So, the purchase would be responsible for making sure there is enough credits on the card around the time when the preorder ships? Otherwise, I would imagine the order would automatically be canceled due to insufficient fund. Right?
From what I remember they charge your credit card if you don't have enough money on your card to cover it. If you don't have a credit card on file with them then I have no idea what would happen.

Also they updated again with a bunch of bonuses for different games, including one for the Gears of War 2 limited edition, but I don't see anything listed that doesn't come standard with the limited edition.

Got the fallout 3 stuff today after i switched from harvest moon (to get the free cow obv). Soundtrack is pretty damn cool.

cheeers,
is the Mirrors edge messenger bag still available even though there is going to be a $130 bundle that come with a bag?
The $130 bundle bag is different. It's from Timbuk2 and specially designed.

Does anyone know which one looks like the actual in game bag? I've seen pictures of the yellow one but it's all concept art.

Interesting, I didnt even know there was a second bag. I've never dropped 130 for any type of bag, and I hope I never will.
Will MK vs. DC be good it looks very medium salsa
If you liked the Mortal Kombat games for X-Box, yes. If you like DC Comics, well, even better.

But if you didn't like the XB MK games, you may wanna rent.

From what I saw of gameplay video, the yellow pre-order one is like the in-game one.

If you want to take a look at the red one:

http://www.joystiq.com/2008/09/25/130-mirrors-edge-comes-with-timbuk2-messenger-bag/

Faith's face is on the inside flap which makes it look kind of lame in my opinion.

It's not necessarily a bad deal really. Timbuk2 is a pretty reputable bag company, and it seems like the preferred brand of the "hip and trendy"-types. The smallest messenger bag form Timbuk2 costs $90. I guess it's a good deal if you are looking for a messenger bag.

I guess I'll stick with my free bag then. I mean, the yellow one is cool because it's a replica of the bag in the game. The red one is just a bag. If I really wanted a bag I'd get one a lot less flashy and a lot less expensive.

Well this sucks, they updated the bonus for Street Fighter IV and now you get a headband for preordering and there's no mention of the artbook.

Guys I was just at Gamestop site, and they added this to any Mirror's Edge Preorder:

Reserve Mirror’s Edge and receive a code to gain exclusive access to the Mirror’s Edge Demo. Online and In-Store Pick-up Customers: Your code will be emailed to you. Please provide a valid email at checkout.
Store Customers: Will receive a rave card containing the code at time of reservation.

This makes it interesting, cause I could reserve and play the dome and if I don't like it I can cancel it. But I wonther how this works since demos are ususally on the marketplace or Playstation store and are free.

They have this now well in advance of the game?! The description online says it's included with the game.

Mirror's Edge exclusive demo has me very intrigued. I really want to play a demo before I buy it. Are we sure this is the kind of thing where I could reserve, try it out, and then cancel if I change my mind?

And what's a "rave card?"

I assume its some card with a code on it, I didnt know Mirrors Edge demos were exclusive?
Rise of the argonauts release date got pushed back to 1/1/09 . http://www.gamestop.com/browse/sear...ode+matchallpartial&Ntt=rise of the argonauts
kinda sucks, but actually works out since now i only have to buy 1 game on that day -golden axe beast rider ps3- instead of 2. *phew* hopefully with the extra time they really polish it and make it worth waiting for *keeps fingers crossed*
1/1/09 is a placeholder date for the month of January. If the date isn't a Tuesday, and 01/01/09 isn't one, then it's a placeholder for a release some time in January.

Has anyone pre-ordered Street Fighter IV and received the art-book? Or the headband is the new pre-order item and the art-book has been scrapped?

is there a special tactic that you guys use to get preorder bonuses? they have never given me anything other than my game. last week i was the first person in the door to pick up rock band 2 and i didn't get my t-shirt. the employees were all wearing them. when i asked about my tshirt he said "your looking at it". is it commonplace for gs employees to steal the bonuses all the time or what?

