Game Pass

Rent unlimited games for a month. You can have one game (or 2 depending on the pass) out at a time and can return it whenever you want and switch it out as many times as you want.

$21.99 for 1 Game

http://www.gamerush.com/rules_gamepass.php click this link to find out about gamepass at Gamerush.

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).

Went to GR, picked up the last sealed copy of Phoenix Wright (and i've already put it on ebay, lol). They still have Devil May Cry 3 for $39.99 used (shouldve asked how much the trade in value was, but the price for Metal Gear Solid 3 was $19.99new/14.99 used.

I hate the fatass cashier that works nights at GR, i walk into the store and he says "come to give us more Kuon's?" *pulls out shotgun*.

Surprised they haven't flagged you.

I hope that DMC 3 still has some crazy high trade value tommorrow, it should be at least $15 - $18.

LOL like the last guy said if they know you by the game you trade i'm surprised you haven't been banned yet.

He's actually the only person to say anything, the other day (when i traded my last kuon in) he asked how many copies i had, i said "dont worry, this is my personal copy, so it'll be the last". He didnt respond. I think im gonna lay low for a week or two with the trading, at least at that location. Ive always wanted to go to the Wesley Chapel store.

are the trade-ins normally supposed to include tax? a few posts down on the previous page. someone mentioned getting $51 credit for kuon and echo night?
are the trade-ins normally supposed to include tax? a few posts down on the previous page. someone mentioned getting $51 credit for kuon and echo night?
It varies by state I guess as some people say they dont get it. I live in KY and at every GR i've traded at I always receive tax credit. I don't know why nor do I care...;)

My receipt reads:

ps2-kuon $24.00
ps2-echo night $24.00

Tax $2.88
Total $50.88
Tendered value card $50.88

crap... just realized i have another kuon and echo night beyond lying around here... hope the price doesn't drop too much tomorrow...!!! when's the ps3 preorder at GR supposed to happen?

have a few questions cags.
Galleon, kuon, and EN trade in values have not changed as of today, i plan on picking a few of them up.

I know I can trade them in at multiple blockbusters, but what do they give, cash or store credit. I read a bit about a value card, do I ask for that and can it work at a GR.

However, there are no GR near me, but tons of blockbusters, but if I do get credit, it will be up for sale, thanks cags.

p.s.
there is a gamestop right next door to a blockbuster, should I avoid any transactions between them.

I go between the stores occasionally, no big deal. Value cards can be used at either store, basically a way of keeping all your credit in one place (I'm not sure, but it seems that if you trade at multiple stores, any credit on your account can only be used there). They don't give any cash, only credit.
so the credit I get at a store can only be used at that store with the value card, or can i use the value card at any store
Value card is good anywhere, I'm unsure of any credit left on your account.

No current deals at GameRush seems like it might be one of the Four Horsemen...

And does anyone know what happened to Black and White Creatures for DS? They used to have a listing on EB and GS, now they only have an old listing at EB that still shows 49.99. I don't see anything for the PSP version either. Did this get cancelled or extremely delayed? I thought at one point it was also on the GR preorder list.
Hehe, when I first clicked on this thread today it took me right to your post and I had missed all the Florida trade-in procedure BS. I was wondering what, in the hell, this had to do with GR tradeins! :D

As far as trading in at a regular BB in Florida, I think someone mentioned they don't take them, but I have no personal knowledge. There are so many GameRush stores in the area, I never have a reason to go into a plain BB.

My primary store is the only store in my normal pattern that has a dedicated GameRush employee working when I go in. Most of the others either use the desk for storage or they walk over from the main rental desk to do the trade.
so the credit I get at a store can only be used at that store with the value card, or can i use the value card at any store
whenever you trade you will want to have the credit applied to a value card (either on one card, or multiple depending on your preference). if you plan on just selling the credit instead of using it you might not make out as you plan. i could be wrong though. people have been getting credit at around 40-50% cash value. but then again ebay is a strange beast.

Instead of selling the credit on ebay (which could be a hit/miss thing, as sometimes ppl pay $5 below value of card, sometimes people pay $50 below value of card), you may be better to just buy games (i recommend Phoenix Wright, costs $29.99 new, sells for $35-55 on ebay) or systems to sell on ebay.

If you buy systems, i'd recommend the DS. Its the only system ive seen on ebay that gets close to retail value (especially if you're lucky enough to find the Teal Nintendogs, or Red Mario Kart DS's)

are the teal nintendogs/mariokart bundles really worth that much on ebay. if so i might have to start getting in on fleabaying. or not. i did buy the marioparty7 bundle and sold that for cost to coworkers who were going to buy one anyway. easiest way to get cash is to buy stuff for people you know (and trust) and deliver items for cash.
so the credit I get at a store can only be used at that store with the value card, or can i use the value card at any store
you can get credit either on your account or placed on a value card. If you get it on your account, you can only use it at that store, but you can't lose it. If you get it on a value card, you can use it at any BBV/GR, but if you lose it you lose.
people have been getting credit at around 40-50% cash value. but then again ebay is a strange beast.
GR/BBV credit sells for at least 75-80% value on eBay. when people say "I got xxx game for $30 GR credit, $15 real cash," that's because they're using the cost of the game that they trade in for credit. Usually you can get 2 for 1 or better on your money by trading in at GR.

I've had credit on my account and have used it at different stores before.
are the teal nintendogs/mariokart bundles really worth that much on ebay.
The Teal one goes for $150-250 on ebay, if you're really lucky and find a Pearl Pink one, that goes for $300-350 on ebay. THe Mario kart ds goes from $130-170 (which is pretty good for an ebay console price)

For those who have traded in KOF: MI for PS2... do you need to trade in the whole box set or just the game disc? Probably gonna pick up a copy or two this weekend that have been sitting around at another TRU for eternity, unless the value drops this week.

