Gamestop Labor Day Yellow Tag Blowout

(Im back from the dead)

Gamestop will be having a yellow tag labor day videogame blowout. Thursday night each store's label printer will print up new stickers for 500 games to be retagged for Friday morning, and the beginning of the labor day game blowout sale.

The list of games will not be known until coorporate sends the stickers through thursday night, but get to your local GS this weekend for some hella deals :D

the only thing i know for sure is that the platnium hits of halo are going to be 9.99 new, thats all ive seen.

Well, I went to a GS in DFW today and asked about the sale. The guy told me they would have some really good deals, including Halo 2 for $10. I can't confirm this guy's reliability, but that's sure enough to get me excited and out there early on Friday. Here's hoping he's right.
 
they arent they are only marking the platnium hits version of halo 1 down to 10 dollars. As i told you people before its just a big mark down that they are passing off as a sale in order to attract more customers.
 
Anyone know if they can do price adjustments? I bought a used copy of Shin Megami Tensei:Nocturne last friday and will try if it was reduced in price. Can't wait..

Ok I just spoke with a GS clerk (im just repeating) he said that from what he heard it may be like 20% selected titles. Now don't bash me that is what he said and I'm just reporting.

This is not a chat room. I think out of common courtesy you would not post to a forum in that gibberish.

This GS sale is in a dead heat with the Wal-Mart $14.88 bin sale for worst-hyped deal of the year.

Markdowns at gamestop happen daily, like for a close to present instance, the new GH's for PS2 were marked down about 5+ days before major retailers took them down, so its not a big crapload of markdowns tehre waiting for. Not to mention they have sent alot of signage and yellow tags to all stores for this. I dont think itll just be some "general" markdown.

But then again, why do I care, the people saying this dont even work at gamestop :roll:

He was probably thinking of the trade in value prices

When you guys had the deal offering an extra X% for trading in titles - the trade in values went down to negate that.

What I typed was gibberish????? Do you not understand English? Which word that I typed is not proper English using proper grammar? With people like you, we should change the name of this site to DAG (Dumb Ass Gamers). Find one fault with my grammar/spelling/mechanics/English (with the exception of ENGLIGH, which I wrote intentionally) and you can be an English teacher.

ok, i was at GS yesterday, and i overheard the manager talking for quite a while on the phone and then with one of the employees about the sale and restructuring of the store. basically, this sale is an attempt to free up room that the (small) stores will need for the growing PSP library and upcoming 360 launch. from what i could hear from the manager (who seemed to know his shit, and also seemed to have one of the most organized GSs i've ever been in), the biggest necessity of things that need to go are the PS1 and computer sections. the PS1 section made sense to me, since there's really nothing new going on there at this point, and having that section seems like a hold over from the FuncoLand days of selling crap from every old system ever, but the computer section was a bit of a shock. is GS phasing out PC game sales? weird.

Just because you dumb down words doesn't not mean we should have to tolerate it.

Is it really that hard to type a few extra letters? It's not about intelligence, it's about speaking correctly. When you type like that, it makes it hard to understand what you are saying. That, in turn, makes your posts much less effective.
