GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

gecko, you're absolutely right. I'm going to go and try to fix that. Not sure what happened. One of my new updates must have broken that functionality. You can use the "DR Classic" page if you want. It seems to be working on there still :) Let me go see if I can fix that.

gecko, sure enough you were right and the new form wasn't letting people add in additional items. It has to do with something I added in with the new template so I'll look into that. For now, I'm rolling it to a couple of days ago so hopefully that won't bring up any new problems :) Like I said, this new system is in BETA ^_^ If you want a fool-proof method you can always use the DR Classic service, though it still is a lot more manual than the 2.0 page. Thanks for letting me know!

Just refreshed it looks like it`s working now, expect a new order shortly =)

PS: please read the addition comments box as well :)

I kinda of wanted to order it with my credit (if you need more, I got more gift cards) since I don't have my paypal balance in my account and it'll take 2 weeks to transfer X_x birthday is in 3 weeks -- and then have them directly ship it to me.

Your billing address, my shipping address (since, I believe that'll be cheaper than having them ship it to you first... $7 versus $4).

Awesome, thanks for helping me find that. If you notice anything else screwy on the site please let me know. Too many people assume I know all the mistakes in the coding :) There's quite a bit of new material so I'm likely to screw up sometimes. Thanks!

RoganSarine, I put in the order for you with my billing address and your shipping address. It went through. *Crosses Fingers*. We'll see :) I know Right Stuf Anime won't do it, but a lot of sites may. So hopefully it'll go through without any problem. Thanks again! I'll keep you posted.

Alright, PM me if anything explodes... I have a tendency to read other peoples posts and not ones that refer to me :p

Is there anything more you need in terms of balances?

goomba, Do you have steam? I'm trying to preorder the Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition and it won't accept instant transfer, only credit card, which I can't use. I was wondering if you'd be able to buy it for me and gift me the purchase.

Let me know ASAP... I waited until the last minute, so the preorder ends tomorrow and I'll miss out on the bonus stuff :)

The game is $59.99 - let me know how much of a service charge you are taking to I can pay in full right away. Thanks!

I absolutely do have steam :) Yes. I could definitely buy and gift to you. If you can send the money now please send to my Paypal address. Just add $2.00 to the total. I'm not sure if they charge tax or not, but I don't believe they do. Thanks!

Friendly Reminder: Today I will be picking up almost all of the Xbox Live Cards you guys ordered, so you should all be getting Emails from me today with your codes. If for some reason your particular cards are not in, then the status will be updated on the GYROS page accordingly. I got several deliveries of them today so we should be on the road to catching up with those :)

As for other packages, I will continue to process them as they come in. I got around 10 packages in today that I haven't gone through and will do so around 8:00 PM tonight when I get back to the office. Keep in touch and keep an eye out for Emails and/or GYROS updates ^_^ Thanks guys!

RoganSarine, looks like your bunny order has shipped! So I guess we're golden :) Let me know when you get it. Want to make sure everything worked out as seemingly perfect as it would appear. Thanks again!

Thanks spike32, I'm glad you like our new GYROS system. It's not perfect yet, but it's getting there ^_^ More and more real time every day. Oh and speaking of GYROS, you'll be happy to know that our GYROS robot now is finished.

Now he's looking a little healthier and less "sketchy" ^_^

haha yeah he was looking a bit sickly before. That's what I get for doing a quick 3 minute sketch on my tablet pc on a break. I did the cleanup without my tablet (using just a mouse) otherwise it would have been a little easier and quicker. Oh well :) I'm happy with the end results.

** GFC UPDATE: **

Great news everyone. I figured out the last piece of the puzzle on why some of your orders were dropping the address/name information. The thing was, that if you were not logged in, it would drop your information on the check out pages, which left me with 4-5 orders with no personal information.

The reason it was doing this was that it was pulling the variables from your user account. So when you entered them into a form (not logged in) it'd set your address and personal information variables, but on the checkout page it would reset the variables to whatever the defaults for the user login information was. Since you weren't logged in, it would set all of your information to blanks.

To counter-act this, I'm going to have to re-write a little bit of the script that I've been using for quite some time, but this is a good thing. Doing this will also mean I can experiment with some new things and hopefully get all the bugs out. Thanks again for all your help in this matter. If you come across anything outside of the norm, please let me know. I know there are still other bugs that will crop up, but it seems we've taken care of all the biggies (so far). Thanks!!!

Hey Goomba, just put in a package forwarding order for 30 Rock and Office from Amazon. Couldn't pass up those two at $16.99 apiece (especially considering they're $49.99 each up here).

Yup, I saw that :) Thanks Fanboy for following all the proper steps ^_^ I have just recently posted the Package Forwarding service on the website (since we have a lot of new users that don't know about it, and in particular RFD members who are new to join).

