If you don't know, Gameznflix (http://www.gameznflix.com/default.aspx?kbid=1447) is a site like Netflix and Gamefly, just together. You can rent movies and games. The only thing is their selection is limited and they DON'T have any DS games.. GRRR!!

But, when you click on sign up, go to I HAVE A COUPON and type in emmys.

Now look at the prices!

I don't know if it's going to be YOUR price..as in if you stay with this company for a year.. will it STILL be $12.75? (or whatever you choose)

And a personal question. I live at home. If my dad uses this for him/mom/brother..can I have my own account..? We have the same name too LOL (with the exception of Jr in it)

Thanks friar, good response. That's probably my biggest gripe about GnF. There are several "niche" movies that I was hoping I could get from them (Vertigo, The Odyssey...the newer TV one, with Vanessa Williams ;) ), but sadly, they're "on order". This service almost seems to be like Wal-Mart..or even Movie Gallery in a way. What I mean is, they seem to get the obvious new releases (Saw III, Pulse, The Guardian, etc.), but you'll frustrate yourself looking for those rare gems. However, even if GameznFlix is not a be all end all to my renting, I still find it worth the money (so far). I'll just use the Blockbuster giftcards I get through bointz.com to cover the rest. :D
 
Well, Battlestations Midway is actually in my que now. If you ask me, I think its fuckin retarded to list all the games and dvds, yet over half are "on order". Why in the hell list them at all. Only other gripe I have is that their site is insanely slooooow....
 
I signed up a few weeks ago. 2 out at a time for $10 is a steal. Took about a way for my first two to show up (Gears of War and Dreamfall). I just upgraded to 3 out yesterday, haven't received word yet of anything shipping though. I've could Champions of Norrath in my #1 slot.
 
My qeueu of 70 has vanished and I can't add anything to it. To make matters worse Pimp My Ride is still showing as out and they haven't responded to the messege I sent them.... Very annoyed right now.

Well my list has reappeared but the two items I mailed back yesterday are no longer in my out list which is SUPER fast so I have no clue what is happening. Maybe something will ship today!

This service sure leaves me guessing a lot and some items just don't have enough copies. Why is Grabbed by the Ghoulies a lower bar rental, you would think it would be available...

I cancelled and joined up with the coupon under a new email and CC. I signed up 2/2 and they shipped Lost Planet and Import Tuner on 2/3. I received Lost Planet yesterday 2/6. Also they shipped Carbon on 2/5. To anyone who has had the service for a while and is having problems. Just cancel and join again, it's cheaper this time around. lol.

I'll give it a few months and see how the service is. If the time between shipments gets progressively worse, I'll just cancel, but no way am I rejoining just to have the same problem (assuming stories I've heard on here on true).

So far, though, I'm 2 weeks into my membership, and things are good.
 
I signed up yesterday, added about 10 things to my queue but all of them say "short wait". I was hoping at least one would get shipped today so Id have it by the weekend. They're all older games, too, not new releases. Hopefully they actually ship something today...

Basically all items ship from "short wait". I think the only thing I've gotten that was "available" was the movie RV (for obvious reasons). I'm sure you'll get something.

I also jumped to 2 games at a time on monday and nothing ships

Today is weds and still nothing has shipped and this is the biggest piece of shit

i called them today and they said Please allow us up to 2 weeks to see why nothing is shipping out

My impression of GNF so far is just so-so. Roughly 80% of what I've put on my list is "On Order" and has been since I started my membership :whistle2:/

I was thinking of doing the 1 game at a time deal, as i dont have much money. I was just wondering if there is any fine or charge if i decided to quit after 3 months or later? Also can you quit online, or would i have to call them?

Yet I add the movie to my queue and the availability is "On Order 1/9/2007". So I email support to ask what's going on, and I get a generic response, lol

How do I rent this movie? It says Rental Ready but I add to my queue and it's on order.

their website is just awful!!! i cancelled netflix and gamefly to switch to this. you definitely get what you pay for (at least regarding the website interface) there is garbage sorting, and searching. you cant rate, search by directors, actors, etc... EVERYTHING is alphebetized. if you want to just browse, good luck!! its hard to complain when it is only 12.75/month though

One question though:

How do you know what you'll be shipped out? I've put half a dozen games in my queue at this point. Does the system just automatically pick the first available two based on the list and ship them out?

