If you don't know, Gameznflix (http://www.gameznflix.com/default.aspx?kbid=1447) is a site like Netflix and Gamefly, just together. You can rent movies and games. The only thing is their selection is limited and they DON'T have any DS games.. GRRR!!

But, when you click on sign up, go to I HAVE A COUPON and type in emmys.

Well. I can't even log in today. It says technical difficulty error page when i try and just sends me back to the main page. Grr. Will try again tomorrow. It amazes me that a site so dysfunctional can become even more so after a re-haul.
 
Is it just me, or does it seem wrong for their slogan to be "life without pause". I cancelled because i was "paused" for 3 months and didn't receive a damn thing from these a-holes!

I'm a little aggrivated that I can't find the 3 games I have out. They seem to have been misplaced when I moved back in with my parents. I haven't used them in fuckin months and really want to just cancel
 
Note on the new site - when you search for anything, don't just hit enter after typing in your query. Doing so will just log you out. You actually have to hit "Search" for it to work.

Looks like there are a ton of bugs that need to be worked out on the site.

You see, that's weird. Maybe it's a location thing, but with me in Vegas, they always show my returned item as returned by that very evening. I sent back an anchient game from the bottom of my queue (sigh) at 8:30 this morning and now in the past hour (10pm-11pm) it has gone from out to returned status. I'm always amazed by that. I had a lot of issues with lost games when I was in Gamefly and now I just take the envelopes into the post office on the way to work. It's a little more time consuming, but it works well.

Still it's shocking that they're always sending out such old games, but for $10/mo I can live with it. (BTW sent games usually take about 4 days to get to me).
 
I also get acknowledgment of a returned game by the next day. I suspect it has something to do with your local Post Office having (and using) certain scanning equipment to scan the bar code and that somehow gets relayed to GNF.

Although I don't like what they've done with putting your queue in the scroll box within the screen, I do like the fact that you can view just the games or movies in your queue. I also like that you are no longer automatically logged out every 7 minutes. I also like the nQueue preferences. They just need to add a few more options, like I want 1 game and 2 movies at any given time, but it's a step in the right direction.

There's also a note on their page that they are starting to focus more on games. Whether or not that means they'll stock new releases sooner, and more of them, we'll see. But it's looking more positive now than a couple months ago when it appeared they may be about to close their doors.

I canceled my service after about two months. Good deal, and I like being able to rent games and movies from one service, but the execution is lacking.
 
I made my first payment on 6/5, so I've had it for about 3 months now. Within that time, I've had 24 rentals sent to me. 12 dvds and the rest have all been 360 games. I don't have a problem with their service at all. As soon as they get an item back, I get something else from my queue shipped the same day. I've got 30-40 items in the queue, and it's not necessarily one of the ones at the top (even though they say they have full stock), but at least it's something.

I don't go for just the newest stuff, and maybe that's where a lot of you guys have problems (just speculating). I didn't get my 360 until over a year into its cycle, so I have a lot of the older titles in my queue and those are mostly the ones that have shipped. I'll definitely cancel my service if things start to dry out and stop getting shipped, but I've got quite a few older games still yet to try.
 
My problem was half the time, the discs would arrived scratched and unreadable. In one instance (Amped 3 for 360, so not a new game) showed up completely broken in half!

So you would wait for months to finally get a certain game, and when it did arrive, you couldn't play it because it was scratched to hell. It wouldn't be so bad if you could get the same game in a few days, but you'd have to end up waiting weeks (if you're lucky) for the game to get picked out of your queue again, even if you had it in the #1 slot.
 
I never got any games or dvds I wanted.

I cancelled after waiting for them to have Shadowrun for 3 months. The entire time it said "on order". They did that with tons of games and movies. "On order...on order...on order"!!!!
 
The last two times I've sent movies back, I've returned both from my 2 at a time plan the same time, and they haven't sent out the games at the same time to replace them. And this time (they've only sent out 1 game so far), they picked literally my last choice from my entire queue of one I would have wanted right now.

I had pretty much already decided I was going to cancel because I don't rent enough games to have both GameFly and this, and I'll pay a little more for Gamefly - Brightspot instead of put up with Gameznflix.
 
