The source? My Dad. LOL

EDIT: Just found out where he got the code from, it's from http://www.retailmenot.com/view/gameznflix.com

If you don't know, Gameznflix (http://www.gameznflix.com/default.aspx?kbid=1447) is a site like Netflix and Gamefly, just together. You can rent movies and games. The only thing is their selection is limited and they DON'T have any DS games.. GRRR!!

But, when you click on sign up, go to I HAVE A COUPON and type in emmys.

Now look at the prices!

1 Out at a Time / $6.75 each month
2 Out at a Time / $9.75 each month
3 Out at a Time / $12.75 each month

3 out a time for $12.75 a month?! Holla!

I may do two at a time.. I haven't signed up YET I'm just sharing this info for anything.

I don't know if it's going to be YOUR price..as in if you stay with this company for a year.. will it STILL be $12.75? (or whatever you choose)

And a personal question. I live at home. If my dad uses this for him/mom/brother..can I have my own account..? We have the same name too LOL (with the exception of Jr in it)

I don't post deals often, but I hope this is useful to at LEAST someone!

Enjoy!

EDITED to change link to CAG referral link.
No company is perfect, but one of those companies has a good reputation, the other has a long list of Better Business Bureau complaints which are rarely resolved, and frequently not even responded to.
That argument would be valid except for the fact that as evidenced by other posts in this thread, most people have unreasonable expectations, and threaten to cancel when the #3 item in their queue ships instead of the #1 item. I realize not all people are that ridiculous, but if I'm being bluntly honest, I don't trust the majority of the world's population to have the intelligence to be able to judge what is and what is not reasonable service.

I wouldn't even have had a problem with Gamefly sending me the wrong game in the right envelope if it wasn't the VERY first game I received as a member. Now, as a business owner, and reasonable person myself, I know that this was just the luck of the draw. But, none the less, it doesn't make them look very favorable.

My complaint was mainly filed with the hope of getting a free month of service as retribution for such an embarassing start. But we'll see how much they truly care about pleasing the customer, and their own public image. As of right now, I've received no response from them (approximately 36 hours later).

I signed up for the 2 at a time plan and just cancelled it. I had a list of probably 15 games and movies in my queue. Of those, 2 were available and shipped pretty quickly. I sent back one movie because there was a new one available to ship. I got an email saying that they received my movie and I waited 3 weeks, but that 'available' movie never shipped and nothing else in my list became available. (my list wasn't unreasonable either - mostly old movies on DVD and Blu-Ray.)

Overall, definately the worst rental experience I've ever had, online or in-store.

But you sat there and didn't do anything when you're paying for a service (or even trying one for free). You are able to complain to them,

Speaking of that. Sent back Rapala (wasn't a bad game, just not my thing) and they got it last night. Today Meet the Robinsons shipped for the 360 (my #3).

Sadly, I'm thinking they can't ship my #1 which was that other FIFA launch game. I really wanted to play all of the launch games (that game's bar is at half and never moves). Might do a gamefly trial and get that and something else I want to try (maybe that second Kirby game on the ds)

That's not what I'm seeing in the posts I've read. People are complaining about not receiving ANYTHING, or receiving stuff from the end of their queue, stuff like that.

After close to a year of service I was still getting stuff on Gamefly from the top few picks on my queue, and the availability indicators were accurate.

But in my case, Gameznflix wouldn't even respond to my credit card company to cancel service when it quit working-let alone the BBB. Thankfully credit card companies don't take real well to being jerked around. :)

Yes, people are complaining about not receiving anything, or receiving low queue items. In no way does that fact alone make their complaints to the BBB warranted. As I've said many times, many of these people's expectations are completely unrealistic. I can go just a few posts up and point out what a guy did wrong.

reiji states that he signed up for the 2 at a time plan, and had a list of 15 games and movies. Mistake #1: 15 items is a fairly small queue. I've never seen a rental site (Netflix and Gamefly included) that recommends having anything under 25-30. He responds to me by saying the list wasn't unreasonable...he mostly had old movies on dvd and blu-ray.

