- As has been said, it starts on July 19th. I cannot remember offhand the date that it ends.

- Trade any 2 games, get any preorder for $29.99. I forgot to check if XBox 360 games are included in the deal, but as most people have already stated, I highly doubt it.

- The two games that are traded in for the deal must retail for at least $7.99 each (preowned price).

- The credit can still be applied towards the $29.99.

Preorder Lists (Dates are subject to change and when those changes happen up date us in the thread and I will try my best to update here in OP so people won't have to read through the thread to find them)- Credit to io for supplying these lists.

This should have alot of stuff so please just search around the website before asking questions. Website updates happen but most deals are in effect way before they are updated on gamerush.com so check in the thread for the newest deals.

Just picked up my pre-order from GR of Battaltion Wars. I don't see where these negative opinions of Battaltion Wars are coming from, I'd say the reviews are right on the mark, the game rocks!

I called mine again, and they actually told me that they have 4 copies of Battalion Wars on order, but they don't know when they will get them in.

Has anyone heard when Ultimate Spiderman will be at GR?

I just got back from a GR and was quite surprised. 40 cents for 1080 Avalanche, Pikmin 2(!?), and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. Needless to say I didn't trade those in. Also with the delayed shipment of some key Nintendo releases, I'm starting to wonder if times are changing there and doing business there has come to an end. I finally canceled my PO for Batallion Wars, and will do the same with Spiderman if it isn't in my hands come Tuesday....

Wow, looks like GameRush may start to follow in EB/GameStop trade values soon. Hopefully they continue to have a limited exclusion list (old sports games). I just hope they have a 360 deal soon OR they drop the prices on the 1st party 360 games so I can per-order PDZ, PGR3, Kameo

What is going on with Indigo Prophecy? Both Ebgames.com and Gamefaqs say it's coming out on 9-26. I thought the game came out this week? Maybe Gamerush might still get it in.

Holy crap! .40 for Pikmin 2 and DK Jungle Beat is crazy. Damn EB style trade in values!

I really hope they don't change a lot of games down to crappy trade in prices like GS or EB... then again we did get plenty of good deals out of them, over about a year of awesomeness. So I guess we shouldn't complain.

40 cents? WTF! That's worse than EB and GS combined! This sucks since I was about to trade in some games. I'll find out for myself, otherwise I might have to eBay them or use the trade-in deal EB has for now.

Curious if that has more to do with their stock of the game, than anything else. I know that Pikmin 2 was selling for pretty cheap (under 20, I think?) when I saw it on the racks, so it can't be that they're making up for low retail.

Anyone else in a different region try to trade or call in and ask about the games reported to get 40 cents yet, so we can see if its a chain-wide change (instead of "we have 72 copies of Pikmin 2, so the trade in is now 40 cents")?
What is going on with Indigo Prophecy? Both Ebgames.com and Gamefaqs say it's coming out on 9-26. I thought the game came out this week? Maybe Gamerush might still get it in.
It did come out this week. I picked it up at Best Buy yesterday after price matching a Fry's ad. I thought the game was great, even though it was kind of short.

In the same batch I had a Metroid Prime 2 and a Windwaker and they have more than each of those on the shelf in the store than of Pikmin 2. I think they gave me like 12 for MP and 8 for WW. The heck of it is that I was going to exchange a bunch of discs and get a GB Micro and went to GR because they usually have better trade in values. With the 40% at Gamestop and the extra $5 each at EB they aren't even close.
It sounds like they don't want GC games. I wouldn't freak out just yet.......
Well, I trade alot of GC games, so this would freak me out. I'm calling tomorrow and asking the trade-in price of Pikmin 2 to verify this... I've never heard of a current-gen trade-in price at GR less than $1. GC games usually get a bit MORE than their counterparts at EB because they tend to be scarcer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Pikmin 2 retail at 50$ still? I just can't believe that. Even crap like Fantavision and other 4.00 games from GS trade in for higher than that.

I went to my local GR in Dallas, TX over the weekend to trade in some GC games, had no problem with any of the titlees except for Lemony Snickets GC. I bought it at the BB sale and thought I would at least make my money back at GR, but I was wrong. The trade in value was .40 :( This is the first time a trade had ever been so low. They must be lowering the trade in price of games they either have a lot of, or know they won' t sell. Really can't complain though, still made a $30 profit from the games I did trade in.