This is kinda sad. I started this thread back in January, and over the last 9 months..it looks like the service really has not improved at all.

And I'm sure they received a hell of a lot of people just from this thread alone...
 
i had cancelled my account last July. started it back up yesterday to see if i could get Two Worlds from them (since i imagine a lot of people played it once, didn't give it a real chance and returned it) and they don't have it in stock. if they haven't shipped by thursday i'm cancelling again...i never get the games i actually want

I had this same issue with the World Trade Center dvd. I emailed their customer service to see what I had to do, and they said to send it back and they would immediately send out another copy. At one point, I actually had four items out, as I guess they didn't count the replacement WTC as one of my three.

I guess I'm the one person in the world that's satisfied with the service. Sure, they could have newer things and pick things from higher up in my queue, but I feel I'm getting my money's worth, even if it is just older stuff.
 
I was happy with their service, as I was getting all the games at the top of my list, then there was a glitch in their return system and I was regulated to such wonderfull titles as "Civil War" and "Cabela's African Safari". If I didn't have Netflix, I might have kept the service for their movies.
 
i like to come in here ever so often just to say how much they suck..

they havent shipped me a game in about a month...

edit... wow i checked my rental history and the last game i ever received was gh2 on 6/30..

that was the last fucking game they sent me

im definitely cancelling in the next few days
 
I'm currently signed up for their 3 out plan, and yes it's true you don't ever get anything to you that's on top of your list.The way I look at it, for the price, I'm getting a lot, who cares if it's not in the order I wanted them. For around the price of 2 360 games, I'm getting several different games in one year. I've gotten to try several games that had I bought or rented, would have spent more than I'm spending now with gameznflix.
 
Oh boy... I guess I won't be receiving NHL 08 in 14 days then. Well, will wait and see but I'm definitely not staying after the trial after the last few comments in here.
 
I joined gamefly about 2-3 years ago and I was missing discs that were shipped to me and when I shipped them back they would never recieve them.

I tried joining them last week and was told my address has been banned and until the USPS finds these 3 missing games from 2.5 years ago my address is blacklisted. Anyone else have this happen to them after 3 games with them?

Haha the exact same thing happened to me. When i was a member some years ago games here and there were lost. About 3 out of 15+ over about 2 years. My account was banned. Recently i re-subscribed under a new e-mail and everything works fine. Just create a new account. I think i may be using the same card.
 
Coupon code doesn't work, don't know if someone has mentioned it, but it didn't work for me. Maybe tag it as dead? I definitely won't pay the standard price if the reported service feedback is 60/40 (60 Positive, 40 negative)

fuck this. I returned my last rentals from them last Thursday and emptied out my queue, they received and marked them as returned on Saturday. I was going to close my account last night but I forgot. So when I just logged in to close it now, magically Crackdown(one of the games I returned) is back on my queue listed as out?!?! They already listed it was returned!! It was removed from my queue from being listed 'out' and it was marked in my rental history as returned. What the fuck is going on!!

They probally saw that I have an empty queue nearing my payment date and new I was closing so there going to try and squeeze every little dime out of me. Well fuck them I already notified my CC not to accept any more charges from them. This company is a fucking joke.
 
Getting ready to close out after my last batch of games. Get a broken (cracked) disc. Never had a broken disc in hundreds of rentals from Netflix since 2000. Broken discs seem to be a trend in this thread. Good riddance.
 
This is fucking joke. I submitted a service request on that game reappearing as out on my queue that was already marked as returned, so I can finally close the damn account. The request has mysteriously disappeared from their system. When I type in the reference number I got for it, nothing comes up for it, and I know it went into the system from 1 I got the email stating they got it with the reference number and 2 after I submitted it I checked under 'my previous issues' and it was listed as being submitted and pending. I also tried calling their customer service number all day long and all I get is a automated message no matter what extension I input. No one should even consider trying this company out. You can have better honest dealings with the mob :bomb:
 
Yeah the first 4-5 months I was on GnF they were always really good about sending me my next availible item really quick but the past 2 months I return a game and they do't send me anything for like 3 weeks.

I have 14 items in my "nqueqe" about half show almost full availibility yet they still don't send me anything. The price is cheap but what's the point of paying if they never send.