Well, despite when the movie was made, I don't think you can call anything on blu-ray old. Blu-ray discs are not in abundance at ANY rental place I've ever seen. This makes his 15 item queue even smaller. He did say it had movies AND games, so depending on the system and newness of the games he was wanting, I don't think he utilized Gameznflix "quirky" system properly.

Yes, I did say Gameznflix is quirky. I don't think by any means it could go toe to toe with Gamefly. With Gamefly, you might be able to get newer games more quickly, but it's more expensive...and as I've tried to express, it's not always a glorious experience for everybody (I've seen a fair share of Gamefly complaints as well).

Gameznflix offers you a cheaper route, and allows you to get games and movies. I just think it takes a little strategy to get the most bang for your buck. (Oh, also...when I did have a problem...a broken disc..I submitted a ticket, and they got back to me right away..that same day) Also, a support number has been posted that you can even call if you're dissatisfied.

I've been a member since January, have the 3 at a time plan, and usually have a queue of around 25. I try to have one game out at a time, which I keep for a month or so, and use the other two spots for dvds. Right now though, I have two games out (Gears of War and THP8) so I'm just rotating one dvd spot. I'm averaging around 9-10 rentals per month.

Anyone who actually read this whole essay...lol, will probably think this was a Gamefly vs. Gameznflix debate, but to me it's not. People have the right to make choices, and decide what works best for them. If you're more comfortable paying extra, getting new release games, but losing the ability to get movies, that's cool. But don't knock those of us that are able to make Gameznflix work. I posted my Gamefly experience just to show that even they've got problems. Just go with the service that has what you value the most.

The thing is..it's hard to have a big que because there isn't much on the site! :(

Like why isn't TMNT for 360 on there? But it's there for other systems? ::shrugs::

I shoulda just done 1 at a time, i have 2 games sitting there until i beat one of them anyway. Oh well, ill keep using the service to round out the older games i wanted to play/beat and then cancel.

Have you checked out the BBB? That isn't the kind of issues they're dealing with. Generally people are just going to cancel if the service isn't giving them much of anything, rather than complain. The BBB issues tend to be a lot bigger than that.

How many items does Gameznflix actually let you have in your queue though? A year ago the queue size was super small, maybe 10-15 for 2 out at a time. Might have been increased though.

At any rate, I don't think I've ever gotten anything that low from Gamefly (although I probably have a mix of older and newer games).

But that's not why people are saying not to use Gameznflix-it's because they have a long track record of being sleazy.

GamezNFlix was a horrible service when I signed up for it a few weeks ago. Weeks without getting a single item sent to me, dispite near daily calls to customer support AND being on the east coast, which is supposedly one of the fastest locations for them to deliver to. I shut my account down before they could charge me again and rejoiced when I read that Gamefly was opening a new distribution center close to the east coast and havn't regretted it since.

I'm getting games every 2-3 days(the ones from the top of my queue, so I actually receive what I WANT to play) And I keep my queue around 5-10 titles at most. There's no point in making a huge 25-30 title list when I've never been sent anything past my number 2 spot on the queue.

This is all very well said. I'm not hating on Gamefly, gamefly is just too expensive and I am happy with my Gameznflix service.

As for getting items low on your queue, everyone seems to have this problem however I have constantly been getting things that are listed as first on my list. Out of the 5 rentals I've had, Lost Planet, NBA Street Homecourt, Full Auto and Crackdown have been in 1st on my queue.

I've consistently had my queue in the 40s, while my 'Titles On Order or Not Released' list is over 200. Of course, most of those supposedly on order are PS1 games that will never come in, but they remain in memory, which leads me to believe that one's queue can be rather large...

I concur I have new release movies for DVD in my q. Eragon, Smokin Aces, The Good Shepard and they have been on order foreverrrrrrrr. At least I have a bunch of other movies that I still had not seen yet but still......

This is actually the one area where I could grow concerned if this trend continues. I also have The Good Shepherd "on order", as well as Turistas, and the new Charlotte's Web. I'm not sure why they haven't gotten any of these movies yet, but I hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Bad news in Florida... nothing in my que has shipped in 7 days. The only things that did ship were really old games like Excite Truck and 2 DVD's - Mall Rats SE and a Sponge Bob dvd (that was scratched and would not play).

