GameRush generally changes trade-in prices on Tuesdays, so a trade-in price from Monday may mean nothing now.

my gamerush store has BF:MC in i just havent picked in up yet cause i figured i'll pick it up when i go to work at 5 anyway, also i processed someones trade for blitz yesterday i think it was like 20 or so

AAAH!!! My GR didn't have BF2: MC for Xbox, they only had the PS2 versions. WTF is that?! How can you only get one system of a game in? That doesn't really make any sense at all... if they don't have it in by tomorrow when I go and pick up RE4 I'm complaining. It says on their site that they should have gotten BF2 in today but they didn't! I've been waiting for this game since Summer, and some people that didn't even preorder the game got it YESTERDAY! AAH!!!
 
Hmmm, I wonder if I can get luck and pre-order Path of Neo for $60-$30 then switch that to a 360 game for free....that would be nice.

I should pick up my BF:MC2 and GTA:pSP tomorrow

GameRush sells Xenosaga II new for $19.99, so $6 in trade-in sounds about right. I would think $12 for a game they'll sell used for $16.99 or less seems a little high.

I think the limited edition of Path of Neo has been cancelled, there's no mention of it on the EB or Gamestop site. This poses the question - will those of us who pre-ordered the Limited Edition be given the regular edition at Gamerush, or will we get nothing at all?

That was at regular Blockbuster, right? Probably a similar deal to their $24 trade in for D2R2 instead of $27. Guess I'll see if they have any Xenosagas at TRU so I can trade in something different with my PS2 D2R2s. And of course I'll have to pick up something else worth trading in for my free game.

I traded those games in today (Tuesday), and Xenosaga II was $12.

I've been wondering about that myself. Unless for some weird reason the LE is only available to GR, but I doubt it. If they did cancel it, I'll switch my preorder for a X360 title and preorder the regular version or buy it later.
 
wow I can't believe GR is still giving 27 for d2r2. I don't think I'll take advantage of this anymore though. Stil it's tempting to take my receipt to best buy and have them price match it.

Still no X-Men Legends 2 (I gave up expecting that one in, exchanged a buy 2 get 1 free game at TRU for it there), no GTA for PSP (why would you overnight Battlefield 2 but not the hottest PSP game yet????) and no Metroid Pinball.

You know, looking back, it wasn't even worth my time and effort to do the D2R2 trades, because GR is getting very shitty about even getting this product in now. I did the preorder deals expecting the games to come in the day their website says: I know Gamerush is slow as balls, but seriously, why would they not want GTA out by release?

I am just baffled by how horrble that organization is run. I told myself I'd never step foot into their store again, but this huge payout on D2R2 was too good to be true... it's not worth it if I'll never get the games though, or days later then everyone else.

What gets me is that they got The Con on release day, but no GTA or X-Men Legends 2. They should really change their name to Gameslow instead of Gamerush. Even TRU got in GTA before Gamerush now.

They usually get their games by Wednesday. It's really not that big of a deal since you save so much money by shopping there. I don't mind waiting the extra day or two when I'm getting new games for under $20 a pop.

Usually is the keyword... X-Men Legends 2 STILL isn't in, who knows when GTA could be in, espically since their own website says today. The extra day means alot to me because I only have a small window to get there tommorrow, so I was really hoping they'd get it today like every other store around here. It just gets me that you can preorder a game and they really have no hard date for it... GTA might come tommorrow, it might come Friday, might come next week, nobody really knows (as was the case with X-Men Legends 2).

I mean, when customers are paying in full for this stuff, at least give them a date. Plus the fact that GR is about 15 minutes away, I hate the fact I have to make multiple trips up there, because if I don't go in when they get the game in they will sell my preorder by "accident" (happened once before) because they only get in about two copies.

Wow - hey, you came up with a game I have not been asking about. I will add that to my list of games to check for in the system. I doubt it is in there since they tend to add GC games only well after they have firm release dates (with the exception of Zelda). But you never know...
 
My GR is selling Xenosaga 2 for $34.99 (could be an outdated tag though), so the $12 I got seemed about right.

Anyone know Fire Emblem Path of Radiance's trade-in price? It was great the first couple of missions, but it is starting to get extremely repetitive to me.

Hmm... if that's the case, I should probably start to play that. I've never played the GBA ones, so I don't have anything to go on. Need to find out if I like it or trade it while the trading is good.

Wow, that teaches me to ignore games based on goofy names. A strategy pinball games with little soldiers that respond to voice commands? I am now all over that. Luckily GR will be extending the trade deal to new releases too, so I can worry about that after I make sure I have my DS bundle credit saved up; if that 11/15 date is even accurate.

Anyone know what D2R2(PS2), Tron 2.0, and Xenosaga 2 get at non-GR Blockbusters? I know io got quoted $6 for X2, can anyone verify that today or otherwise recently?
 
What are the chances of Gamerush getting Gunstar Super Heroes this week? I got 62 in credit to kill, and I'll just pick up Metroid Pinball and that and be done with it... my spider senses tell me Gamerush is too good for Treasure games though, same way they are for Atlus games.

Was it even available for preorder?
 
