3/17 trip
4 ngc nintendo brand purple/clear combo controllers - 9.99 ea after 50%

3/15 trip
1 ngc madcatz 251 memory card - 9.99 after 50%

thinking of buying more sony dualshock 2 controllers, since my controllers seem to break after a few years or nasty incidents with the controller hitting the wall from frustration, and at 12-13 ea, thats a steal, seeing as how it comes out to about 6 ea cash (after trade-in credits/deals).

if you want some clear blue sony dualshock 2 controllers or nintendo gc black controllers, PM me and i will see what i can scrounge up.

o, this girl was no where near 40, neither was the guy helping her. The guy looked maybe 21 22, while the lady looked to be in her 20s, no more than 27 maybe. and the guy did have his phone out and was using the calculator for her.... :booty:

Why spend so much on the Dualshock2 controllers? The original Dualshock controllers can be had for considerably less (I recall a sale over the summer where BB had them for ~$1-2 or so). The only real difference is that the PS2 version has analog buttons -- in many games the only difference it makes is that you have to press slightly harder for the button to register.

went to two GR today and saw no blue stickers anywhere... Asked the manager and said they were all out at one and at the other the guy had no idea what I was talking about. He gave me the "are you dumb or something" look... Weird thing is I saw some of the games listed with no blue stickerl; tried to purchase them, but came out to be normal priced even after total. WTF!!
