WELCOME TO THE NEW GAMESTOP TRADE-IN THREAD.

The new thread format will be a work in progress but this first post will be the promos that are active and useful information, but also wikified. The second post will currently be frequently asked questions but may move it into the first post. Post three will be historical trade-in values from before the list.

I got an email for Pro members saying I got a free 30 day trial to crunchyroll. If you don't know what that is, it is a legal anime streaming site.
 
I can confirm the $25 Pokemon promo works on more than one game.  Traded in 2 games for $50 and bought a pair of the pokemon boxer/briefs!  

 
I find it funny when gamers put down other gamers as not being able to attract the gender they're attracted to due to their gaming tastes.

OH SNAP!!!! Looking at the trade values on GS.com,  Cash is same as trade credit!!!!!     I thought that didn't start till the 18th

 
Well it looks like the S power supply's have taken a hit as they are only showing $8 value.  Unless its wrong and showing a different value in store.

They've been $8 on the website and via the app for months and during that time they have been trading in for $24 in store. I can't say for certain that the value has held, but I'd say it's likely.

 
Buy 2 copies of Red Dead Redemption from BB for $8.99 + tax (B1G1). Trade in both to GS for $7.70 cash each.

Profit is $6.41 - tax but the important part is that you can convert BB GCs to cash. Ebates is also offering 1% haha.

Red dead is sold out, so is extreme butoden. Not sure if there's any other flips.
 
That feeling when the cash is same as credit promo does not apply in your city (Vegas). We can sadly only get credit here, I think it's because of some crazy county casino laws we have around here.

Is there a B1G1 sale on preowned games at Best Buy right now or something?
 
Has anyone tried to get cash for their games today? I brought them in but they offered me less than the app said and refused to adjust the value
 
Just got back from them, the values I got in store were not the same and the cash is still less today even though it is showing the same on website. I did not notice at the time though and it probably worked out better for me as overall I got a whopping $1.50 more than I estimated. Sucks it was only $48 and not $60 though.

 
Tried to buy an eBay gift card today with GS gift card. Employee said sure and attempted to do so but the system didn't. Pretty much dead at this point.

Never knew about this until now, wondering if anyone has tried this and used trade credit in store with a store that does not allow physical ebay cards anymore? Maybe it will come up different in their system and it goes through. Might try this next time I am out and close to a Gamestop but not hopeful.

Also have a white knight employee at one Gamestop in SC that would not let me buy a Steam, Xbox or PSN card because she said it will go through but since they shut down ebay and amazon gift cards she is not taking the chance. Went to a different one and the employee didn't even blink and let me buy a Steam card with my trade credit.

 
I love how people keep saying it's dead without saying where they're from. Lol it's dead for you not for all of us. Yet. That's why we need that info.

and I bought it two days ago with no problem so sure, whatever you say mate. Thanks for posting your location though.

 
What about the collectibles 20% bonus?
I notice they don't list the terms and condition for the song of the deep bonus but they do for the collectibles bonus so that may be why there was an issue.

The terms of both offers say "Not valid toward cash trades". No one should be acting surprised when the bonus doesn't work on cash trades.
