So I want DJ Hero 2 for X360 for $49.99. I called my closest GS who didn't have it in, so I called the next closest at my local mall (Concord Mills/NC). The guy told me they had one copy, and it was $69.99. I told him I had a flyer that made it 49.99, and he didn't really care. If I go in there with the Power Saver flyer, do they "have" to honor it?

Also, I didn't think about them, but I can also call the Northlake Mall GS if need be (for any locals who know it).

Yes they do. We have them for $49.99 because that's what they actually are. That guy is just an idiot. They will ring up as $49.99 in the computer so it doesn't matter what that guy tells you.

Interesting developments...I went in to a GS about 1 hour ago. Finally picked up MW2 for ps3 for 9.99. It started with me picking up a used White Knight Chronicles with a $30 dollar sticker on it. It rang up 19.99 at teh register...so the guy checked it out and said the sticker was supposed to be 20 dollars off, so he wouldnt honor it. he pulled out this master list of everything that was suppose to be discounted to double check it. While he had it out, I asked him what other used games were on sale. He said MAG used was supposed to be 10 dollars off and modern warfare 2 used was 20 dollars off...MW2 of course didnt ring up 20 off, so he pulled out another list from corporate that said things about glitches etc. Surprisingly, MW2 wasnt on there, so he let me have it at that price.

WTF is going on with GS lol. The prices of White Knight for $20 used and MAG $10 used are different than ANY other prices of those items mentioned in this thread...where is this YMMV coming from lol
 
I notice some games are crossed out in the OP, will these not be available at the sale prices anymore? I'm going in tomorrow to trade some games in, was gonna get some new games but if some of the deals are being pulled then I guess I'll just hold onto the credit for awhile

WKC and MAG are 14.99 each at my GS used after promo.

Used copy at my store also had a $10 off sticker on it, bringing it to 14.99.

Didn't know gamestop was phasing out PS2 games, at least in-store. So they're 10% off plus the PUR 10% plus the B2G1...filled some holes in my collection. Who knows when I'll get to these.

MW2 also wasnt ringing up properly in the computer for me, but it still went through just the same. As well, the Manager cut another 10% off Alan Wake for me, since I found a shelved game with a disc in it while I was browsing, basically making my whole purchase Alan Wake + 2 free games :applause:. Yay for good karma!

Last I checked this thread, there were reports of games being taken off the list for the discount. At my local store, a few of those titles were actually stickered & in the bin, like BC2 Ultimate & MySims Sky Hereos.

This was @ the Peterkort Square store in Oregon.
 
Ninja gaiden Sigma 2 was priced $17.99 used this was a gutted new copy, with a $10 extra sticker off and they didn't honor it :bomb:
 
I'm going to be raiding a few stores for PS2 games over the next week - going to be going through the entire online PS2 inventory to scope out pricing, and see about scoring some of heavily discounted new games like NGS2...just have to find some new copies with the right stickers on them.

Have the original XBox games gone to 75% off yet? My God is that taking forever...
 
YMMV. If anyone is interested in WKC, most Targets have it on clearance for 12.48, which is cheaper than GS's price (20). I was able to snag the last copy at my local Target.

No promos work towards cash trade, and I believe cash is 80% of base credit value
 
Nope; with cash, you'll get no bonus percentage. Also, what you get in cash is also like 20-30% less than the base value in store credit, so you would really be giving that stuff away. Craigslist.

Tempted to unload some of my games for the 50% credit to pick up Nier tomorrow... problem being all the games I plan on trading in are old clunkers that aren't worth much. Not that I mind that, I just usually wait for them to do the trade 3 get 10 bonus credit deal to unload games. Any game I'm trading in is so old and worth so little the 3.33 I get for each one trading 3 that way is usually more than 50% of the games value.
 
Hah, I'm looking at my pile of games and trying to find the ones that have an 8-10 hour single player story, and nothing else, and hoping to finish as many as I can while the promo is on. Yay winter break!

And you can maybe still get it for $7.50 used as part of the blockbuster sale. I saw about a half dozen at mine yesterday.
 
So i have a rather pertinent question:

Since Halo Reach is 50 dollars, would preowned be 45? or would they both be the same price?
 
So the 50% thing was just a rumor? On the website it says the tiered thing runs through December 23rd and nothing about 50%...
 
Should be valid. I'm looking at the flyer and it says "for any game traded in" which means no required number of games needed (like the 6 for 40%). Valid 12/12-12/19

The 50% bonus started today and runs through 12/19. It's on the website.
 
SAVER is a shipping code.

And go to amazon MAG page about mid way down it'll have a link that says "Prices lower elsewhere" or something like that.
 
This sale is a little bit of fail. In-store the used prices are so ridiculous it's pretty hard to justify many purchases, even with B2G1. Many of these games have be permanently dropped so their NEW prices are lower then USED at GS. Then online you can't stack (at least I can't) CAG16 with the B2G1 code (although you can SAVER). Plus, the TiV's are ridiculous as well, WITH the 60% extra I only got $28 for Madden 11 fuck!

Just curious...where? I still don't see it on the website and it's definitely not in the "trade in deals" sections, I have it up right now. I know it's valid I did it today but still not seeing it on their site...

I was able to pick up Mag for about $9 after tax, it was listed as $19.99 used, but had a $10 mark down sticker. Then I used my edge card to get a dollar or so off and then, tax bumped it back up to $9. Not bad though.

MAG is fun, but be prepared to be underpowered for a long time. I picked it up and 10 bucks on black friday, and while the game is really fun, I got frustrated quickly with only being able to muster 3-5 kills in a single match - for 5 xp a piece, and taking way too long to level up.

Have been told to spec into healing or whatever to level up fast so I can res people, but that kind of sucks to have to spend my starting points on something like that rather than improving my guns recoil or reload time.

I liked the game, but will probably stick to Bad Company 2 (which I got at the same time as MAG and leveled up insanely fast in comparison and good times were aplenty)

At the price it is worth a try if you don't mind playing with a disadvantage.
 
i just came back from gamestop with a list of 13 ps3/360 games that on amazon i could get $91 for, it came up to about $25...
even with the extra 50% its still like 1/3 of amazon and with amazon you get a gift card that can buy nearly anything. luckily i also did my grocery shopping for the week right next door or the trip would have been a total waste of time.

i honestly dont really need the money but i hate to see this pile of fairly recent games just sitting around taking up space. i did try craigslist but all people there do is lowball you or flake when you agree on a decent price, at least in my area..