The only real complaint I have is that I preordered BW and they still haven' t gotten it in. I have no patient when it comes to release dates on games.

Another recent change at my local GR...as of this weekend, a large portion of high-profile N64 games were marked down to 99 cents (75 cents after discount). I managed to get Mario 64, Wave Race, Pokemon Snap, and Turok 2 for 75 cents each (cart only). I talked to the manager, and she said these changes had just come down the pipe Sunday morning...I was just fortunate to get to the store right after it opened ;-)

Note that this isn't all N64 games, though...Mario Party was still $10, etc...but I'd say 2/3rds of the N64 games at my GR in Lake Mary, Florida were marked down.

Good to hear. Maybe I'll find a gold mine at my GR of Harvest Moon 64 or Tactics OGre/Battle...whatever 64. I'm going up there today to preorder BF2: MC for PS2 :)() and I'm going to pick up Lockdown from Best Buy for $24.99. ^.^ After that I've still got loads of money leftover from my birthday. TRU Buy 2 Get 1 Free Sale couldn't come any slower. :'(

As of last night, Doom 3:CE still gets $30. I was surprised that it was still that much. Just beat it the other day. Sucky ending. I traded it along with Mickey Mouse and the Magical Mirror GC (got $3.00) and PO'd Fire Emblem GC. Anyone know if you'll be able to use the D-pad in FE GC (like you do in the GBA FE)? If not, I don't know if I'll get it.

I asked about these.
ALL of the following trade values were $3.00 a piece.

Beyond Good and Evil (PS2) = 3
BloodRayne 2 (Xbox) = 3
Wolfenstein: Tides of War (Xbox) = 3
Midtown Madness 3 (Xbox) = 3
Mickey Mouse and the Magical Mirror = 3

I took up a Waverace and a WWF (black cart), they were priced at $.99 but rang up for $6.99 and $4.99. The girl had already scanned the 75% off coupon when I pointed out the price stickers.

She adjusted the price, she took $10 off the original prices. So we ended up getting Mario Kart 64, WWF, and Waverace for $7 total with tax.

Edit: A small note, we got these on Saturday.

Ok I got a surprise today at my GR in Redlands, Ca. I've had good luck preordering X360 games there so I went today intending to preorder another one. Well the luck ran out! The CSR said he couldn't do it because they had gotten an email about it blah, blah, blah. Anyway, I had 3 games to trade: PS2-March Madness 2005 and Mat 1
Xbox-Burnout 3 takedown.
I was doing 3 games because I wanted to get close to 29.99 credit for the preorder. So after he told me I couldn't preorder he said "since you have 3 games here you'll get the 25% bonus"! Right on! I even mentioned that I thought that deal was over and he said no it isn't. That I could get the bonus when trading from 3 to 10 games. I walked out confused but happy. Each game got me $10 credit after bonus.

Oh, forgot to mention that I picked up Psychonauts for xbox used. $36 after tax. I've been looking for that one for a long time now.

picked up my preorders this past weekend.

Tiger Woods 06 - xbox
xmen legends 2 - ps2
burnout revenge - ps2
mk shaolin monks - ps2

mk sm is a pretty cool game. is it me or are most games nowadays based on this 3d adventure game model?

Picked up KUF today, but no luck on Battalion Wars. Now it's got a release date this Wednesday. Also Indigo Prophecy now shows retail copies are shipping, but since I picked up a copy at Best Buy on Saturday I canceled my preorder.

Still no 49.99 360 games. The manager there said even when they become 49.99 that they won't allow them to be preordered, so I don't plan on asking anymore.
Bah, I wish I had a Gamerush near me, all I have are Blockbusters.
why fret? blockbuster only locations have the same promotions. you could set up a trading account with them too.

Hmmm, I wonder why no 360 pre-orders with that deal. The fine print only says pre-order ANY game $49.99 or less.

Probably cause there weren't any 360 games in the system when the deal started.

You could probably get some stores to honor the pre-order deal I'm thinking. Because their flyers do say ANY game $49.99 or less. Probably be YMMV but I'd give it a shot. There's nothing to lose really.
why fret? blockbuster only locations have the same promotions. you could set up a trading account with them too.
I didn't think you can preorder from BlockBusters, only trade.

