Gears of War 3: Preorder Thread.

I have some ideas for modifying the GOW Edition console - what I'm thinking would be quite tedious but would look great! And no it would not be reversible since we would be using a laser-cutter to obviously cut into the console.

I had a previous plan which I mentioned many-many posts ago which sounded cool but would be a pain to do.
New plan involves 'simply' cutting out the circular red area that surrounds the skull logo and that's on the inside of the gear logo - and just a few select areas outside of the gear logo where there is the red splatter-effect, then we would be putting some nice RED LEDs inside the console to shine through around the black skull logo and some of the bloody-splatter-effect! And ofcourse both controllers would have the Red LEDs and so would the consoles power button - if you wanted it. It would look so sexy!!!

Here's 1 mod! My Halo:Reach L.E. console with Blue LEDs!!! SEXY!!!

anyone know where you can get some of the comics to DL and read. and where to buy some of the Old Action Fig. with out putting out $90 for augustus cole train.

Ok, I finally got the pics to show up without needing a link. My second MOD ever, it's a Halo: Reach L.E. console with Blue LEDs inside and out! Power button and both controllers!!!

I might get the Gears L.E. console and do what I stated a couple posts ago in detail: check it out!!!

This has been reposted so many times today. Sometimes I think people on here cant read the thread title that is like two threads below them. Lol. I will add this to the first post after while. This really isnt a deal I mean all you are saving is like $10 plus you have to wait to ship it and you dont get any preorder bonuses at all. I am going to stick with Gamestop and the Midnight Release because Amazon and UPS is way to slow for me. Lol.
 
The only problem I have with release day delivery is that some of my games arrive at 8 PM at night. I don't have a huge problem with that, though, since I work nights.

I've already got a preorder down on the GoW3 console. It looks pretty rad and I could really use a new 360 so meh, why the hell not?

Yea, I don't really think it is much of a deal so that I why I just posted it here for reference as opposed to creating a thread like others. That said, buy.com is the only place with the Epic edition listed for less than $150, and amazon has been stingy with giving out $10 and $20 credits on LE/CE/SE versions of games lately. I agree that there are better options out there if you want the pre-order bonuses or release date delivery but I guess if you are the type who just wants the epic edition and couldn't care less about pre-order bonuses or having the game during release week getting it from buy.com for $140 would be considered a 'deal'.

Oh well, my console is already on order from Amazon so now I just have to figure out how much more I want to spend on the other stuff and where I'll be picking up a copy at midnight!

It depends on where you live and how they ship the game. Normally they ship the game via UPS but I have baeen having bad luck with UPS. I ordered LA Noire they reported to Amazon that it was delivered at 4PM when in truth it was delivered at 6PM and instead of it being inside my door because I was gone at the moment it was laying on my porch like somebody tossed it up there.

You must have the same delivery driver as me. Where do you live. Lol. When the other guy had the route he delivered my games at like 8-9AM and I would play all day. But with the new driver we have on the route he saves where I live until after lunch or until the end of his shift. So I am stuck sitting around the house the whole day doing nothing but waiting.

I guess it can be considered a deal I mean like you said if you dont care about Preorder Bonuses and getting it Release Week it is a deal. But with me I am just going to stick with going to Gamestop at Midnight and getting it there. That way no hassle from Amazon and UPS like I have had in the past and I still get Gears of War 3. Plus my Gamestop is located in the same mini mall as Papa Johns so it all works out in the end. Lol.

Im pretty sure any half decent employee would realize that you pre-ordered/brought it and would find a way to print out a code.

I was able to buy the box set of the gears of war series 1 unopened for $85 but I want the singles! anyone want to trade or sell there unopened gears of war action figures?
 
I think I'm gonna do a Epic / Console Amazon/Gamestop switcharoo this morning so I'm sure I have all 4 pre-order skins

But what to do with the Extra Infected Map Skins and Adam Fenix? DAMN I'm so distraught if I want that console or not. Like I'm chancing that my fat Xbox I got Dec 09 won't die till 2015-16 when new xbox is out. But 10 years of a working fat? What are the chances of it living....... man I wish I could make my mind. I'd had to not buy it then it gets RROD'd and I have to get a boring slim.

You do know that Rod Fergusson hinted that in the future when the 1st DLC for Gow 3 is released they might also include other DLC such as MP Unlocks, Weapon Skins, and Preorder Bonuses. Its not confirmed yet but he said in an interview that they want to make this "THE BEST GEARS EXPERIENCE FOR ALL PLAYERS NO MATTER WHAT RANK!" He also mentioned that even if you dont have Level 100 and the other Grinding Multiplayer Achievements that takes a long time to get the legit way without boosting in multiplayer. You will still be able to get the unlocks at a later date. So hopefully my hunch is correct and the 1st DLC Pack has been hinted/leaked.

If you want to get rid of a Weapon Skin.Adam Fenix I will take one that way I can give it to my friend if for some reason he cant get the Limited Edition.

There was a Preview on Youtube but the sound was so low you could barely hear it. I was able to use my HD Headphones and here it. The Power On/Off sound is from Gears of War 1 when you collect a COG Tag. If I can find the video I will post it on here.

It doesnt, they said they tried it and it got annoying fast. The sound is the end of a wave. Which i believe is the checkpoint sound during campaign. Which would be perfect.

They removed this item off of gamestops website I don't know why. I know $90 is a lot of money for that ugly thing. I would pick it up of it was $25-maybe $50

fuck no, it looks like an oven designed specifically to break your 360 faster than it normally would. I'm stunned that stores are even willing to carry those horrible things with the amount of shelf space they must take up.

I preordered from walmart since I had a $20 gc to use. My total came to $40something. I contacted walmart through email to ask why am I receiving my preordered game 9 days after release day? They replied that its their policy, after a few more emails they gave me a $15 credit. So I ended up only paying $25 and got a $20 gc with the preorder, not bad :applause:

Dont feel bad I wont get it either. I really dont care about it either. So what you get to Lvl 100 big deal it doesnt anything. All you get is a little Star with Wings beside your name and an achievement and you might get an unlock in Gears of War 3 which may be released as DLC later on. I dont have the time or patience to try to get Lvl 100 I mean I could do it but I just dont wnat to. As you said even with the XP Events it is still taking to long. Now if it was a 50x XP or 100x XP count me in. I went from Lvl 38 to Lvl 65 in a two days by playing KOTH during the E3 30x XP Event. That alone gave me a headache. People screaming, Kids cursing, Lagswitches galore, and mexicans who cant speak english. (No offense.) Yeah I was annoyed. Lol.
 
Does the Microsoft store offer free shipping often? Currently Walmart's online is offering the better deal with $0.97 shipping.

Also, when I look at the Walmart bundle that includes Gears of War 3 and the Gears controller it doesn't show it including the Savage Grenadier Elite. Is this just a typo on their part?
