Also, Shipwreck was right on when he said you have to have them "Total" the amount to get the discount. None of the games at my GR were marked or had even been moved from their typical spots. The girl who rang me up was shocked at the discount after she hit total. Hopefully they don't figure out the sale before I get there tonight. I may even go to another GR in town at lunch to see what they have.

Went to other GR today, they had all their games/accessories out on a 50% off table. Nothing I really needed, but I did pickup GRAW for 360 and got a Outfit faceplate to go with it. :) Now to send in my $20 rebate from the 360 live kit I got last weekend.

I WISH my GR had Wavebirds in stock. My kids broke one and the other is starting to get worn out. I'd buy THREE at GR at that LOW LOW price!

Also, my GR does not have Prince of Persia for GC, and it is about time I got this game. If anyone can pick one up for trade there's lot of other stuff I can get (Killer 7, Megaman Anniversary, etc).
 
Anyone looking for something in particular? I may be stopping to check my Blockbuster today, and I could possibly pick someone up something if they needed if my Blockbuster would even have it.

Well, my local BB wouldn't touch the Gamecube GBA Player - wouldn't even scan it to see if it is in their system. Since that is a "game item" I have to go to GR, she tells me as I'm looking at the rack full of PS2 controllers, remotes, and memory cards that they sell at that Blockbuster :roll:.
 
The manager at my blockbuster was feeding me a line of BS.... he was saying only certain accessories were 1/2 off... not games. Anywho, they still had diddly... I ended up picking up a PS2 extension cord so the wife can sit on the couch to play.

I was really hoping to find a $10 copy of MGS3, but no dice.
 
I grabbed a MC Groovz bundle to toss on Ebay...I paid full price for one at the same Game Rush before Christmas, so hopefully this one will sell and make up for that expense.

Also grabbed Time Splitters and Evil Dead for myself. This GR store had pretty much everything on the list except the PSP memory sticks. I may grab some more games later.
 
Picked up Metroid Zero Mission (never saw it there before, but they alphabetized all the new games so it was easy to find) and Mario Golf for GBA... which is not half off - would have had them total it first to find out, but didn't bother. I'll just return it next week when my preorders come in; definitely not worth paying $25 for when I didn't have enough credit to cover it. Maybe next time.

sp00ge, if you have a Sears near you they have MGS3 for 9.97.
 
I picked up one of those Gameshark 2 for PS2 got it for 12.99 plus tax. BTW how are those MK Kontrollers any good compared to SF ones?
 
Picked up 2 Akuma Street Fighter II Anniversary Controllers from my local BB today for $10.80 out the door. I asked the girl behind the cash register if they were on sale and she's like, "Um... they should be $9.99." Then she rang them up and was like BOOYA!, they're $5.00 off each.

Local sears doesn't carry video games... only remainders from when they did a few years or so ago... Nearest one that does is about and hour away...

Yea, Subsistence wasn't in there at all yesterday, at around the same time eastern... that is really strange.

I picked up Daxter and also saw a Subsistence in the glass case today (Weds). I'm assuming it was the regular version - it was just a plain PS2 case, but I only saw it from the edge. Is the LE in a box or something?

I was able to return/repurchase my GBA player so I got $22.50 credit back for that.

Hehe, I had the same reaction. Might just be the single best item from this sale (better even than the $40 1GB memory sticks). Of course, I had been staring at the one GBA player at my GR for several weeks and finally just bought it at $44.99 about 6 weeks ago. Had no problem returning and repurchasing it today though (as I hadn't opened it yet). If nothing else, that resulted in 2 of the sale games being free.

Nah, best item is MC Groovz w/dance pad. You can either sell the game and keep the pad as a second Mario pad and make a profit in the process (game only goes for around $40+) or you can sell the set for $60+. I just sold mine for $75 shipped...the auction lasted exactly 5 minutes, so I guess I made the buy-it-now too cheap. Not bad for $17 GR credit that cost me less than $10 cash.

Are you kidding? I got that bundle for ~$20 at Best Buy a few months ago. The game sucks (steps don't fit the music well) but it's a hard DDR on the Cube, so its tempting to keep. I'll have to see about dumping it.

So... saw something interesting on the Blockbuster register today. When you trade something in, there is now a column titled "Cash". For 360 games this value was equal to the trade-in price. For the other games it was just blank.

Does this mean that GR is going to start offering cash for trade-ins?!?!?

By the way, Red Ninja (Xbox) still gets $24. I'm pretty sure this is $10 somewhere.
 
Hit another Gamerush today and found one Mc Groovz bundle. It was dusty and box was beat up but game and pad were new. I got it for. $17.xx

Also picked up a used PS2 Network Adapter for $8.9x

I think that's it for me. I've been to like 4 or 5 Gamerushs in the past few days and I'm exhausted.

Oh, good score. Yeah its $10 at Circuit City. Bizarrely, they were actually marked as "$10.00" in the store I saw it in. Anyway, does anyone know if any of the cheap Best Buy games get any good value? Geist gets $12 and Killer 7 gets $10 so they're no good, but how about Beat Down (Xbox or PS2), Death by Degrees, etc? Some of them could have slipped through the system and still be holding at $19 or $24 :)

Damn, Shipwreck, you have an uncanny ability to pull these high trade-in gems out of a hat. How do you do that? My credit has been seriously depleted these last few days, so I could use something like this - thanks!

By the way, it seems they have adjusted trade-in prices on the sale games. Metroid Zero Mission fetches a whopping $2 - I bet even EB would beat that. I had bought a used copy several weeks back and just got a new one so I wanted to dump it. I was hoping it would be at least $5 or $6, so $2 was a bit of a shock.
 
Aww, I just went by GR and they didn't have any Gameboy Players. I asked them to call another store close by, and again, no dice.

What a shame, as I really wanted to pick one of these up since day one, but anything more that $25 isn't worth it to me. I might try the reg. BB tommorrow.