I always did the whole box.

You get less for the game disc only - do the whole box, and make sure they scan the barcode on the outside of that.

The new title of this thread makes me sad inside :whistle2:(

Yep, and I'm tempted to move this over to the deal discussion board now, but I'll wait to see if any new deals pop up next week.

I preordered it - it was one of the games I wanted to switch to another preorder, but GR only has it listed for $39.99 so they wouldn't let me switch it to a $50 preorder game. I'm waiting, hopefully, that a preorder deal will return and then I can switch it to something else. Same with Age of Empires.

But as for when it actually comes out, if at all, I have no idea. I also have the PSP version preordered at GR, and ditto on that...

Edit - Ship, of course, I'd want it to stay here for a bit anyway. GR HAS to bring some deal back, or, like Botticus implied, this is the beginning of the end and the thread can be killed off for good. But it will probably take a few weeks to be sure.

Looking at the post after mine, $30!!!! WHAT, they rasied the prices for those? That would be utterly insane of GR .
Edit 2 - Wait, you wouldn't happen to be in SoCal, would you? $24 + 25% extra = $30. Are they STILL running the 25% extra promo there? That is also insane, and very very unfair :).
Glad to see prices didn't drop....I may try to find an EN or KUON to trade after work.
Same here! Last night both Echo Night and Kuon were $30 each over in my neck of the woods!

as to trading in games disc only: none of the games i have traded in disc only were any less than complete copies would trade in. They just type in the name of the game and give you whatever it would scan at. easy peasy. i wonder how they would take it if i came in with 2 copies of kuon and echo night to trade in and try also for the extra 25%. seems evil and awesome to boot.

edit: late on the bandwagon on ENB and Kuon. 14 (18 @ 125%) dollar profit on a 10 dollar investment not including taxes seems fairly nice. thanks for the deal.

In the case of trading in just the game disc for KOF:MI or the two disc set, though, there are definitely two different prices. It didn't use to be that way, but they changed it sometime during the summer.

My store does NOT take DISC ONLY anymore....I'm almost positive I saw a sign for that. Not sure if they put it up, but they will only take with original case. So, hopefully GameStop has the games with everything.

Well, as far as KOF goes, I was more implying only trading in the single DVD case as opposed to the 2-disc box, wasn't sure if they considered that the same game or not. But I will just plan on trading in the whole shebang if I get to it in time.

I'm just hoping GR comes through with some sort of preorder or new game deal again in the next few weeks (and that they don't try to sell AOE DS for $40)... as it is, I'll probably need another $60 or so in credit to cover the remainder of the games on my wishlist through March, and I'd rather not trade in anymore Kuon or Echo Night.

Edit: Crap... realized I could have used my extra 10% off coupon from Game Informer last night, saved another $4. Ah well. I wasn't totally sure they'd still be getting $24, so I probably wouldn't have wanted to have wasted it if I need to return them. Hopefully I can find something else I need at GameStop before that goes away.
Ouch... costs $17.99 at both EB / GS though.
Only $10 at Toys R Us ($8 if that TRU is closing) though.

Crap, that game? I just saw that at my TRU, didn't think it would get anything. Guess I'll be picking that up then.

Well it looks like it's time to put on your coats and jump in the car for another trip to Toys R Us kids. I just checked the trade in price of Geist and they fixed their error. Geist now trades for $24 at GR.

Time to empty out TRU now.

Or you could trade it in to gamestop for 13 and get a kuon which also trades for 24, and depending on tax you get around 2 bonus dollars (13 - 10 - tax = 2.XX) which is enough to buy an old sports game. BONUS!
If any cags are intersted, I can sell Kuon and EN, i can get a hold of many. might not be worth it though, prices might change soon.
If you have read through this thread my friend you would know that these two games haven't dropped in trade-in value for more than seven months so I doubt they will change it anytime soon because normally they change the price when their is a price drop on the game but guess what? their isn't going to be one anytime soon.

So let me get this straight these are $19 to $24 bucks in credit at GR:

$24
Gungriffon Xbox ($9 Toys R Us) $14 Profit
Echo Night Beyond PS2 ($9.99 Gamestop) $14 Profit
Kuon PS2 ($9.99 Gamestop) $14 Profit
Geist GC ($8 Toys R Us) $15 Profit

$19
Galleon ($8.99 Gamestop) $10 Profit

This is fucking sweet, I wanted to stack up on credit so this will be awesome only thing that sucks is that they have no deals going on.

Tempting tempting tempting... ack, and i told myself i was gonna hold off trading for a while.... what to do what to do. Meh, ill let you take em all, i dont feel like having to drive to either Dale Mabry nor Fowler.

*edit*

Then again, i just got the call from Gamestop, my 360 has come in (*jumps up and down*) maybe i should rack up some credit and buy some more 360 games.
So let me get this straight these are $19 to $24 bucks in credit at GR:

Gungriffon Xbox (Not the best of bunch) $6 Profit

Geist GC ($8 Toys R Us) $15 Profit

As I stated a few posts back, Gungriffon is $8 or $10 at Toys R Us as well. And Geist is either $8 or $10 depending on whether the TRU is closing or not.

Ah well... Gungriffon was an empty slot on the shelf, so that's a shame. But traded in 2 Geists. Will probably get one or two more, depending on if I go to GR or just stick with my local BB (1 minute drive between TRU and BB). Then that'll probably be it as I've traded in more than my share of Kuon and Echo Night, unless I go get KOF this weekend. One more Geist should cover my preorders till March...
