OK you guys are gonna love this one...I went into GR looking for Lumines, and they had one new copy, in a display case at the front of the store which I guess is for their big ticket games, they have all their new & used 360 titles, as well as 360 accessories and PSP stuff. So I asked the guy to open it up so I could get Lumines, and he brings a bunch of keys over and none of them will open the case. After a discussion with some other employees, turns out they think the key has been stolen and there's nothing they can do. So, yeah, way to go Gamerush, nobody can buy anything 360 or PSP related from this particular store until someone gets off their ass and calls a locksmith (don't see the odds of that happening anytime soon!).
Wait, did you read my story about the guy trying 50 keys and finally, on the last one, 30 minutes later, opening the case? Funny stuff, this business about locking up the cases so well they can't sell anything.
Anyway, I was able to score a Galleon and Flatout today and trade them in. Still $19 and $27 respectively as of Saturday (May 20).
However, a warning on the Flatout. Since I wasn't sure the PS2 version was $27 I did the Galleon trade and asked to check on the price of Flatout (since I "forgot it in the car"). They couldn't figure out how to do it at first and it looks like they pulled up the sale price (not sure if new or used) and it is $29.99. So I thought I was going to have to return the Flatout (I was expecting a trade-in price of $14 or so). However, when they finally were able to get the trade-in price it was, in fact, $27. But if the sale price has really dropped to $29.99 (and I'm not positive since they were confused as to what they were doing) the trade-in price will drop soon (Tuesday or Weds?).
So if you pick any up (or have them sitting around) get them in ASAP.