It also looks like they have not added new DVD's in over a month.

wanted to post a positve expiernce with customer support. been using gameznflix for about 5 months now with no issues. However the return on my last 360 game got either lost in the mail or their system. I waited about 2 weeks from when I sent it out and posted the issue late last night. Got a reply back and the game removed and next one shipped by noon today.

considering the complaints on this thread i was worried the lost game could be the beginning of the end but this promt, trouble free customer service makes me feel better about things...maybe i just got lucky but i thought it was worth noting....

Little concerned, both Spider-man 3 and C&C 3 have been on order since release. This is a slow release time, so there should be no excuse in getting these games, both are on my Blockbuster's shelves. We'll see how Forza and Shadowrun go later in the month.
Has anyone used http://www.intelliflix.com/ price does not seem too bad although they do not offer any wii games yet.....
Well, I've never dealt with them personally, but if you think the reviews for gameznflix is bad, intelliflix should terrify you. I think they've had more fraud suits filed against them than any company in the world. On the plus side, they do offer porn though...lol, so it might be worth the gamble! ;)

I understand everyone saying that you need a lot of items in your queue, but why didn't my available items ship out? I had Babel on blu-ray listed as "available" for about 3 weeks and it just sat there, even after they received my other items.

I joined at the beginning of February, and noticed most new releases and several on order items added to GnF's inventory through March. I've had no problems receiving and returning items.

Since then, I have only seen a few new release DVDs make it into their inventory. Forget about older items on order. Now I can't locate any popular new-release DVD titles on the site except by reaching them through my on-order queue. I concur in the not-a-good-sign sentiment. Until now, I was happy with the service. Perhaps I will reevalute when I exhaust my 65-title "available" queue.

X360 game selection remains good except for TMNT, but I have switched to movies for lack of recreation time.

Dammit to the hell. Three items returned. Only one showing as returned and I had my new #1 shipped.

If nothing ships tomorrow or shows as returned I am canceling and signing up with a new account for that wonderful $1 month. Screw this crap.

Well, Armored Core 4 shipped. However EarthD efense (which i mailed back first) still hasn't shown as returned. I'm going to cancel tonight and resub with the code again. It should all work fine then.
what wonderful $1 a month do you mean. Is there some new special price/coupon?
No, they only charge you $1 for the first month :)

I threw all my Wii wants up front this time. Really want to play it some so it doesn't feel like I wasted 250, which right now is how it feels :( Something should ship tomorrow er today

Well, I noticed that Spiderman 3 is finally no longer "on order". However, the complete lack of new release dvds just pushed me over the edge. I submitted a support ticket because I at least want an answer for this. In my opinion, it could mean one of 3 things.

1. They're making the shift from regular dvds to hi-def (to me, this is extremely unlikely considering most consumers haven't made this switch yet).

2. They're going to abandon movie service altogether, becoming Gameznthatsit.com.

3. They're losing so much money, they're struggling just to not go under.

Either way, I want an answer. I've said all along that I don't have a problem with it taking longer to get new release games (they're more expensive), but when they can't even keep up with the big release movies, it's asking too much.

Wow, believe it or not, they've already gotten back to me (that took like..an hour, lol). Here's what they said.

"We do appreciate your feedback in reference to new release items, Over the past few months Gameznflix has been working on a solution to be able to get the new release items and on order items shipped out to our members, The purchasing department has order several items and at this time all items are being checked into our new inventory,

We sure hope you remain with us as a member, We would hate to see you go, I do care about our member's needs, and I see you have not been getting your needs addressed, For any lost time and as a courtesy I have given you full 30days credit for last month, Please allow the 10 business days for the transaction to be processed through your bank, I also gave you a month free, Your next billing date will be July 16th. thank you for the opportunity to allow me to help you out, Have a great weekend, and let me know if you ever need anything else."

While this didn't exactly answer my question, I still appreciate at least being acknowledged and them making an attempt to make me happy. Hopefully this new "purchasing and inventory solution" isn't just a load of BS, but I guess for now, I've got two free months, so I'll wait and see.

Maybe they are just having problems processing the stuff into their system.

Oh and I got 2 games shipped yet I'm doing 3 at a time...