I appreciate your repeat business and am glad you're taking advantage of some great Amazon deals! Thanks again :)

No problem Rogan. Just hope it makes it to you quickly :)

I'm working on more behind-the-scene GFC updates ^_^ Making the system air-tight one day at a time!

Just ordered a pair of shoes and shipped it to your UPS address, Goomba

Hope you got my DR as a heads-up. Think I can get a shipping quote? Thanks!

I do Wal-Mart pick-ups, but the thing is the bing cash back can take up to 60 days to process. It is occasionally instant, but not guaranteed to be so. I also typically charge $3.00 for gas to drive to the nearest super Wal-Mart.

If you're interested then let me know. Thanks!

Guys, I got stuck in a 3-hour editing period again fixing up some things on the DR page. I have now named the page Direct Request Version 2.01 to reflect the new additions. Again, if you come across anything that looks broken or out of the ordinary please let me know immediately. It's not exactly fun spending hours of time to look for little bugs, but it is important. I just can't wait for the site to be fully functional 100% so I can start on the rewards program and other things :) Thanks and good night!

** GFC UPDATE **

Just wanted to let you guys know that today I'm starting the single biggest update the site has seen yet (even bigger than the 2.0 update). This will take me nearly a month to complete, but will be critically important as it will be the new backbone of how the site works and absolutely essential for the new upcoming rewards system and future store upgrades.

At the moment I've just started coding it, but given my experience with the other areas of the site, I have a better understanding of how to pull it off. More on this in the coming weeks :) Thanks again for all of your support. Lots more items shipping out tomorrow. Keep an eye on the GYROS and in your inboxes for shipping memos. Thanks!

Just received Dragon Age, thanks! By the way, when you ordered [#879 / 1225310406] the Das Keyboard, did you get any indication of the shipping time? Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 are wonderful and all, but I'm keyboard-less for the time being

Anyway, it's funny how far the site has come, and how much more you've got planned for it. I'm looking forward to it.

Vhalyar, I just received a long skinny box which I believe to be your keyboard. I'm going to go eat with the wife, do some dishes and wash the floor and then I'll be unpacking/packing items. I will let you know tonight whether or not my hunch is right :) Keep an eye on the GYROS page later on and if your item is here I'll Email you. Thanks!

so is the bing.com cash back a no-go then? or would i have to pay in full first, and then get refunded when they give you the cash back?

helluvagood, I'm still willing to do it. I can give you two options:

1) You pay in full, I give you the refund in 60 days.

OR

2) I give you half the refund up front, I keep the other half and we call it even.

Up to you :) Either way is fine with me. Please let me know what you want to do. Thanks!

Just for the record (and I'm not naming any names) but if you ever accuse me of trying to cheat you or something when I clearly have done everything by the books and been totally up front and honest with you, I will not be interested in doing business with you again in the future. Just saying....

Anyone interested in this? I got one for myself. Excellent deal!

$30.00 USD + $2.00 Service Charge + Shipping (not sure how much it'll be but probably less than $5 total).

This INCLUDES a Free Wii Speak which sells for $20 by itself. So essentially you're getting the game for $10. Not bad :) Let me know if you want one. They have a limited amount of the free Wii Speaks with this. It's a pre-order item that comes out in the end of February. Thanks!
Just for the record (and I'm not naming any names) but if you ever accuse me of trying to cheat you or something when I clearly have done everything by the books and been totally up front and honest with you, I will not be interested in doing business with you again in the future. Wow, sounds like an RFDer trying to take advantage of the USPS to Canada no tracking number deal or something similar (an assumption only). What a shame; hopefully it's just a slight hiccup though Goomba, I'm sure 99.98% of the people using your service appreciate it!

Jbently, nah it's nothing sinister. I just had a customer who ordered a game and thought I was not being honest with the condition that it was in, despite the fact I let them know before shipping it, after shipping it and even offered a full refund and/or swap for a sealed copy. I know they have nothing but good intentions, but it just hurt me a bit because I try VERY hard to make you guys happy =P Some days I spent almost 12 hours on my GFC business transactions and trust me, I'm not making very much doing it. It's a labor of love.

Just wanted that to be out there. If you don't trust my services or if you think I'm cheating you, don't do business with me. It's that simple. I have nothing to hide, and my feedback speaks for itself. Just don't want to waste your time or mine if you think my heart isn't in the right place. That's all :)

Oh and 99.9999999% of you guys do appreciate the service. No complaints here ^_^ Just wanted to let you know if that you don't like my service, nobody is forcing you to use it. You can tell me how to improve the service or if you find mistakes on the site, let me know and I can fix them. But if you think I'm out to cheat you, then it's a hopeless case because apparently I won't be able to convince you otherwise.