Oh... I could have sworn that BB got in new games. I just assumed that they let you preorder them... sorry.

I inquired about the same thing near me. It pretty much boiled down to the manager having to overide 360 games for the preorder to work. (I guess the promotion barcode will exclude 360 games no matter what the cost even when a few drop to 49.99 :(

Oh well....looks like I'll just have to wait for 360 games. I'm sure they'll have another deal in the future...I have games to unload here.

No verification of this yet today? Well, read on...

The GOOD:

- Picked up Ultimate Spiderman for GC today

The BAD:

- No Battalion Wars yet.

The UGLY:

- They are giving 40 cents for the following Gamecube games, at least (in addition to the ones bskeillor mentioned): Pikmin 2, Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance (I got $8 for it a couple weeks ago), and Fifa Street (I got about $16 that a few weeks ago). Final Fantay Crystal Chronicles was still $8-$10.

So it certainly isn't ALL Gamecube games. I also seriously doubt it is ones they have "too many" of. Has anyone seen this with any PS2 or Xbox games? They certainly have too many of some of those! They are up to something with the Gamecube. Wish we still had some GR insiders to tell us what was happening.

You'd think Xbox games would all go to 40 cents or whatever given that the Xbox 360 is coming out soon. Gamecube games will still be good even when the Revo comes out because of the full backwards compatibility.

Also, if they were clearing out space by getting rid of Gamecube games, you'd think they would sell them cheaply. Fifa Street is still selling for $34.99. UNLESS those games are GOING to be on sale, maybe starting tomorrow - like maybe clearanced for $1? That would be the only reason I could think they would drop to 40 cents. If that is the case, I'll be clearing out their used GC section :D.

So, either they are up to something strange, or this was some mistake - perhaps they meant to adjust a bunch of GC game prices and entered $0.40 by mistake. It would be nice for everyone here to grab a few more GC games next time you are in GR and have them scan them for trade-in. Let's see how widespread this is, and if it lasts past the usual Tuesday price update.

OK, I also had a normal trade/preorder experience (because I saved my GC Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance for EB, where it will fetch $8 with the bonus, $1 MORE than the PS2 version by the way).

PS2 - Auto Modellista: $3
Xbox - Crash 'N Burn: $6.75

Preordered Virtua Tennis for PSP.

Thanks for the tip, I got Waverace for a buck today, stupid cashier forgot the coupon, oh well.

Oh yeah...Virtua Tennis, I may have to get that...although, not sure if I want to pre-order a $40 game...decisions to make.

Yeah, I hesitated, but I figured PSP games are rarely on sale/clearance, so it would be a while before I'd be able to get it for less than $30, particularly using GR credit :D. And of course, they are VERY good with their PSP game deliveries (unlike GC), so no worries about getting the game late.

But decide quickly - it comes out next week.

Went to trade in GC games today. I live in Apopka, FL.

Viewtiful Joe - $0.40
Gladius - $0.40
Metal Gear Solid - $7.00

Ah well, this sucks. I guess I'm gonna be going to EB soon to get an extra $3 each for 3 trade-ins.

On the plus side, I did buy my Nintendo DS today. I'm excited for Mario Kart and Animal Crossing. :)

Yes, they are definitely driving us GC people off to EB aren't they? Unfortunately you have to do those EB trades by Friday (to get the bonus).

And to answer Tubapro1, yes, anything at $3 should be OK, unless you get the uninformed employee who insists that the games have to TRADE IN for $7.99 or more.

DAMNN! according to an earlier post Gladius traded in for $18.50 just Saturday. Looks like they're wising up to us CAG's!

Well, if they dropped it to $6.75 I'd say they wised up to us CAG's. $0.40 is just insane - they are up to something (clearancing out GC games, or who knows what).

On a good note, the Ultimate Spiderman (for Gamecube you GR types who lurk here - I buy Gamecube whenever I can!) that I picked up today is pretty fun. My son and I had a lot of fun playing it this evening. We still need to finish Spiderman 2, and the new Hulk game as well, but oh well... Too many games, too little time. I still want my damn Battalion Wars though :D.

I am just looking to maximize my trade in credit as of right now...where is the best "deal" for the following:

R6 Lockdown
SC: PT
Tiger Woods 06
Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance
Ghost Recon 2

GR will probably be ~$85... what about EB?

You would probably get the most at GR.