:lol: Yeah. I don't understand why people keep using them after multiple accounts like yours or mine (from months ago). Even my credit card company couldn't believe how scummy they were (had to involve them as Gamxnflix wouldn't let me cancel!)
 
Well, in 2 and a half months, I got a few games from GNF that I enjoyed (Crackdown, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and Lego Star Wars 2) and a lot of crap, and I've been sitting with an open slot for a week. Right now I have 10 games in my queue- 6 are new and 4 are old as the hills- none are shipping. Last night I signed up for Gamefly's free month trial and the two games I wanted most (Madden 08 and Bioshock) are already on their way. Sometimes you get what you pay for- I am canceling GNF today. Thanks again to the OP, though- I still feel like I got my money's worth for the time I subscribed, I just don't feel like I am getting it anymore.
 
Wow. I was just about to sign up for this. But I read the last page and I'm not so sure. So is it better to just get seperate Gamefly and Netflix accounts and pay triple the money than to go with these guys?
 
I'm fine with the service. it hasn't been over the top, but it's been just fine for me.

I got a cracked movie (Casino Royale). I noted it ont eh disc then shipped a replacement the same day I complained.

it slow to send back games as they goto a far away return center instead fo a local one. They are a bit slow to get new games, but I'm not the type of person to need the latest games.

I'm fine with things, it's not the best, but for $10 a month I can't complain about the rentals.
 
Well finally canceled my service, after not having gotten a shipment since late june. Now I just have to hope they recieve my last return and actually stop charging me.

So what's the best rental service assuming price isn't an issue would that be gamefly?
 
I've had GnF for over a week. I have a 3-at-a-time plan, but they've only sent me one game, which has since been returned. I was hoping to replace GameFly with GnF, but their website sucks and the queuing process sucks even worse.
 
If you're having problems with gamefly, like nothing shipping then complain. They have no problem dishing out refunds or free certificates. Also their buy it now option freaking rocks. Madden 08 3 days after release for 48. Just got Eternal Sonata for 37 after tax since I had 2 $5 coupons.

Hell, after my original complaint with them I've gotten stuff day after return. I firmly believe that Halo 3 will ship to me tomorrow. I've gotten a number of games from them within their first week of release like Madden 08, eternal sonata, blue dragon, heavenly sword ect. As long as an item is mailed back the day before a new release then you will 99% of the time get the new release.

Gameznflix on the other hand has only mailed me 2 games in 2 months but granted they gave me until the end of september for free. I'll be canceling after that.

I also tried Gottaplay.com and they were pretty good. short wait items shipped to me fairly quickly. In the 10 day trial I got 3 games on a 2 out plan. They are also a tiny bit cheaper than gamefly but gamefly is good if you use brightspot.tv
 
Signed up for the 3 out plan last week. I had 2 games and 1 DVD sent to me yesterday. One game was cracked and the other had the wrong game in the sleeve. Only the DVD was correct and working. My 33% success rate so far isn't very promising.

Gameznflix won't immediately send you a copy of your broken disc either. You have to send it back, wait until it's marked as received in the system, and then readd the title to your queue. So if your broken game had a long wait, I assume you're placed at the back of the list again when you readd it.

The search also seems to be broken for the past 2 days now. When I search for a title, it takes me to the logout page.
 
The coupon code still works.

Truthfully I dont like this service at all. The quality and speed isnt worth it. A reasonable price to pay for this type of service is probably 8$

They say to send it back, but I had the same thing happen and I got the replacement before I even put the broken one in the mail.

Since they remodeled the site you have to click search and you can't hit enter.
 
strange.. i reported a bad disc and they sent out a replacement..

i think i stil have the fucked up disc

o and they still suck.. i have not gotten a game in 2 months

When you notice that we have received the item back, please re-add the item to your queue and we will ship it out to you ASAP.
 
Has anyone checked out the "new" site for gameznflix? Did another company buy them or somthing? They have the "new" games listed as availible for rent, Halo3, NHL07, Skate and others and from what I was reading on this forum they had not received "new" games for what seemed like months. Anyone have a change of luck with the service in the last comple of weeks? Meaning has the game selection really improved and are they really sending out the games that they have listed on the site?
