Yeah, same thing happened to me i just let him keep talkin then after he added my pur card and insisted i trade towards a pre-owned game , baaaammm it popped up on the system and he said "oh looks like your pur card did do something" and he was shocked , mightve been why i called 2 hours later and he refused to let me trade in duplicate copys now hah . When i first call in the morning they were fine w/ doing duplicate /: but i didnt have any yet.

Yeah, better go to some other store and do it. I didn't buy anything from my store because of the way the pro sales dude was acting. Will prolly go after some time and get what I want.
 
So I'm assuming that the trade 3 get $10 bonus won't work with this deal? What if you are trading 3 games on the same transaction that aren't on the list? Or should I just do a separate trade in for those?

I'm pretty sure that skyrim from the Xbox bundle is just a download voucher so you wouldn't be able to trade it in.

From what I have learnt ,it won't work if any of the 3 games rings up for this.

Yeah I am going to trade in the one for ps3. I bought it like last year but never had the time to play. I have two options trade in my ps3 copy at gamestop or try to sell the digital copy to someone. Selling , is not my thing as I am too lazy . But I wish someone here could just pop up and buy it. So that's that.

Forza, still thinking. Should I give it a try or just trade it off?

Don't know much about wii games but I do know that as long as the game is the same one which is on the list GS doesn't care if you have a box or nothing on it. It works and is the same one , you are good!

Depends, if you ever want to replace the game, it'll be much easier to find a cheap disc-only copy than a cheap complete copy.

Try to sell it on ebay and have people buy it then back out of the sale when it's not the full game. Then repeat that process until you throw it in the garbage.

Will likely do 2x copy each store , i found 2 that are right across of eachother. So 40$ = 80$ in credit not badd

I have read people claim that too, but I haven't read about anyone attempt it. I guess if people have traded in 3 already it should've automatically applied, but maybe they would have to input the promo or it's only doable with an override.
 
Just to clarify for me...I HAVE to have the PUR card to do this? I can't just walk in and say hey I want to trade these games in and expect to get anywhere near these prices?

If that is the case....should I just become a member on the spot?

The free card gets you the tiv bumps. The silver gets you the bumps plus the extra 10%

There are two kinds of membership. Their is a free version and the pro version that coste $15 bucks. All you need is the free one to get these values. You are able to apply for the card on the spot while trading the games. The Pro does give you 10% more on your trades so if your trades are going to be over $150 bucks, getting the pro membership is a no brainer.
 
Ok...thank you for the thorough answer third guy. I will get the freebie then and just do the trade in. I really hate gamestop but too good to pass up.

I bought 4 Dead Islands and 3 Forza Horizons and went in to Gamestop the next day to trade them in and they had already lowered the trade in values to $20 and $10, I ended up getting $27 for each Forza and $13.50 for 3 of the 4 Dead Island because they had a 25% trade in bonus but I figured that would be the best I would ever get since I thought they would get a bunch of other trade ins and that would kill the price, I wish I would have waited a couple of weeks. I did trade in the 4th Dead Island that I was planning on keeping for myself and got the $21 for it though.

No they're not. They're helping themselves.

They get more people drooling at trading in the game they paid $60 for at $30, which they flip at $55. Don't lose your head here, guys, remember that they're in the business of their profits first, and you can probably get better value for these via other 3rd parties (eBay, Craigslist, forums here or elsewhere).

Sure, if you got a great deal on Black Friday, you might be able to flip, but that's only if they don't drop the prices in the next week or so.
 
I've got a weird question. I have 2 sealed Forza Horizons and ACIII, can I trade them in unopened or should I open them up first? I've never traded in a game before :whistle2:|

You need them opened. They don't accept unopened trade-ins.
 
Planning to get rid of AC3 tomorrow. I bought the PC version instead. The framerate in that game was just unbearable.

Might trade in Blops 2, $40 (+$4 PUR?) is pretty good.
 
Gonna trade in some things tomorrow. If none of the values change, I'll have $80. I don't know what to do with it though. There's nothing I really want and I'd rather not preorder anything from Game Stop.
