Well, the trade in values for DOOM and Battleborn tanked to $20.00 each. Guess I'll have to suck it up and trade them in today, or should I wait for  a boomerang back to GS?

Well that puts a new spin on lurker. How is being a corporate stooge fighting the good fight. This guy is on another level of dumb. However Im glad cag has given meaning, drive and direction to his life.

That guy is something else, he was alright back in the day (when the flip groups existed) but since the game guides incident hes turned into a bitter "self-righteous"  fuck tard. Guess he really holds a grudge against this site.

I emailed GS and this was the response that I got concerning bans. I asked only because I wanted to know if they had set rules that were written in stone at corporate.

"There is not an specific trade limits because this depends a lot on the behavior itself, for example (this is just an scenario), I saw accounts where a trade of 1 PS3, a Nintendo Wii, 2 PS3 extra controllers and 5 video games (PS3 and Wii) will block the account and this is because the trade that is been done, is too big. Another scenario was, trade more than 10 games in a row. So, simple words, if you have a lot of games or any other console, please do the trades 1 per transaction, maybe one week you can trade 2 or 3 games, then, another week, one console. Doing this, you may not incur in a block behavior trade limit."

Yeah, that's a load of bullshit.

I didn't know this narc back in the day. But, from what I see of him today, I don't think I would ever describe him as "cool".

Can anyone explain what happened with that guy?

Was anyone every able to find out any detail about the Gamestop pro day this weekend. I seen that the 20% retailmenot coupon is good through that day. So wondering if I should hold of til then before i go and some trading.

So the same asshole JR detective who was being nosy last week to me because I traded in 2 copies of Left 4 Dead 2 in on separate days just called someone (I guess corporate) and reported me for trying to trade in 2 different Pokemon games today and said it was because I had been trading in too much "new merchandise" and he was going to ask them if he could even take my trades. That mother fuck er stared at the cartridges for a good 2 minutes trying to "inspect" them before he decided to call corporate. I guess he was accusing me of stealing them so I asked him if he wanted to see the reciept for them that I had in my car and he said "no that's not my job, as long as you can show them your receipt you should be fine". I'm like really? I'm being treated like a criminal for trying to trade in 2 games by some douchebag who has been working up here for maybe 2 or 3 months when I've shopped here for at least 12 years and never had any issue before now.

Also about a few weeks ago I bought a brand new play and charge kit and decided to return it unopened with my receipt. I originally paid with cash and the same guy told me I couldn't get cash back for my purchase and then showed me on the back of the receipt something about PRE OWNED merchandise return policy and I ask what does that have to do with new merchandise? Where does it say I can't get cash back? And that asshole says "where does it say you CAN get cash back"? I eventually got the cash back after arguing for 30 minutes and threatening to call his DM.

Do you guys think I should call and report him?

Absolutely. I'd talk to his store manager first. That's ridiculous

The employee was in the wrong about your return but you dug your own grave with the trade.

It should go without saying but trading in two copies of the same game to the same employee is just asking for trouble. When you have a junior detective, that’s when corporate gets involved. Next time just use more common sense and trade the same game to at least a different employee if not a different store. If you want me to spell it out for you even more, just do what I do and carry a bag of my games with me into the store. If the same employee rings me up, I just make sure I don’t hand them any duplicates (from prior trades with him/her) and keep them in the bag for another store or shift. I can understand the convenience factor to not want to drive across town but if you want to do this you have to practice more discretion. You will screw yourself if you don’t use common sense. Make another $7 profit at the risk of getting your account banned or just drive out elsewhere while making sure you’re in the game? Pretty easy decision tree.

The problem now is that you’ve been identified as “that guy” by the employee and trust me, people talk at work all the time so I would be awfully careful whenever he’s working there. He might just put other coworkers on alert about you. Personally, I would limit my transactions with him to strictly purchases from now on.

You should stage a sit in! Make a camp fire out of all the guitar hero ps2 games they have. Don't leave until you get either the DM on site or the police. That would please us, post lots of pictures.

My pro membership expires today and I'm not planning on going back because this fuck er seems to be up there 24/7 anyway. Couldn't care less if they ban my account but I figure its worth a shot to report him and see if I can cost him his job.

He wasn't a narc. He used to heavily partake in the penny guides, and had hundreds of guides for trade. One day, his district denied him a penny guide drop, so he decided to call the guide publishers to tell them Gamestop is selling their guides for a penny instead of destroying them like they're supposed to. Then he did something else stupid and accused to companies that CAG/Cheapyd did something illegal or some such, and he got perma-banned from CAG.

Now he's some weird narc cause he's banned from the stores in his area, because if he can't partake, no one can.

The 40something living in his parents' basement isn't even a joke.

That and he eventually got the hint when I banned him repeatedly and often for being a waste of space on the site. Though, as we see, he keeps coming back like the cockroach he is.

I thought that was that guy on SD called the cheapestgamer

Oh my gosh, what is his problem? I can't (won't?) understand why he goes to such lengths to "fix loopholes"; it's one thing to just point something like that out, but mentioning "a certain cheap games deals forum" seems to indicate he's holding a grudge more than anything.
He's probably banned from CAG. One of the replies said he's supposedly banned from GS in his area.