You're not kidding. Finding movies is a pain. Atleast you can rent M-rated games though.

Basically. Go into your queue and it had a list of the games in the order that you added them. You can move a game up or down the list to coincide with when you want to get it.

Honestly, it's kind of a crapshoot. I constantly get stuff that's on my list as soon as I send something back, but it can come from anywhere in my queue regardless of rank or availability status. Ranking something higher might mean that it looks for those items first, but the items at the top of my queue seem to get passed over a lot. I have no problems with this since as long as they are sending out things from my queue, I'm happy. If you are specifically trying to get a certain game/movie next though, I could see that getting frustrating.
 
I have a simple tip. I've noticed that if I return something around Tuesday, they almost always send me a new release if I boost it to the top. Even though Lost Planet is #1 for me it still hasn't shipped. But that is okay with me right now. Let's me focus on what I actually own.

That or it was luck of the draw for em to get Fuzion frenzy 2 last week and Flags of our Fathers shipped yesterday.
 
Destroy All Humans 2 came in the mail yesterday. It was #2 on my list, I was pretty surprised that it only took a day to get here. #1 is Champions of Norrath.

You just put the game back in the selve it comes in, then place it in the envelop that the game first arrived in. Fold and seal it and pop it back in the mail.

And they shouldn't care how long you have the game out since they will be billing you every month.

I'm gonna give them 2 more months. If my $24 is justified for 3 months of decent service.. I'll keep it longer.

So far, I'm really not having any major issues...but again, new customers pretty much get their asses licked in this things. Oh well, we'll see!

Well, sorry for your shitty luck, but honestly, I think any company (Gamefly or otherwise) would investigate having two games lost right off the bat. Maybe they're looking into it.
 
So F**k*ng ridiculous. I joined 2 days before this coupon came out and had 9 games in my queue. 3 weeks later only game I had shipped to me was Test drive for the 360 while im reading others are getting shipped games in my Q but joining after I did. I am a old customer, but still 3 weeks and 1 game shipped while 8 are in the Q. I emailed them venting about this and this is the reply

How do you guys send out games in what order? I had my account opened for almost 2 weeks now and had 1 game shipped out of 9. My freind joined on friday and he lives 10 minutes from me and he got FEAR and Call of duty 3 on 360 shipped monday while Mine are still on short wait? How does that make sense?

At the time of shipping our system will automatically ship those titles available in your queue. If at the time of shipping your number one title is not available for shipping then our system will move to your number two and so on and so on until it finds an available title and then that title will then be shipped out to you. There are many factors that go in to who gets a title and who doesn't. The titles in your queue show a short wait at this time and are unavailable to be shipped out to you. I do apologize for the wait but we are constantly working to keep up to date details on your account. Once the title is available it will then be available for shipping out to you at this time. joined on jan 19th and have had nothing but a positive experience so far. Games ship and arrive fast and in great shape. Two thumbs up so far for me.
 
I've had King Kong 360 on the top of my queue a month yet they send me others. I doubt that game is in high demand these days. WTF ? :whistle2:(
 
I finally got an answer to my ticket and it said I have to wait until the 13th and file another ticket that the item I returned doesn't show as being returned because the postal service is very busy or some crap.

To annoy me even more only Flag of Our Fathers came yesterday. I no longer have items comign in groups, it's going to be really spread out and that is bothersome to me.
 
Is there an expiration date on this coupon? I'll think I'll give the site a go once most of you CAGs have quit in a month or two due to crappy service. Less customers = better service for me.

But yeah, I've had this service since November and I'm cancelling as soon as my time is up. It's terrible now. I've had a big queue and open game slots all week. Nothing has shipped for days. Virtually EVERYTHING is "short wait".
 
i've now received my fourth "batch" of titles in 3 weeks. everything's been swell so far. if/when it gets bad, i'll simply leave. no big deal. for now, i'm happy.
 
Works for me so far. Got Ultimate Alliance, Castlevania for XBOX and Ice Harvest DVD within 2 days of ordering them. The only problem I've had is the Pirates of the Carribean sequel didn't come with the second disc.
