WELCOME TO THE NEW GAMESTOP TRADE-IN THREAD.

The new thread format will be a work in progress but this first post will be the promos that are active and useful information, but also wikified. The second post will currently be frequently asked questions but may move it into the first post. Post three will be historical trade-in values from before the list.

Yeah, I'm gonna need some in store confirmation on some of these values. I guess I can be a guinea pig later this afternoon since I can just return it if it doesn't work.
 
Called a random Gamestop in my area and asked on the trade-in value for Battlefield Bad Company 2 and he quoted me a value of $6 before PUR bonus. So, yes I think it is active in-store. 

 
So much for playing Destiny this afternoon. Thanks for the in store confirmation. I've heard the saved estimate feature of the app is YMMV so I try not to rely on that method.

Gonna end up with a PS Pro for free if this keeps up.
 
Wonder if these will hold for more than the next two hours. I have enough stock nearby to double up my trade credit. Assuming of course any of my hold requests get honored which has been a problem recently.

 
I'm out in these Memphis streets treating this shit like a 9 to 5. On my way to an overstock warehouse to grab some flippertuniies. Anyone pm me some booms please
 
Wonder if it's worth hoping they hold till tomorrow so I can pick up from my home store tonight. Next closest store will eat up most of my profits in gas.

"As a general rule, we do not accept: Systems with pornographic or vulgar stickers."

Anyone know if dildo stickers are considered either? Don't feel like taking all of these off....

I kinda feel bad for the "normal" GS customers today getting $0.75 for Fire Emblem Awakening, $0.20 for Left 4 Dead 2, $1.50 for Mario Kart 8, or $3.00 for New Super Mario Bros U with Super Luigi U

I'm sorry I have to call you out. You're not a true CAG if you're wasting money on stickers. We all use permanent markers to draw them. That way you can tell how many times a game has been boomeranged by counting the dicks.

Im planning on getting the Madden Xbox One-S bundle.

I think the free game and the $50 off is a great deal.

my heart was really set on the Navy Green Battlefield-1 bundle.

do you think there will be similar deals (free game & $50 off) around black friday? or is this as good as it gets?

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would have said no a couple of weeks ago, but Microsoft seems dead set being very competitive right now, so I'm inclined to think there will be similar deals on BF. Sony is introducing a lot of confusion to the marketplace with Pro and VR, so Microsoft may see this as a golden opportunity to scoop up some value conscious people who just want to keep things simple.

Its possible, then again its also not. I think there will be the standard "black friday" bundle for 349 with one recent game then prob one or two old games but I dont see there being anything better value wise. But never know...I had 270 bucks in credit so to me 300 for a 1tb system and 2 games, one of which I will probably flip back this weekend to gamestop or best buy for 40ish was too good to pass up now just incase there doesn't end up being something similar/better for Black Friday.

 
Ok, can someone explain the Xbox coupon and if anyone has one to spare that they won't be using, it would be GREATLY appreciated because I'm in the market for a S. and what is the free game with it, can it be 2K17?
 
For those who have already purchased an XB1 S from gamestop, does the physical copy of the game included (Halo/Madden) come inside the box or is it outside?

 
Just converted my ~60 in GS credit at an nice gain to cash. Went to one store, bought all the games I had on hold, drove 3 minutes to the next store, traded them in with nary a peep.

Not too bad. Between figuring out the problem with our SQL DB, figuring out what our idiot vendor did with our workforce management package and this, today has been solid.

Madden is inside the box and then u get another free game on top of that so if u get the Halo/Minecraft/Madden bundles you are basically getting 2 free games.

I'm guessing they will hold all day but I'm on my way now to flip. Hope everything goes smoothly.
 
How do you all usually boomerang at Game stop. I understand the concept but I would think if you walked out the door and back in that the employees would be unwilling to help. I understand a lot of CAGs have multiple Game stops in their town bad sadly I only have 2 on opposite ends of town.

 
I just got major Jr detectived. She told me I wasnt going to get much and then started scanning and her eyes lit up. She let me do it but went straight to email and called the DM. Why?

Same store different day or different store. Some people do same store same day but don't be surprised if they deny you (which they have the right to do).

I legit lol'd at this. Couldn't even imagine coming across an employee who cared this much. I would laugh in their face.