#2 Excite Truck (YAY)
#20 Chronicles of Narnia (PS@) which was listed at a very long wait and some how shipped and wasn't near my top. How weird.

No third game had shipepd from my new account... Getting annoyed. Oh and they sent me the CUBE version of Narnia instead of ps2 :'( Thankfully I own a cube and a wii.

Just my $.02 worth. I live in Durham, NC and have the three out deal. It's been great! They get here in just a couple days. The only thing is that it seems like their selection is pretty lame. They don't have a popular game like oblivion? gay. Other than the low selection it's been great.

Jeff

This could have been a good deal but I think I'm going to cut them off and just burn the $10 to rate here locally instead of waiting so much. Even for the "ready to ship" titles.

I'm on my 3rd month of service and have not a single complaint. I only use it to order Xbox 360 games though and live in New York so I don't know if that matters.

A few new DVDs have finally shown up in my queue: Apocalypto and Dream Girls.

New and relatively new DVDs still on order:
Pan's Labyrinth
Eragon
Fountain
Good Shephard
Hitcher (remake)
Last King of Scotland
Letters from Iwo Jima
Mirrormask
Queen
Smokin' Aces
Volver
+ many of the new independent and new Criterion titles.

Even after signing up again with the coupon I ahve 1 item out of 3 shipped. and it was my #20. They aren't responding to my questions. This service now sucks, big time.
Even after signing up again with the coupon I ahve 1 item out of 3 shipped. and it was my #20. They aren't responding to my questions. This service now sucks, big time.
I'm amazed that you guys don't get responses. Over the course of my 4 month membership, I've submitted 2 service tickets, both of which were responded to within 24 hours. I don't mean to sound insulting, but when you complain to them, do you sound like an adult? Are you respectful? Do you express your disappointment with your membership and that you're strongly considering cancelling? Seriously, the last ticket I submitted got a reply within an hour and the guy gave me two months for free..lol.

On the other hand though, my little experiment with Gamefly has not gone well at all. Even with the shipping center in PA, my turnaround on games is about a week (I'm in NC). It takes them 3 days to get a game to me, and 3 more for them to receive it. Also, whoever said new releases were plentiful was talking out of their ass because I've yet to be able to get Spiderman 3 or God of War II. Also, classics like Silent Hill 2 and Fatal Frame III are almost impossible to get. Gameznflix isn't perfect, but I'd definitely rather stick with them.

It sometimes takes days for em to get a response and they just boosted my free trial by 14 days since nothing is shippin. Nothing has shipped yet either....

Just signed up with gamefly to giveit a go (plus I wanted some games that GNF doesn't carry). With the center in Pa (where I lvie) it should be better than when it was on the West Coast.

They updated my 2nd comment about nohing shipping. Said I a now a VIP member and items should ship to me... We shall see.

Not sure I'm understanding their ticket system. I sent one in and looked at my e-mail. Said they got my message and that they responded. So I logged in and then logged into the ticket service thing to see what they said, but it told I hadn't any issues out...

And it was also odd to see, they seem to have shipped something to me off my queue the same day even though nothing had shipped for almost 2 weeks. /shrugs.

I just had my first GnF disc lost in the mail on the way to me. I waited two weeks per their policy, but they responded to my ticket right away. Lost movie was removed from my rentals, re-added to my queue, and shipped by that afternoon.

I've had gamesnflix for over a year now and the best way to get something shipped to you is it to keep at least 15 games on your queue. You may not get the game you want when you want it but at least you are getting something.
Signed up! Thanks!

EDIT:

How long does it usually take for them to get new releases in stock. example; Forza 2?
They wont. This service has gotten super shitty in the last few months on new releases.... I think everyone on here needs to complain and maybe they will get their act together....

It says they will get shadowrun on the 30th and today is the 31st. On top of that, I switched from a trial account to a payed account because it said the game had been recently released, but when I go to rent it, it says they don't have it yet. What a bunch of bullshit.

Well, now I am gettign all of my high wants. Elebits came and was mailed back. FIFA 06 (360) which was on long wait shipped. Spiderman 3 (360) also shipped. nd today Warioare for the Wii shipped. My poor neglected Wii is finally getting some love. Too bad none of the games are thrilling me. Excite Truck was good though.