One more thing: I'm working a little on the Direct Request page right now, so if you experience any troubles just wait a minute or so. It's possible you are submitting things while I'm uploading updated versions of the site. I don't generally work on live sites but for small updates like the one I'm doing now, it's easiest. So just bear with me :) Only be a few minutes.

Hi Goomba. I don't have anything else to buy at the present, but I wanted to ask you about if/how you handle mail in rebates. Sometimes, some of the deals in the US are great, but only after MIR. Unfortunately, the MIR only work for US addresses. I wanted to ask about 2 situations:
1) If we order things through you, and it has a MIR, how would that work?
2) If we travel to the US and buy something that has a MIR, are we allowed to send you the MIR and have it processed under your address?
I'm not making very much doing it. It's a labor of love.
You're not kidding. Especially with the whole Steam thing, that seemed to take more than $2 worth of your time, and using your credit card on top of it, made me feel guilty I was only paying that much!!

I've only been using your services for like a month though and have already used your service like 5 times? I'm actually on Disability so money isn't horribly abundant but these are the things that really make life livable for me :)

I've kind of gone nuts in my opinion in this first month, but hopefully in the future I'll have a comfortable enough income to provide you with some more appropriate compensation.

I mean $3 to drive out to Wal-Mart? Even if it was right next door, it almost seems like you're shortselling yourself. But I guess you have to keep the prices at a level which still makes it a good deal to acquire certain things from the US, leaving you with little choice but to accept slim profit margins much of the time. Although some things (Zune HD comes to mind) are just not available in Canada at all and I was itching to get one (changed my mind for a Cowon S9 though, but then I held off... so many good features I want that none of the players have all of them, so I'm hoping for the next gen). But anyways, with items like this, I could definitely imagine tossing a bit more cash your way.

And as far as the Disability goes, it's required to be anticipated to be long-term, but the actual issues are by no means permanent, so hopefully down the road I can do this without feeling guilty every time

goomba beat me up and stole my lunch money! :boxing:

BEWARE!

How goes things? My side is going well although it's certainly not as well organized. Ai and I are always going crazy trying to keep track of all the addresses and people and stuff. Doesn't help that we have very little storage space as everything needs to be higher up where Ryu can't reach!

Anyway, I decided to go with the "pay what you think the service is worth" deal rather than a flat fee. It's worked out very well so far. A couple of times I have broken even, but usually I come out pretty good!

Sorry I don't communicate much... Too busy, you and I!!!

P.S. Thank to you, telepathy has become a regular customer! He's all about running me ragged on Yahoo Auctions!

JoJoBlue, Rebates are a sort of sticky situation. If it's something online that I can do I offer you the same type of deal: Either pay in full up front and when the rebate comes (60 days or so usually) I can give it to you in full. There is a SMALL risk that the money will not arrive as I've sent out a few rebates in the past and never received the rebate checks. Or, I can give you half the rebate up front immediately and I will do the processing and keep the other half of the rebate. This ensures you'll get your money right away with no risk to you. As for rebates on items you bought in the USA while down here, you can generally use my address for rebate purposes and I will send you the money once it comes in minus the $2.00 service charge. Though again, there is a small risk the check will get lost in the mail, so just keep this in mind. Many rebate companies are out to make it as difficult as possible to actually cash in, though 99% are reliable.

dv8mad, I'm SO glad to hear that things are going better for you guys and that you forgive me for beating you up. What can I say, I was hungry and just had to eat. It's human nature you know :) Glad there's no hard feelings!

Keeping organized is NOT easy and trust me, my place is quite small too. That's why I've been spending countless hours into developing the website. The way I look at it, It may take me a few hundred hours to get everything working great, but eventually I think it'll be worth it and it'll save me just as much time in the long run.

Oh and as for telepathy :) happy to bring you someone great! I haven't seen him in a while, and that would explain it ^_^ Best of luck. Keep me updated in your endeavors and if there's anything else I can do to help you out, just let me know. I can't offer much money (things are very tight here in the Goomba family as well) but if there's anything else I can do, just holler =) We'll talk again soon! Cya buddy.

I'm up and back at it. Processing some new manual DR's. Packing up some items and then I have to go to work at 1:00 PM EST. It sucks, because I was really hoping to watch the Apple event live but then I found out it was 10:00 AM PST...not EST. Oops :) Oh well, Now I'll have to desperately watch from the casino floor in the poker room. It's an exciting day for Apple/Tablet/iPhone fans!

unfortunately I don't have a wii thanks for finding the deal.

Well, not having a Wii would be a good reason not to get it :) Though I honestly recommend in the future you look into a Wii. Despite all the "waggle" hate you hear, there are actually some excellent games on the system. Maybe wait till Nintendo releases an HD Model. We all know it'll happen in the next generation of game consoles, and chances are it'll be backwards compatible.