I was in toys r us today just to casually do the buy 2 get 1 free deal. Then I saw some dead to rights 2 for xbox and I said to my friend "hey I think these trade in for good money at gamerush". So we each got two and another game at that very moment an arabic guy walks in and says (ala apu) "give me all of your dead to rights 2's!!!" The TRU guy goes in the back and brings out a stack of 10 of the ps2 ones and 3 xbox copies. Hoarding at its finest.

So anyway when we took the games to gamerush the employee said "someone was in here earlier said he bought(?) this game on a website called cheapassgamer cause he heard we give good credit for it." So a big thankyou to the idiot who's dropping names at the farmington gamerush.

Hey I'M GOING TO THE WESTLAND TRU! :D Please leave some copies there for me. :D And my GR got in Metroid Prime Pinball (DS) today, so I guess it really varies, even when you're in the same state. o_O If they don't have BF2:MC in tomorrow for XB and not just for PS2, I'm going to flip. And if they don't have RE4 in there tomorrow for PS2, I'll downright kick over every single game stand I see in there. RAWR!!

It's an outdated tag. They just dropped the price to $20 sometime over the past week.
 
The TRU on Gratiot in MI had maybe 2 copies of D2R2 left....I bought 1 of each. I'm not going to abuse the system though, since they are good to me at my GameRush.

Any THE WARRIORS trade value yet...I'm hoping $30-$35

Also, any update of the 1st party 360 games yet? Still $60?

Damn, I swear they are worthless to call... they just look at the board or in the computer and tell me the 28th (which is Friday). Why the hell would GR get Metroid Pinball in (as Aolat said, his GR got it in) but not GTA??

Haha, don't worry, I can't really see my mom hoarding copies, if she even goes - she doesn't want me to get credit for a DS, she wants me to work on my thesis. But you never know...

I was just in the Rochester Hills Gamerush and the Warriors was $35 for the xbox on the board. Didn't the game just come out? You finished it already?
 
Oh and by the way the following TRU's are cleaned out of D2R2(partly thanks to me and my friend who were inspired by the arabic guy to get more copies):

seven mile and middlebelt in livonia (arab guy bought 10000 copies)
telegraph and ??? in southfield (near circuit city, best buy, and meijer)
the westland TRU across from the mall (which reminds me has anyone been to the indoor go-kart place right by this one? is it any good?)
novi near twelve oaks - im guessing wshakspear/whatever his new name is hit this one because it was the only one without a single copy when we got there

There were 5 left as of 2 days ago at Novi. I got 3 at pontiac and 3 here, both times leaving plenty for others. im nice like that :)
 
Anyone know if GR is getting Taito Legands?

Brighton GR still did not get GTA: LCS and said that it will be here on the 28 (aka Friday...) morons. Also they still will not let me change DDS:2 to another game. Even though it has been out for thee weeks and they still have not "recieved" their copies...I pre-ordered this before I knew that GR did not get Altus games.

Thanks....$35 is nice. Yeah, it was about a 10 hour game. I still have afew side missions I can do if I want....I basically beat the game all the way through though. Not 100% completion rating, but I don't see myself going back through it. Fun game though.

Nevermind, I think it should be DTR2 but whatever. Check the lansing(Okemos) TRU, they had 4-5 copies as of last Friday. Damn, I wish I'd known this was a good trade in game...

I proceeded to drive the 25 minutes it takes to get there...guess what? She was mistaken, they got in 3 copies of the PS2 version....the manager went on vacation yersterday (io -- 2-3 weeks to Africa) so the only thing she could offer me was a free non-new release movie rental for her mistake....I went to my locad Fred Meyer afterwards to "rent" one from them until I can get mine at Gamerush, but of course they have it listed as availabe November 6.

Haha... But D2R2 is easier to type, for whatever reason. I swear, if GR doesn't adjust the trade value on this game next week, we're gonna have to append it to the abbreviations FAQ.

Although I still think "R2-D2's cousin" is a good answer to that question.

At least yours has rental copies, mine has nothing. FREAKIN Toys R Us has a shelf full of them but damn GR has none! I'm getting sick of my Blockbuster, I should have just bought Battlefield at TRU and then returned the GR copy for my money back tomorrow or wednesday. I didn't think of it though until I was home.....

Exactly.

Why does my local TRU have all the games in yet a game store dosen't?? I returned one of my copies of D2R2 I had found (forgot to trade it) back to TRU... it's not worth it dealing with GR's bullshit anymore, at least for me.

Just please let them have GTA and Metroid Pinball tommorrow so I can finally be done.... that whole X-Men Legends 2 fiasco has burned me like you wouldn't believe. Hell, it's one of the two reasons I even traded in the games, to get this for cheap, I just assumed they had it since it's a hot release.

I'm not sure how some of you frequent Gamerush shoppers don't pull your hair out over this kind of stuff. I mean, really, I feel bad for the people who preorder at full price with no deal because they expect to get the stuff in on time.

Only reason I put up with it is because I can get new releases for $10-$20 cash. Getting them for the price I would have to wait a year to pay is worth a few days lost. But honestly, once I have my DS, and maybe a few games via the trade 2, get new release for $30, I'm probably done for a while. Until their next too-good-to-pass-up deal comes along.