It's entirely up to you but I would contact GS corporate stating that the primary reason you pre-order games is for the bonuses. Just throw in that when you picked up your latest game, Rock Band, it was like a punch in the stomach that the employees were wearing the bonuses and you were left out. You might receive an apology or something more but nothing is going to happen if you don't do anything.

Yeah, it seems to be pretty typical. You pay more for shipping, but I always order stuff with preorder bonuses online as they're usually pretty good. The only preorder bonuses I get from GameStop b&ms are the cards with codes on them. They don't really seem to care about those. But the "You're looking at it" comment took a massive amount of balls and arrogance on the part of the employee. I'm not a thief, but I imagine going up to the person you stole from and going "Hey, look what I got!" is not smart.

Back from visiting family and friends for the weekend. Updated bonus on Street Fighter IV to show the headband instead of the artbook. Also, SFIV now has a PC version showing.

I just got an email from the James Bond Quantum of Solace website and it says that if you pre-order the game, then you get a code for a multiplayer map pack that will be released in the future.

Thanks for that. That one wasn't showing up the way preorder items usually are categorized.

Added bonus for James Bond: Quantam of Solace. Removed Izuna 2, as it's finally showing without a bonus item on Gamestop.com. Updated several games with images for their preorder bonuses, as Gamestop updated their website.

I preordered Mirror's Edge as GS a couple days ago and didn't get a "rave card." The employees looked confused when I mentioned it and said that they hadn't heard anything. On a related note, the Mirror's Edge GS page is now saying that the demo will come out November 6th.

Is the Ninjatown Plush Pre-order giveaway still ongoing? Gamestop makes no mention of it on it's site. No big deal if 200 people already bit (but that just makes me even more curious to see how the plush looks. Probably really nice if it's limited to just 200 people).

Anyone think that the downloadable pre-order bonuses will be available for everyone to download later on? Has this happened before? I just don't feel like dropping $60 on a game when i ahve so many to play but the God of War skin for LittleBigPlanet is pretty sweet.

Probably all gone. My preorder shows the plush as part of the order now.

Do you mean like it shows on your order summary? Becuase my Valkyria chronicles and Mirror's Edge pre-orders don't list bonus items, which was kind of troubling to me.

Closer to the release date bonus items start showing up in the order summary. Happened to me with metal gear solid 4 LE, at first the game was the only thing in the summary then closer to the release the art book and DVD appeared. My Mirrors Edge and Dead Space orders don't show any bonuses yet.

Ohh, ok. Thanks. It has been a long while since I pre-ordered from EB/GS (the last one was Portrait of Ruin, actually) so I guess they changed it since then.
Got my Fracture Pre-Order bonus today. It was an action figure and a dog tag.
Did it come with a code for a downloadable skin?

Added bonuses for We Cheer and National Geographic Panda. Removed Ninjatown, as it appears that the limited preorder bonus has been redeemed.

Hey, I just preordered some games for the first time from gamestop and I was wondering about somethings. I preordered Dead Space, Mirrors Edge, Mortal Kombat vs DC LE and Saints Row 2 LE. I got the artbook for Dead Space and I know you get the Mirrors Edge bad when you pick it up but what about the MKvDC lithograph and Saints Row 2 Mini-Bike and Ufo? Any help would be mucho appreciated!

Probably also when you pick it up. The lithographs could be easily sold fast, more promos are being given when you pick up the game.

For anyone interested I got an email about free overnight shipping on Chrono Trigger at GameStop.com, use CHRONO as the code. Expires October 27th.
Wait, it says a code. So is this a download soundtrack? We can't even get a CD? Hoping that's a typo.
Lame if it's a downloadable soundtrack, but I preordered it anyways on the chance that it's not. Here's hoping!

Wow, at first I was excited about the Order of Ecclesia bonus...but for 6 tracks I don't even care if it is a cd or downloadable. Not worth it.
